i completely understand how black they can become, everytime we get together up here everybody wants to shoot (or at least see me shoot ) my "russian cannon" which is really a 45 tula m44. i've had plently of people ask me all sorts of questions about it so i just started carrying cards for the gun shop where i bought it. needless to say the owner was rather happy with that

so far i would say at least 200 shells (light target loads) no hang ups that we can blame on the gun only the new people i take to the range with me who sometimes are afraid to rock that mag back

maybe i could be mistaken but if i remember didn't the MAG-7 only have a 2 1/2" chamber? i remember looking at one awhile back but the fact that i had to buy special ammo just go to out plinking with it kinda turned me away at the time

Around here the Dunhams is trying to peddle SAS shotguns that "are just as good as remingtons" to the unsuspecting population of guys who happen to know people with "some semi auto shotgun that starts with an S" my buddy was cash in hand at the counter when he called me because he was so happy that he found an SAS just like mine, needless to say i set him straight that mine's a russian import and not some chinese fall apart.

my 590 is supposedly "the mp" version...but anyways its missing the heatshield but instead has the ghost ring site on it...man i thought i loved shotguns before i used that site but now oh its just bad mossberg does sell a kit to put the ghost rings on it, and i think cheaper than dirt has it also but they never seem to have it in stock. personally i would keep the 590 but then again i'm a mossberg guy so to hear that your going with the 870 breaks my heart a little, but to each his own and i do understand where your coming from with the one barrel problem.

BattleRifleG3 how do you like your 590? if i had a pic of mine i would be posting it to give the guys some more gun porn to look at. I love the bayo mount on mine also..and everytime it gets to go out to the range the bayonet is proudly on the front end unsheathed ready to take care of that last bit of target that the 9 shells in the gun or the 4 in the stock couldn't take care of what type of site is on yours? it looks like it might just be a single bead.. either way she's a beauty

i know mossberg makes the bayo mount on the 590 to fit the m16 bayo..i'm not sure if they would sell that part seperately or not though.

wouldn't mind one myself...but i just don't know where to find em if ya happen to find a couple i'd apperciate a chance at one since we need to take care of those killer squirrels up here

your correct it is in the 7.62x54r, and its alright the flash isn't quite as big as it seems to be on the site. Personally i liked the "starburst" stuff better it seemed to have umm..more potential to catch things on fire. both of the rounds explode though. i bought the rufus first and it was good i just cracked up when i bought it because than 60 mins ran that show about the .50 cal and they mentioned how illegeal the rufus was....yet i owned some? anyways both are fun, but the starburst seems to be more fun either way shooting it out of the 7.62x54r makes a flame on both ends out of
