  1. I don't know anything about them but I am interested. What's the price like? Which version did you get?
  2. That's funny. The more I think about it, the more I just want to switch out the stock. Still brain storming.
  3. I think you got something there. Screwing it on just might work.
  4. All good ideas, but I'm thinking more along the lines of a Bomb Proof mod. Well, maybe not bomb proof but something pretty sturdy.
  5. I am not recoil sensitive but I have an S-12 with a K-var warsaw length stock on it and the shouldered part of the stock is not wide enough for me. I put a UTG slip on pad and it solves the problem but it is constantly falling off. Any creative ideas on how to fix it? I like the stock and can't replace it right now with something else. I'm open to ideas but would not like to cut on the stock too much if at all. Thanks, Red
  6. I don't know much about this op rod. Does it have a great advantage over the factory op? I would also be interested to hear how it continues to run. How many ports does your gun have? Glad to hear the extra weight is not effecting the operation of your S-12. Its looks cool. Red
  7. My S-12 came alive today. It may have all the bugs worked out.

  8. Crap!! I can't believe I missed out on this.
  9. Good to know about the Arsenal hammer. I'll avoid it. Thanks for all the input. I am going to continue to "hammer"this out, and get the S12 running.
  10. It doesn't have to be perfect. Give it a test at the range. In extreme cases, you'll get light strikes or no ignition of the primer at all. That would mean the hammer is hitting the back of the bolt and not the firing pin. The hammer would have to be pretty bad for that to happen though. Ask Pauly & Cobra about the Arsenal FCG. Seems to me I heard those can be difficult to get setup. Thanks for the reply. I'll try it out and see if it cooks.
  11. Should I try to flatten the hammer more?
  12. Looking at my g2 trigger and it doesn't rest flat against the firing pin. I already dehorned it and am wondering do I need to take more material off. I've heard conflicting reports. Any help or specs would be a great. If the g2 doesn't work out, I'm going to buy Arsenal fcg. Don't want to spend the money if I don't have to. I need to rely on the S 12 everyday. I live real close to the Mexican border and things get crazy down here. Thanks, RF
  13. Been there and it sucks. Good luck and I hope everything pans out for ya.
  14. +1 If you don't follow this step threading the bolt on during install is gonna suck.
  15. I would have scratched her eyes out......I'm just kidding. A few weeks ago I was getting ready to fish a tournament and there was a pink kayak that was being raffled off for breast cancer awareness. My brother was like, you wouldn't be seen in that would you? I said hell yes. I don't give a crap what others think. A real man eats what he wants, wears what he wants, and craps where he wants. I only care about what my wife and kids think. All other can piss off if they got a problem. To each his own. Now on another note I don't like pink for other reasons. It hurts my eyes. My 2 year old lov
  16. Indy I agree 100%. It's hard to justify the cost and it took me a long time to finally try one out. I didn't think it would make that big of a difference, but let me tell you it's hard to fish anything else. I have quit buying the G. Loomis rods and buy nothing but the Temple Fork Outfitter rods. Gary Loomis sold G. Loomis a while ago, but he designed all of TFO spinning and casting rods, using his blanks. Best thing is...they are only $99.95 at Bass Pro. They aren't as pretty as his other rods, but they ain't ugly either. They are awesome rods and I highly recommend them. They have a fr
  17. I eat and breath fishing. I fish everyday before work at my local river. I mostly do inshore fishing on our Texas coast though. I love fishing for trout and redfish, hence my name. I fish from a kayak and fish every tournament I can. I had to take 3 years off from it but this year I am going strong. I love Penn and Quantum reels. I wont own anything else. I love G.Loomis, and TFO Rods. Fishing is more than just a hobbie for me. Its a way of life for me. It's who I am. Good to see others here who love it also. Oh and thank God for the good woman in my life that never complains about
  18. That's a nice snook. I wish we saw more of them on our coast line here in Texas.
  19. You know what sucks. Last time the whole ATF thing started, and everyone started panic buying I just sat back and watched. During that time I was in need of some mags and every time I tried to get on one; the vendors were sold out. This time, this little fools day trick sent me straight to CSS's web site to purchase more mags. Damn you........ Ah, well I guess I should thank you. Needed them anyway, and was just to lazy to order.
  20. Do you mind if I ask you how much it cost to build? Would you build another?
  21. Words can not describe how awesome your rifle is. That is exactly what my brother and I have been dreaming to build. I bet that thing shoots as great as she looks. Nice work.
