  1. I think that the best product of this type is the Agrip by Brooks Tactical. I have them on all my Glocks.
  2. Any Standard AK stock will fit the stock receiver without any extra parts. All you need to do is remove a very small amount of material (about .050) from the sides of the stock where it goes into the receiver due to the thicker receiver.
  3. Saiga's are not thoroughbreds, they are plow horses. Don't worry about pretty.
  4. No it does not the puck counts as one here is a nice post on the compliance parts. http://forum.saiga-12.com/index.php?showto...mp;hl=922+count At least that's what We're assuming. Nobody knows for sure since the ATF has never given a definitive answer whether the puck or the carrier extension is the countable part.
  5. I'm in. I'll take a look around to see what I can find for the pay it forward thread.
  6. The TG and trunnion adapter are not countable parts, so no help there. The PG is an additional countable part, so it cancels itself out. The HG is countable so, so far you only have one countable part towards 922r compliance
  7. You need to do your home work first. That FCG is a take off from a de-milled AK parts kit. They are worthless. I've thrown at least a dozen sets in the trash.

Ask a competent gunsmith. I learned from a European trained master gunsmith with forty years of experience who builds custom 1911's and sniper rifles for the military and law enforcement. Perhaps you'd care to enlighten us?

    New Bolt

Adding specific thicknesses of anything to a cartridge tells you nothing, because you have no idea what dimension you are starting from. While certainly not ideal, adding a known thickness of material to a go gauge would at least give you a pretty good indication of where you are. Keep in mind that the difference between a 7.62x39 go (safe) and a no-go (not safe) is only 6 one thousandths of an inch (.006) An unfired cartridge is anywhere within that .006 tolerance. I have no idea how dykem is going to tell you anything.
  10. I'd actually be using a bolt-on Folder/PG stock (check the link in my 1st post), which leaves the trigger unchanged. But I need to swap out some imported parts for US. NO, NO, NO, a thousand times NO. Do it right and move the trigger back where it belongs. Any of those hang off the back, wannabe type conversions are uglier than a barrel full of assholes.
  11. $95? He's on crack. Jerks like that should be tarred and feathered. Ultra rare my ass. I just bought one last week. $59 brand spanking new.
  12. I think NB misread your question. No, It is not a drop in for sporter model. You need to move the trigger forward for it to be a drop in
  13. I'm not sure what you mean by butt pad Are you looking for a regular replacement butt plate or a recoil pad? If you are looking for a recoil pad for any type of AK stock, this is the way to go. http://www.fseusa.com/product_info.php?cPa...products_id=339
  14. The hole I am referring to is not covered by the pistol grip in this photo. I see the guy who submitted the photo didn't weld up the other holes, either, though. jonblack No, an original AK PG will not cover it. But most folks are using either a Ergo or Saw grip. Both of them cover the rear hole.
  15. You're comparing apples and oranges. The US made rails are CNC machined from billet aluminum and will stand up to a lifetime of abuse. The Imported ones are crap, cast from from pot metal. Like most things in life, you get what you pay for.
  16. Off the top of my head, I'm not positive, but I think you're OK. I would make sure first though. The laws for Pump shottys and semi-autos are quite different
  17. It counts as 0 parts since it is not US made. If it was US made, it would only count as 1 part. Countable parts are foreign parts, not US parts. You don't count US parts. You count foreign parts (from the 922r list) against the maximum of ten that you are allowed to have on a non-importable firearm. Leaper's is foreign made so it counts as one foreign part (handguard). Huh. Countable parts are countable parts no matter what country they come from. The question was whether it counted as 1 or 3 parts. I threw in the part about not being US made because it sounded like he thought
  18. No reason not to. Some don't bother because it's covered by the PG. But since I was already set up to weld up the other unused holes, I went ahead and welded it up also.
  19. I hope that someone, anyone, starts making a DIY trigger guard kit that approximates the look of a standard AK. In the meantime, I'll probably just order a saigatech kit, He offers it both ways for those who are afraid to drill. http://www.ak-builder.com/
  20. It counts as 0 parts since it is not US made. If it was US made, it would only count as 1 part.
  21. I love the ingenuity, although I agree with NB on why? I would question whether it counts as 3 parts though. There is no sear listed on the ATF's Saiga parts count.
  22. Here's a couple of more installed DPH pics. The fit is perfect.
  23. That is also a DPH. They make them for CSS
