  1. I actually like all of them. If I were have the final say I would have bought a Hemi Challenger. But the wife had to step in and voice her opinion. I hear the Mustang is coming out with a new 5.0 next year to up performance. The SS Camaro is the 1/4 performance leader right now but that can all change next year. As I said before...I love them all. You cannot lose whatever you pick. When the kids are grown a tricked out Corvette will be sitting in my garage. My son is 15 and just got his beginners. The Camaro will be his in a year or two. Right now he has a 2001 Buick Regal sitting in the drive
  2. I always took the "pound for pound" stuff with a grain of salt. It is unproveable and highly subjective. And the rules of the different fighting organizations may play to one fighters strength and take away from anothers arsenal. Still, these guys are great athletes. There is one guy named "Crazy Horse" Bennett who is as dumb as a box of rocks. From what I have heard he doesn't even train for a fight. Just gifted with great strength and fighting ability. He has beaten some of the very best in the sport. If this guy would have some discipline and train I think he has the tools to be something g
  3. I really do hope the video is a fake. A kid that would shoot himself just to amuse his friends is a sick puppy. The individuals laughing in the background are not his friends...or at least not good ones if this is a real self inflicted gunshot wound. If it is fake then that would explain their amusement. The Kid racked the slide of the pistol in a very demonstrative fashion but, oddly enough, did not show a live projectile cartridge being chambered (if it was a blank he would not have wanted to reveal it). If I was going to shoot myself to pull a prank with a blank I would have done exactly wh
  4. I do not believe this is a real shooting. The video is segmented/redacted! It could very well be faked. And then again, I will concede it could be an actual shooting. The wound and lack of bleeding simply does not look real to me. Heck, he was squeezing the wound trying to get it to bleed. Does anyone know which state this occurred in? I'm not sure if shooting one's self is a criminal offense in the state this occurred in or not? If I knew where it occurred I could look it up. Playing with firearms like this is certainly stupid...even if it is just firing blanks and mocking up cigarette bu
  5. My best advice for anyone who believes this is not to be investing in any bridges anytime soon...!
  6. A lady wrote the mayor of my city and complained about people speeding on her street. She also wrote the local newspaper. So, I started running radar on that section of road. About a week later, and parked within (1) block of the "concerned citizens" house, I caught her speeding. I wrote her a ticket. She took her medicine absent any crying or whining and confessed she was wrong. She was right to complain about the speeding. It was a posted 30mph zone and I was clocking people traveling between 50-60 on a daily basis. It was a newly developed area without sidewalks. Usually the "complainers" a
  7. The man did nothing wrong by open carry. I just do not see the big deal. Chris Matthews is simply not that smart! He's nothing but headline seeking media parasite...a paid mouth! He gives political blowjobs! Ignore him.
  8. "Reduce themselves to law enforcement officers"...sounds like you have a litlle chip on your shoulder SOPMOD...or drink too much Koolaid. Soldiers, LEOs, firefighters, paramedics, doctors, lawyers, clergy, private citizens of all occupations...nobody is better than anyone else insofar as occupation. Without one there would not be the other, there would not be a United States of America to defend. I was in the Military, I was a Law Enforcement Officer, what life experiences do you have to back up your comments to degrade one or the other? Both are important occupations which have a common theme
  9. Before I wrote my last post I read up a little on the requirements for handgun carry in Oklahoma. It was well thought out except for the part (in my humble opinion) of military getting a waiver. This is not an insult to the military...many go on and become LEO's at all levels of government...which require additional training. It's just the military have a much more aggressive approach to handling problems...except maybe for trained MP's (I have no experience with this occupation). And I have read nothing which suggests Mr. Ersland was prior military. I'm probably getting to the point of splitt
  10. In Indiana there are no requirements for any training or schooling to obtain a handgun carry license. And Oklahoma does not require all residents to obtain schooling or training from a state certified firearm instructor to obtain a firearm carry permit. There are several waivers available. I'm not sure if Jerome Ersland received any schooling/training or not. And lets be real...it's a firearms instruction class, not a law school or a LEO Academy...how much can one learn in a few hours. Mr. Ersland will not be held to the same standard as a trained professional. He was a civilian who may very w
  11. This incident just shows the importance of contacting an attorney after a situation occurs which results in injury or death of another person. Even if you think you are justified an attorney should be called as soon as possible. Prosecutors have their own opinions concerning right and wrong. And law is ever changing! Once you state you wish to consult with an attorney a legal "brick wall" is built between you and the law at that point as far as questioning is concerned. Why so many citizens think it will make them appear guilty is lost upon me. Protect yourself...get an attorney! I have n
  12. I'm glad to live in the great state of INDIANA! Purchased a lifetime carry permit last year which applies to any firearm I wish to carry. No worries or troubling myself with renewing. No registration of firearms. Cost was around $150.00 IIRC. Indiana is a "shall" issue state also.
