I'll look up the Bushnell Klassy, thanks. Yes the search engine is pretty much unusable but I have already read all of the repetitive threads regarding red dots. Most of those postings have been requests for general suggestions. I think I should've specified that I was looking for feedback concerning those 3 particular models since I read that random people here and there own or have used them.

No need to be hostile. You stated "between those crappy choices". I was referring to that statement for you gave no reasoning of why my 2 choices are crappy even though they are both around the same price range. Thus, if my choices were crappy, what exactly is a decent choice in your book? I bet those are more expensive and out of my price range. Also, Eastwave is out of the PK-ASs...I already emailed them. My hostility knows no bounds! I am literally angry with rage! Look G-Money, everyone has been in your shoes, first we all started out with some half assed optic, and eventua

Between both of those crappy choices I would go with the PK-A. However if your going low end why not spend less on the Primary Arms Micro-Dot and ultimak rail combination for $153? Sorry there, we can't all afford EoTechs and Aimpoints.

I'm torn between getting a PK-A or a BP-02 + Vortex Strikefire. Both would be around $200 shipped. The PK-A is more genuine in terms of optics but the Vortex has a lifetime warranty and is probably the more advanced. There is also the PK-23 but barely anyone has stuff written about it.

Hello, I'm interested in the EKP-1S-03 model which takes regular AA batteries. This needs to be real, not a knockoff airsoft one. If you got it from Tantal back in the day, that would be preferred. Thanks

I got everything I needed from CSS for under $100. Very fast shipping.

I'm not sure what it's made of but carbon fiber would be less abrasive than using the stock rod, kit, and guide.
-
From here it looks like the diameter is: 22 to 26 Caliber = .208" so that should fit ok.
-
So I should've known that my .30 cal sized rod for my SKS would not fit in the barrel of the 5.45x39. So am I guessing that I should look for a .22 cal one?

Same thing happened to me when I purchased through AIM. I got mine open by using two hammers (one hammer utilizing the "hook" ends.)

From what I'm reading online I think I'll be trying the blue loctite as you suggested.

So I purchased this Saiga with the muzzle brake threads already made. 14x1 LH. Unfortunately when it is fully screwed in my AK-74 style brake is upside down. I have to turn it back half-a-rotation before it is the way it is supposed to be. Is there a way for this to be corrected like screwing in a very thin washer of some sort? Also while shooting even though I screwed it in as tight as I could, the recoil kept on knocking it loose. Is this something blue loctite can remedy?

I've only seen a few posts on top tier and certain models but which is your go-to quick release side mount? Kvars are not in stock and a tad more expensive, bp-02s are a good standard for $50 but some are centered while others are not. Dhparms has one that looks ok and is cheaper but I have not seen any reviews. Which mount would you recommend for a red dot at 100 yards max?

Nice groups there.

Where did you get 'em from, AIM, TGI?
-
I went through the same predicament a few weeks ago. The truck gun doesn't have a side rail so I knocked that out of the runnings. The Rough Rider from lancaster looked pretty good, but I've read some interestingly negative stuff about their customer service. CAIs are all sub-par in one way or another. I ended up getting a Saiga with the muzzle brake and bullet guide already installed from Cadiz for 495. Then I bought $100 worth of conversion parts. When the comparison comes between a $500 lancaster and a $600 converted Saiga, it's hard to not go for the Saiga.

Remember to get the final prices including shipping when doing vendor comparisons. They can make a big difference depending on where you live.
-
Yeah I've bought from both Classic and AIM and I like my experiences with both of 'em. Right now classic only has the Sniper 91/30.
-
So I got my eye on a Mosin Nagant 91/30 or M38 or M91/59. Since AIM is out at the moment the only choices I can find are: 91/30 1) J&G for $79.99 2) SOG $69.95 M38 or M91/59 1) Allan's $140-150 2) GunNAmmo $160 I'd rather have the carbine but I don't really want to spend the extra money since all that can go to more ammo. Can anyone comment on any experiences from these vendors both quality and shipping speed? Goal = Cheaper, fun shooting max 100 yards with a round with more balls. I love my Saiga but you can go through 30 rounds pretty quick and all that adds up.

Have you don't anything to the rifle in terms of a conversion or is this stock, fresh out of the box?

I store my ammo in an old 50Cal ammo box in the garage.
