  1. Thanks for all the positive waves. After a week it's still pretty surreal. I feel like the luckiest guy in the world. To answer some of your questions, it's located in Montana. Yes, there are three full baths and not one shower curtain/door. 3100 sq. ft. for the two of us. My wife works from home and this place will allow her to triple her current operation. No on the bomb shelter but as soon as I can rent a compact excavator it will have a nice root cellar. There is a detached two car garage. Now that I think about it, digging a magazine into the hillside might not be a bad idea.
  2. Not really. That is certainly a negative. I can shoot short range (pistol, shotgun) but probably won't. However, there is BLM land close by that offers unlimited shooting opportunities.
  3. It has been a crazy week to say the least. Last Sunday we weren't even thinking of buying a new home and by Tuesday we had an offer in and accepted. I was kinda farting around online and stumbled upon this place that had just come up for for sale. The next day we had a realtor friend take us through it. As we pulled up to the house I knew we were gonna buy it before we even got out of the car. This is pretty much our ideal home. It sits on 20 acres about 15 minutes from my work. It feels very secluded. The current owners have done well with fire/fuels mitigation and the struc
  4. FWIW, I asked again two weeks ago and was told I'm close (order number is in the high sixties). Total fucking bullshit.
  5. Trust me, your Eglin AFB is a better deal. I've set parts of it on fire :-)
  6. Legion USA for Izzy mags, when available. KVAR for Izzy mags but they are more expensive. Molot USA for Molot Vepr 12 mags. Whenever possible, I give as much of my paycheck as I can afford to Greg at Crolina Shooters Supply;-) He carries SGM Tactical's products and gives breaks to forum members ("CSS" is the code).
  7. You're gonna get both yes and no answers depending on who you ask. I will say yes, the SGM Vepr 12 mags will work. Others will say no. Others will say buy the SGM 030 mags (no longer made). Some will say to steer clear of SGM altogether. SGM will not say that they work in the Izzy guns as they did not test them in the Izzy guns, only in the Vepr. The Russians will attest that both manufacturers designed the guns to work with either factory's magazine. So, it stands to reason that the SGM mags will work in both platforms, right? SGM has stated here that they first designed their 030
  8. Legion USA has been a vendor here for over a year.
  9. Here's my guess, there is absolutely no difference in the LRBHO between the 433 and 433A. I'm betting the only reason that the 433A is listed as not working with the SGMT mags is that to insert a 10 or 12 rd mag in a 433 would be illegal due to 922r. But, along these lines, why isn't the 412A listed?
  10. Here we go again... Izhmash magwell mags will work. Molot Vepr 12 mags will work but you MAY have to fit them to the gun. Simply file the rear lug a slight bit. SGM Tactical Vepr 12 mags work fine in mine but others have had issues. The Vepr 12 has a slightly shorter mag latch. So, you might have to fit the Vepr mags. Mine work the IZ-433 LRBHO without issue. On the drums, the Promag and MDA won't work with a magwell. The Powermag650 will work but they are expensive.
  11. The shortened handguard and sight rib are cool looking.
  12. "Bare arms" = uncovered, naked, or exposed Bear arms = to carry, endure, or maintain Oh, and fuck that douche.
  13. Interesting. Guess I got lucky. I didn't have to trim the tab so it would clear the last round bolt hold open lever. Just had to cut out that notch below the lug. FWIW, I didn't have to trim any tab or cut out the notch below the lug.WOW! And that's with a factory mag? You REALLY got lucky! To clarify, I have no idea what tab kitchengunsmith433 is talking about. I never had any issue with the LRBHO on any mag (Vepr, Saiga, SGMT V12) in any gun (V12, IZ412, IZ433). Nor did I need to notch the Izzy mags for the mag latch (although I don't think that's a bad idea). However, by switching al
  14. I could work for Will. However, I couldn't show up to work and continually see the same gun(s) come back time after time for repairs on the shoty work coming out our doors from the get go. Yes, I speak from personal experience. :-(
  15. If you want a 5.45, KVAR just emailed this preorder info today... http://www.k-var.com/shop/SGL31-Series-5.45x39-Caliber-Russian-Stamped-Receiver-AK-74-Variant-Rifles/
  16. I like Sigs but am leery of IO (no personal experience though). That said, if I wanted another 7.62x39 I would buy a SLR-107 series or SGL-21 series rifle. What do you want this gun to do? Are you set on a 7.62x39?
  17. Why limit yourself? I'm all for buying US when you can. But, in this case I'd make an exception.

  19. Sounds like an Auto Plug would suit you better and keep the internals cleaner. There is no plug on a Vepr.