  13. Here in America some peepants would sue the police for violating their rights. That little shoving match is fairly routine. Looked like the police in that video did their job well without needlessly hurting the guy. Truth is they probably should not have let him exit the paddy wagon but they got the job done. Now if that were a military situation the guy would not have been treated so kindly. Spetsnaz are not peace officers...
  14. I say neither. In a real kickass war they will not be a factor at all. When the nukes start flying they will disintegrate at the same rate as everybody else. Intelligence wins wars...always has and always will. Special OPS are only effective where damage control/rescue is sought. This is not an insult to either organization...both are superb at what they do. But reality is some geek who couldn't bench press 150 lbs can push a button and take out millions with less effort than lifting a can of coke.
  15. I wish to alter my 308-1 Saiga exactly like "crazybeast". What all do I need? I already have the hi-cap magazines.
  16. t165... "t" is the initial to the name my mother gave me. "165" is when I stopped being a person and became a numeral...
  17. If my daughter had wanted to keep doing the pageant stuff I would have supported her even though I do not like them. It's her life and my job is to provide for her, help her succeed and be there when she needs a friend. But I am glad she lost interest. She actually won one and got runner up three different times. She also didn't place a few times and took losing well. She turned 13 today. We still go fishing together but she will not thread the worm or take her fish off the hook. But we have fun. Does anyone know how to make them stop growing up? I shouldn't be so hard on beauty pageants.
  18. I don't give two shits about the Miss USA, America, or what ever people wish to name to describe these cheesy pageants. My little daughter used to do this stuff and I went along with it to be a good dad but I always sat in the "pageant" mom section and laughed at the silly things the parents said. One day, when she was 8, her mom was taking her to a rehersal...walk through...I told her I was going fishing and she cried wanting to go with me instead. That put an end to the pageant crap. Perez Hilton is a no-talent, attention seeking, queer who changed his name to be similar to Paris Hilton'
  19. This stuff sucks. Credit cards are safer than debit cards. Well maybe...I was double billed a while back and my bank told me if I used my debit card then it is like handing out a blank check. You had better trust who you are dealing with. At least with credit cards there is a window of oppourtunity to report and insurance should cover your losses.
  20. I'm going to take a healthy shit right in the middle of the woods. Thats right...think about it. Many people under thirty only know modern plumbing. They will never experience giving back what one takes form nature. They will never "shit in the woods". Pee doesn't count. Nothing like being in that vulnerable position to get one's head on a swivel.
  21. The enabling authority for America to enter into treaties comes from the Constitution. Thus treaties are subordinate. There are limits set as to the scope of what can and cannot be entered into. Most of the framers of the Constitution wrote opinions later describing very clearly that treaties cannot take away what is guaranteed within the Constitution. Glenn Beck can get a bit excited at times...! As one of the founding fathers said of the treaty/constitution issue...a little common sense has to be used.
  22. This case has the SCOTUS written all over it. From what little I have read the 2nd Amendment issue wasn't even raised by either party initially. The trial judge raised the issue. This case has been bouncing back and forth for many years. If neither side files a petition for Writ of Certioria then the SCOTUS should use it's discretionary appellate review jurisdiction to issue a decision which melds all the conflicting decisions from sister circuits. And I do agree the decision is good for those who support the 2nd even though Nordyke lost some parts of the case.
  23. Speaking for myself Bvamp, I'm arguing in support of private sales of firearms between law abiding citizens selling their personal guns. Not guys breaking the law by setting themselves up in a unrestricted bootleg firearm distribution operation. If an unlicensed citizen sets themselves up in "business" selling newly purchased firearms in quantity then that is against the law and the proper authorites will catch up with them eventually. There are plenty of guys who have tried this in the past who have gotten to visit some of our finest federal prisons. However, the system works more effect
