  1. I'll take the BSA RD30. And I'll pay it forward with 'at least' one C-Products AR15 30rnd magazine... And we'll see what ends up in there for a Secret.
  2. Yep, forgot the gas plug Replacing the gas puck is probably the cheapest/easiest way to attain compliance when using US mags. EDIT: I've tried both and so far prefer the KA. King Armory, http://forum.saiga-12.com/index.php?showtopic=38860 Chaos, http://store.carolinashooterssupply.com/se...20-CHAOS/Detail So I already have 3 us parts from the mag? If I buy the gas puck which counts as 1 I'll be at 10 which equals compliant. correct? Technically correct.Tho some folks caution against using mag parts for compliance, even tho they are listed... The BATF can be a most inconsisten
  3. who cares what he/she was... Thank you!
  4. tag... WTF is with gravedigging dead threads and replying with... tag?

    Please, stop.

  6. BEFORE you convert. 1) Check ports, there and clear, at least three open ports is generally recommended. Remove the gas plug, just inside on the floor of the gas block is a opening to the top of the barrel, this where your ports are. Use a dental pick, bent paper clip or etc, to check the number and whether they are unobstructed. When doing this you can look down the barrel and witness the pick passing all the way thru. 2) Before any conversion, clean it, lube it and then shoot the shit out of it with full power 00/slug loads, 200-500 rnds, this is the break in period. This smooths
  7. Thanks. What would you recommend me do to be compliant?? I'm on a budget. Buttstock, $32.95, http://store.carolinashooterssupply.com/se...LACEMENT/Detail Pistol Grip, $18.95, http://store.carolinashooterssupply.com/se...IGA-AK47/Detail Tromix DIY trigger guard/pistol grip mount, $45.00, http://store.carolinashooterssupply.com/se...er-Guard/Detail Tromix/Tapco G2 FCG, $49.00, http://store.carolinashooterssupply.com/se...ER-TAPCO/Detail 1/2hr or less, your converted/compliant and have a MUCH better weapon.
  8. Insert the 12 and you are non-compliant. Change out one more part and your compliant, buttstock, forearm, FCG. I would recommend converting, it improves the balance/handling of the weapon, vastly improves the FCG & practically ensures compliance as long as you use US parts. Conversion is very easy, buttstock, pistol grip and FCG... Done. Those items, plus using US mags, takes off 7 parts.
  9. "tag"... On a four yr'ol thread? GTFO!
  10. Hey sly does that stock go on without converting? and if so how easy is it to install? Unscrew original's screws, take it off, put after market on, tighten screws... Pretty easy, my 10yr'ol could do it. Slyguy, where do you find those 12rnd clips, they might make loading my 12rnd magazine easier
  11. Why do you resurrect this three month dead thread, and then just say, "tag"?
  12. Dang, check those prices at any of our vendors. I realize that a retail shop has alot of overhead, but, c'mon.
  13. Hell, I'm already surprised they haven't rewritten the law to have the cost of the Tax Stamp automatically adjust to inflation. What is that original $200.00 worth today? Lets see, run it thru a inflation calculator... And...
  14. This would be the fugly piece you are speaking of....we are very familiar with it here. CMIIW, but weren't owners of such as the Striker/StreetSweeper & Daewoo, not only grandfathered, but allowed to Register their DDs, without paying the $200.00 Bribe tax stamp? We can demand and hope for the same if such is instituted again. Meanwhile, I agree, speak up, speak loudly and speak often!
  15. Chaos Quick Cleanout (CQC) doesn't serve to enhance reliability/performance. Go with the Gunfixer gas plug, it definitely serves to enhance reliability/performance via control of gas pressure. Less gas means lower recoil, means less wear & tear, all the while allowing reliable operation. The 25% reduced recoil spring and hammer mainspring, serve to lessen the amount of force it takes to cycle the action/reset the trigger/hammer. That is to say, the bolt carrier meets less resistance on its way back. You can more reliably shoot low recoil ammo and target loads. 1) Check ports, th
  16. His DOB/DOD is incorrect in your quoted piece. IIRC, he is righteously memorialized in the movie 'We Were Soldiers'.
  17. Send it back for a exchange, you can't do the conversion with it.Yes, replacing FCGs is very easy. But if your not going to convert, then just leave the FCG as is, not worth messing with otherwise.
  18. Read the second/third stickied Important Topics in this forum. People tend to make understanding 922r and doing the conversion out to be a lot harder than they actually are.
  19. If you want to do a proper conversion, i.e. move the FCG forward to its originally designed location and add a pistol grip, then at a minimum you'll need a buttstock, pistol grip and FCG. The following accessories are what I used. http://store.carolinashooterssupply.com/se...BLE-AK47/Detail http://store.carolinashooterssupply.com/se...ER-TAPCO/Detail http://store.carolinashooterssupply.com/se...IGA-AK47/Detail Using a Tromix DIY trigger guard, makes redoing the trigger guard and mounting the pistol grip a very easy procedure. http://store.carolinashooterssupply.com/se...er-Guard
  20. Mississippi Surefire, never heard of those? I have SureFire's mags in 2, 8, 10 & 12, they have all fit very well & functioned 100% out of the package. I've used various 2 3/4" loads in them with ZERO malfunctions/breakage. I have not used the SureFire12 rnd (nor any other sizes) with 3" magnum loads. I've heard a few reports that the weight of a fully/heavily loaded 12rnd, combined with strong recoil can lead to problems with them breaking feed lips/locking lugs.
