  1. Well its still a POS IMHO, but thanks for reviving this thread so I can bash on them some more. Looks like you buddy was able to sell his in the For Sale section so I guess you're job here is done, huh?
  2. I'm not fimiliar with that model but I'm guessing the barrel is shorter which means the guide rod is shorter so I'd say no. But the one I was able to auction for a friend is gone now.
  3. Agreed, it sucked, too over the top. Too bad too cause I like Clive Owen. I'd recommend Children of Men to any action movie lover. King Arthur was good too.
  4. What type of bad-ass theater is this??? Probably a Movie Tavern. We have one in Lexington KY, pretty neat idea although the screens are a bit smaller than most of the competition (Cimemark, Regal, etc) in that town. They have waiters that take your order in the theater and a full bar in the lobby. Menu similar to Applebee's but smaller. They also show sports games live on their screens. The one here doesn't advertise much though (dumb) so alot of people don't know about it or where it is. http://www.movietavern.com/index7.asp I saw Valkyrie which was good, from what I've heard
  5. The auction has ended and the winning bidder is being emailed. On behalf of the compensator's owner and myself, thanks to all that took an interest
  6. Glad you mentioned the WASR, my friend and I each got one, both had raw wood furniiture that needed to be stained (weird but ok) and the magwells both had to be cleaned up with a dremel. They hadn't widened the Romanian's single stack magwell far enough. But yeah, the rifles work well to this day.
  7. Yeah, it's hit or miss. When they miss, though, they REALLY miss. You should probably play the lottery. What is it that's bad the head spacing or the quality of the metal? Like i said i haven't had any problems but then i have only put a couple hundred rounds through the AR pistol and 300 hundred throught the fal. But i purchased the fal used. Maybe i need to buy a lottery ticket. Because i have a cetme from century and put about 400 rounds through it and put some HK parts on it and same thing no issues yet. But i got to say the parts on the cetme did look alittle rough. Well,
  8. And then add $200 for the NFA tax.... a bit high for an AK. Even the Arsenal USA guns don't run that high.
  9. Somebody on here worked on getting the G3 mag to work in the Saiga 308. I don't remember the outcome.
  10. Yes I ran two of them, one on a 92F, the other a 92FS, as seen below. As to other 92 variants or the Taurus clone, I don't know, it was only designed for the 92F. The 92FS model just has an internal change to meet DoD demands for the military contract.
  11. I held one today and can say the size is a bit overwhelming. Other than that I didn't pay much attention, I've got lots of 10rd mags and that's a good size for me. You could certainly draw alot of attention using the 12 rounder though. People are still buying them up quick just the same. The surefire rifle mags have had very few failures so I would expect these to do well too.
  12. Here's some high res images from different angles for those that are asking. Thanks for looking!
  13. The akins accelerator also cost big I seem to recal it being like $1000. They had a booth at the Knob Creek machinegun shoot when they were still selling, a lot of looking, not a lot of buying.
  14. All black finish over aluminum. Not a scratch on it, except for the two bars that run under the slide, you can see the reflection where its been rubbed. These fit fairly tight but still rub against the slide and frame a bit as you fire due to the pressure. If you'd like different photos at different angles let me know. I don't mind.
  15. OK guys, the auction for the compensator is up and running- https://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem....?Item=119025094
  16. I think the best thing this country could do for itself is buy its own products. We are a nation of consumers, which is fine, but our wanting the lowest possible price is sending all our money overseas to factories in China, Indonesia, Mexico, via our local Walmart. American workers want and deserve an American standard of living unlike their foreign counterparts who will work for nothing and live in a hole because their governments are corrupt and allow their citizens to be exploited by big business. Paying our workers a good wage means we make more expensive products; this only works if p
  17. In KY a "hunting knife" is not considered a concealed deadly weapon and so it could legally be carried concealed without a license. Its good to know your local laws Of course since I got my carry license I rarely carry a knife but always a gun. http://www.lrc.ky.gov/KRS/500-00/080.PDF
  18. I heard today all models coming in are already at 2009 prices, went up about 18%. But $700 isn't market price yet. Wish I could say more but I can't
  19. Did the '94 AWB affect SBR/SBS? I heard it didn't. So if Obama follows through on his promise and makes it permanent they'd be unaffected. I can't imagine someone saying an M16 can't have a bayonet lug
  20. Ah ha, I see today now what pissed off some business members. I am in agreement with your posting from the 4th, you should consult my long PM from that same time to BVAMP that I'm assuming he got where I volunteered to remove any links and not advertise for them. From his message it seems you guys thought I was a full time employee that gained commission from forum related sales. As I told BVAMP, I don't make anything off the forum, I just share information like everyone else. I work for the Guard full time but I'm also in the store usually 3 days a month and so I see what's new and what's
  21. Since this thread pulls in alot of hits I'll announce it here- I WILL HAVE AN SGS COMPENSATOR FOR SALE I will be selling it for a friend through Gunbroker. Its not mine so no trade offers please. I've checked it out and it is in great shape. Has the usual wear along the inside where the pistol rubs it and of course has some powder residue as it has been used a little. Once the owner and I work out his payment methods I'll take pictures and post it on Gunbroker with a link here and in the Saiga forum's For Sale section. -KY Soldier
  22. When I talked to them they said they had just finished the Double Star orders and were starting on the Ace orders. So there it is. Since combining with a rifle manufacturer they've been slowed by the post Obama craze. Good thing for Double Star though who, as you can imagine, can and do offer ACE products on their guns at a good price. But I don't wanna promote a non-forum sponsoring business
  23. You should ask yourself what you're planning on shooting, soft or hard targets.
  24. Ace does make high quality stocks. I know they were bought by Double Star in Winchester KY. Seeing how they are extremely busy this may be the reason for the delay and poor communication. My friends and I have dealt with both companies over the years and have been very happy. We last saw Double Star at a nearby gunshow, they had a well stocked booth full of ARs, parts, mags, and ammo in limited calibers.
  25. Im sure they have many assembly lines. Keep in mind izhmash also makes ak's for the military. I was told they make models in batches and ship whatever models are on hand to fill orders with RAAC. They don't have an assembly line for each model.
