  1. I still have the Kiss albums that I bought when they came out!! A few other cool old original records, like Jimi Hendirx experience and Led Zeppelin and the like from the late 60s and early 70s......but I'm old like that.........well, middle aged I guess.
  2. Fair enough. My "personal experience" has never included any issues with any of my revolvers. I have shot many thousands of rounds in my .44 mags and my .38s and every pull of the trigger resulted in a shot fired. However, "In my experience" every semi-auto pistol that I have owned has jammed, or stove-piped at one or more points in time. I own both types, but I am NO expert....Just going on what I have experienced.....I still stand by a revolver over a Semi-auto. Only issue ever was a round that wouldn't fire, but I just squeezed the trigger and the gun fired the next round. Really and hon
  3. I'd fall over if I went to Wally-world and there wasn't one single MORON in the store!!!! Though it could be argued, that, if I were in the store, there would be at least 1.
  4. Seems like they are Really "on top of it" here. This is only How many years after the Sarin -gas incident in Japan????
  5. I'm not trying to disrespect any other opinions here, Don't mean nothin, just saying.........have any of the forementioned semi autos EVER jammed??? Even just once??? well what if that one time was the one time you needed to save yer skin??? Revolvers NEVER jam......
  6. With the limitations of shooting distance, i really don't see any benefit of doing this whatsoever. Just because you CAN (note the proper application of using All Caps) do something does not mean that you SHOULD do something. Tell me what this will do any better than the x54 or better than say, oh jeppers I dunno....maybe shooting SLUGS out of an S-12????? Hello??? I get 6" groups @ 100yds with the VERY CHEAP 1oz slugs..........
  7. I carry a S&W .38. I have a great holster for it, it weighs practically nothing and feels so comfortable that I can almost forget that I am wearing it. Most importantly, I also shoot it often, at least 2x per week, and an profficiant with this pistol. Tony had great points, I would only add that the pistol you carry should also be the one you shoot best with. I would just reccomend a .357 in the same size. edit: I am a firm believer in the simplicity and functionality of a revolver for a carry piece.
  8. We still own and use a Sega game system. It's a nice change of pace from todays fast paced games. Answering questions on the Sega Jeopardy game is a slow process.....
  9. Well, being that they were actively looking for the bomber, I wouldn't say it was practice, I'd say that this is what they have been practicing for.
  10. Gotta be very careful with the online stuff. I personally have contacted 2 ads that were technically illegal. First was a fella selling an unconverted Saiga 7.62x39 with 2 30 round mags, and posted a photo of the rifle w/the 30 rounder in it. I notified him about the whole 922r thing, and how he posted a pic of a totally illegal set up. He had no idea of 922r, and promptly removed his pic, and offered the mags seperately. Second was a woman stating that she bought her child a savage .22 but he can't shoot due to ammo shortage, and would anyone like to sell him some ammo? I again informed her
  11. Personally I cannot even comprehend how this can happen......I was under the impression that "Bombing" was against the law. We need signs declaring "Bomb-free zones". Problem solved.
  12. Mmmmm.....beer.....I must warn you that in a city/town of 60,000 with 6 breweries....I have the luxury of having become a "Beer-snob".
  13. I can't believe that on this forum it took 9 posts to hit the mark.............I think I am dissapointed.
  14. All this talk about ammo prices and profiting has had an abnormal kindness enducing effect on me and I blame you folks!!! I am not anti capitalism or anti profit at all, but I decided to sell 1500 rounds of my .22 ammo in 150 round lots, locally, so folks can at least go and have some fun.........and I sold it for the same sticker price I paid for it 3 years ago. You all have cost me a lot of cash you Bastards!!! Making me want to share and junk...like I need some sort of "A Christmas Carol" type shit! Anyway, just so you know that all hope in humanity is not lost, That was my good deed for
  15. I was on my high schools shooting team in the mid 80s.....we shot .22s and with a top score of 100, my rating of 89 my first year, put at the rock bottom, dead last on the team.....but I got better. Turns out I joined a team that had won over 400 strait matches..........none thanks to me........It's important to learn how to do your best and still be the worst on the team.......and still persist to better yourself. I also got my ass kicked in Dodgeball, yet still had fun. Sad how we have seemed to try and coat the world with Nerf material.... edit: as per OP, I am white and I use gun
  16. I hear that the name "Mitch" is really catching on in the middle East!!!
  17. Of course, x54r ammo is super super cheap, and 45-70 is super super expensive, so that sounds awesome right off the bat!!! Sure...spend $1.50 every time I pull the trigger...why the fuck not????
  18. I am sooo glad I was prepared for a shortage.....I cannot count how many folks who were the very people saying "What do you need 10,000 rounds of that ammo for? What are you so worried about?" who now call me and ask if "I can spare any ammo?".....I simply remind them of their previous comments, and offer to sell some at fair market value, Which by the way, is what folks will pay for it NOW.....somehow now I am a jerk??? Well I am a jerk with a shit-ton of ammo. Fuck 'em......I didn't buy it to sell for profit OR to help out their "shortsighted unplanning asses!" I am too happy to keep it all!
  19. When folks don't want me to copy their ID I am usually fine with it. The fine local goverment representatives that inspect us, have us make the copy as it is the only way for us to prove to them that we checked it. I don't like it, but I even have to keep these records for 3 years.....seems a bit overkill to me for just a tattoo. With minors, now the law says the parent must be present for the entire procedure, and if you are insured, many policies won't even allow you to tattoo anyone under 18 period.
  20. Seems like a product of good ol' American Lawsuits!! The state requires me to get a photocopyof the ID from Everyone who wants a tattoo, and have it w/the paperwork they must fill out......Thousands of wasted copies and time just so we can be prepared when/if someone tells their Dad that "I fell asleep and he tattooed stars on my face!".....nope, got it here in writing baby....
  21. Naw, only a bit bigger than the Uzi, which fits well under a suit jacket.
  22. My finger is the safety on my .38!!......but it seems I am the lone revolver guy here.
  23. I chose a S&W .38 special. I would recommend a .357 snubby, I shoot this pistol because it was my Grandfathers gun, and hence, it's just what I had as far as a small frame revolver. Nothing can ever possibly Jam with it, and it is so light on the belt that I can forget I am even wearing it! Most importantly, I am rather profficient with this pistol! Pop cans out to 15yards are easy-peasy, and a 12" gong @ the range @ 50yds usually ends up in 4 out of 5 hits.....Granted, I am no Bob Mundon, but I can shoot my snub nose good enough for self defence, for sure. Nothing more reliable.
