  1. That is a smokin' hot deal! I didn't see it even listed on their site though...... IS it listed on their site someplace, or is that a B&M only deal? Buckster, as 22 Shooter (err... Boobies) said thanks for the update, and good to hear that you are happy with it now.
  2. >>There are two problems with this one. Bummer, I hate when that happens. It's supposed to be a fun time when the brown truck brings new toys! >>I'll consider the custom job from max100, but at this point it would be $65 to net me +1 on a $200 gun. That's kind of where I'm at on it too. The idea was to have a super cheap solid pump gun. I may drill out the dimples and leave it at that too. Has anybody had a chance to range test after drilling the dimples.... does the cap spin loose?
  3. Which Twister puck? Try the stock puck.
  4. >>11 1/2" barrel Is that correct for the barrel length? I'm guessing the gas ports need to be opened up for the SBS barrel.
  5. Yeah, little cars are fun. Just like having a street legal go-kart. I had an '88 Yugo that I bought new. I drove it 120 miles a day back & forth to work to keep the miles off of my new Mustang. It made it through snow, floods, everything. It was almost like having a little Jeep. I agree that it's a simple formula that has worked well for decades, small car with a small engine gets great mileage. Now they build cars that have an engine AND motors, banks of batteries, and gonzo computer controls all to get LESS mileage?! Plus these "hybrids" have stupid high price tags...... I
  6. >>I may go with a scattergun technologies mag extension...... You might want to consider this: http://www.thehighroad.org/showthread.php?t=363639 I want to make sure there is a way to keep the mag tube cap (or extension) from working loose before I drill the dimples. If you look at the reviews for the Scattergun Tech extension tube on Midway, the one guy says it fits tight and doesn't loosen on his 870. So for one guy it keeps getting loose and another guy says it's no problem. I don't think I'd go with this one because of the 2 rounder being too long (as you said).
  7. Does it have single player? I go for single player shooters mostly.
  8. How does this person attain the rank of Major? CNN just reported he was Jordanian. WTF are foreigners (not to mention foreigners from unfriendly areas of the world) doing in our military anyway?!
  9. They both look great PA! You are making me want one of the SGL's too. EDIT: >>I recently installed a Chaos tri-rail handguard So you pulled off the Kross tri-rail?
  10. In the Computer/Network/IT world, it's standard to charge at least 1 hour labor. Sometimes it's only a 5 minute fix, but we still charge for the full hour for on site visits. In those 5 minute fix cases, I try to fill out the hour with checking other stuff. It's very rare that we will "eat" any time. It happens sometimes, but it's rare. I will answer quick simple e-mails and phone calls for free (usually). But if I have to remote into the user's PC or even walk them through doing something technical, they get billed .25 hour minimum. Tom & Tony, you guys may want to charge a
  11. Sort of like meeting your new girlfriend's much hotter friend? Yeah, sucks dude.
  12. I saw those listed on some ammo site, can't remember where. They do look nasty! So that's what..... $2.88 a round? Cheaper than most of the 12G "exotic" ammo I guess.
  13. I saw where they had many complaints for not paying fair market value. They responded by bumping up the rate a little, but it's still too low from what I've heard. Try some jewelry stores, pawn shops, etc. and you'll probably get at least as much or more. I'd try to get at least 3 offers before deciding to sell it.
  14. You might want to create a new thread in the WTS section. All I see is the old one several pages down that says the mags are no longer available. I'd take 'em myself if I had the $$.
  15. Without seeing it, how could we possibly answer... The question was directed at those who had seen it..... like the OP. Thanks for the working link yakdung.
  16. UPS and other carriers have hubs in Atlanta. They often hire additional seasonal help.
  17. It requires a login to read it...? Yep. Is this a short enough article to copy/paste?
  18. That's called "riding the bolt", and it's totally normal. There isn't enough momentum to close the bolt if you do that. When you rack the bolt, just let it fly.
  19. Yes it means Fail to feed and Fail to eject and No i havent done anything to the puck.No modifications what so ever...Here is a pic that i took of the side of the gun..Is it suppose to have a gas port here? So it's both failing to feed and also failing to eject?
  20. >>The other day i went out to shoot the rest of the remington bulk pack and they all refused to cycle properly.. What does this mean? (fail to feed, fail to eject, etc.) Did you do anything to the puck?
  21. I imagine the thinner receivers are cheaper, but they are also easier to bend and work with. There is a cost savings in the manufacturing process as well as the materials. When it comes down to it, you are right.... the thinner receiver makes for a perfectly serviceable rifle. With all of our back & forth on this, I doubt I will ever be in a situation where I'm wishing my rifle was a pound lighter. And I doubt you will ever be in a situation where you're wishing your rifle was just a hair more accurate. My Dad was a mechanical engineer, so when I'm given the choice, I will always t
  22. Cutting oil makes a huge difference, as does properly backing up the tap to clean out the chips. Tapping holes is an art that you learn after doing it many times. You are bound to blow it on the first few tries. When I used to work in a machine shop, I'd tap hundreds of holes with the same tap. And I was no machinist, just an electrician wiring up industrial machines and tapping lots of holes for cable clamps. I was usually tapping some pretty soft cast parts though. Sometimes when I did break an old tap, I usually had the luxury of just leaving the broken tap, and starting a new ho
  23. Won't you get more lead fouling from the soft points anyway?
