  1. I called and then sent an email as requested on Monday. I have not received a confirmation/number. I emailed again as a follow up and still have not received a response. I sent the email on the 1st at 1:00 PM. I was going to call; however, I saw that the shop is closed on Friday...MadDog
  2. Thanks BOB! I'll call on October 1 and get'er lined up!!! The timing will be perfect: Approved Form 1 MD Drums delivered Tony Accepting new work!!! HOT DAMN! Maybe my form 4 will be appoved too (a NIB CAC 22 - been waiting for 10 months on this f'ed up transfer) MadDog (Thanks again Bob) It's the top S12 that I'm going to SBS (this was before I added the FH and bayo lug):
  3. I guess I need to call Tromix; however, I am currently waiting on a Form1 approval (SBS) and I wanted to see if Tony is accepting any new orders. I don't want any special shit just a 8" Folding Stock shotgun conversion with the new gas system bla bla bla. I have already converted this one to PG (Tapco SAW Grip and FCG) and have also installed Tony's FH and Bayo lug (which will be cut off when the paperwork is approved). I would like to be put on the list and when my number comes up I'll send in the gun. What's the word Tony or my fellow Saiga-12 brothers? The Tromix websi

  6. I have two in my safe: one is a ranch gun - both are stainless. They both shoot; however, I haven't shot them in years (or at least since I started collecting AR's). I like a Butler Creek folder that I have on the Ranch gun...
  7. I looked at and lusted for one of the SVT40's when they were readily available during the AW ban. I believe that they were around 450.00 locally; however, that was several years ago!!!
  8. Let me be the 1st to post pics of the Suppressed Saiga 308 Brothers...

    308 Brothers

Yes the front sights were moved back and the barrel turned down and threaded 9/16 X 24. I had an adaptor made for 9/16 X 24 to 5/8 X 24 (50 bucks for the adaptor) to use the .308 can (the suppressor is 5/8 X 24). I had a local C2 in GA do the machine work (Thanks David S.) as David made the .308 can (Black Raven) and did his magic on the Saiga's!!! I did the conversions on the Saiga's myself (Pistol Grip and stocks). I also had David make an adaptor for my CETME as well as an adaptor for my AR's. The .308 can works great on .223 as well!! I can even run the .308 can on my shorty M16 w

    308 Brothers

Here is a pic of the newly finished Georgia 308 Brothers... I'm still waiting on the ACE Folding Hinge! It's really cool to shoot a .308 with no ears on!!!
  11. 2nd dibs on the Ace Folder if CnRnut bails out... MadDog76_NoSpamPlease@comcast.net (remove the _NoSpamPlease) from my email addy to reach me... MadDog
  12. Most people thread .308's to 5/8 X 24 because that's the most common size for .308 cans unless you want to use a thread adapter!!! Gemtech HVT .308 (5/8x24): http://www.gem-tech.com/HVT.html SWR Omeag .30 (5/8x24): http://www.swrmfg.com/ProductDetails.asp?ID=15 I'll post a pic of my .308(s) when they get back from the smith... 13. I need to have two Saiga .308's (both carbines) threaded for a .30 cal suppressor and the FSB moved back. Does anyone have any suggestions on where to send them or how much to pay? Both guns will need to be threaded 5/8 X 24. I have the guns at a 'smith' right now waiting to be worked on; however, after a waiting a couple of months I'm ready to actually shoot 'em (the guns that is). I don't want a do it yourself job for a flash hider as I want a professional job done right for a registered suppressor. Any and all ideas welcome. TIA MadDog
  14. The deal is that we like Black Rifles (or Black Shotguns in this case). The Saigas are AK's. AK's have pistol grips. AK's have folding stocks. AK's have Flash Hiders. These guns are PC'd by mandate from Uncle Sugar. We can legally convert the nutered PC'd AK's back to what they should be. We like to tinker with guns and (did I already say it) we like Black Guns! Would you want a corvette with 13" wheels? or a corvette with a truck body instead of a vette fiberglass body? If you could buy a corvette cheap with a truck body and leagally convert it back to look (and feel) (and drive) l
  15. Place the stock/gun in a chair and sit on the stock. Then wiggle the gun out of the stock...MadDog
  16. Here is one of my Chineese paratroopers all USA'd out with the OLD Tapco style folding stock...
  17. I do like this name. Like Skull said, it can be dual purpose. Great suggestion Eric. "MD-20" reminds me of high school and Mad Dog 20 20, a particularly nasty Mogan David wine. Probably just me though, He He He... "MadDog 20" There's a CO0L name for the Drum!!! ps Thanks KMoore for the CO0L words...kudos!!! Yours Truly, MadDog
  18. April Fools...HELL YEAH Put me down for Feyeve Fee Maggs mon!!! MadDog
  19. Why not make you own? I made about 6 tactical slings myself from these plans and they work great!! I went to the local Army Surplus store and bought buckles and webbing. I also ordered some cool webbing from Strapon.com. Check it out... http://www.ak47.net/forums/topic.html?b=3&...19&t=252462 Maddog Here is a pic of a black tactical sling that I made from the AR15.com plans on one of my S-12's: Here is another pic with one of my homemade tac slings on my FAL:
  20. I just bought two Saiga .308's to go along with my new .308 Can (yes I have some of the 20rd mags). I want to move the FSB back about an inch and have the barrel threaded 9/16X24. It appears that the FSB is pinned as well as brazed to the barrel in the front. Is this as simple as knocking/drilling out the pins and turning down the barrel next to the FSB to allow it to move? I would welcome any info on this upcoming project... TIA, MadDog in GA p.s. I also picked up another Saiga 12 Defender!!!!
  21. I received two major presents from my wife: The 1st one was a .45 Pistol. The 2nd gift was a shirt box that was very light. Inside was a brown envelope. When I opened the envelope there were two form fours, a cert of compliance, two fingerprint cards, and a check made out to the BATFE for 200.00 for A .308 SUPPRESSOR! I picked up my signed forms from the Sheriff today. Merry Christmas, MadDog p.s. NICE SAIGA InvestorSC
  22. Thanks for the info! I guess I really don't have to rush too much on a Saiga .308! Dude go get the .308 now. My .308 is my favorite rifle and it is evil accurate. You know you need one, go get it now before the price creeps up on them anymore. W0W!! I just received my .308 Mags! They are Most Excellent!
