  1. Nice rifle Chile. I'm a fan of the OG's and retros. Really liking everything about the new retros from Brownells, except the price tags. Did they (Colt) make pre ban A2's without a bayonet lug?
  2. I guess I don't understand. OP hasn't been on since 2014.

  4. Since DLT is in a musical kind of mood. Another one bites the dust..... https://www.instagram.com/p/Bd5sW0vA-Sl/?taken-by=militaryarms
  5. That's nice and simple. I like it, no crap hanging all over it. Looks like an 030/433 chopped to about 12" with an AK100 on it. That would be fairly easy to clone if you could find a decent 030 or 433 to start with. I don't know gun laws in Thailand but that might be a factory SBS. I know they offered different barrel lengths from the factory that were destined to other places than the US. this thread is worthless without pics!! Same picture as in my gallery... I've never seen it before. Different for sure. Looks good. When did slant back S12's make it here? I don't recall
  6. I would be inclined to agree with you, if it weren't for this one....
  7. Right now, -4* (low of -9) and 13mph winds. Not much going on outside. I can just hear the Propane being sucked out of the tank.
  8. You did watch the video with the C39V2A failing right? It's built by the same garbage company, in the same garbage manner, with the same garbage parts. But hey, keep an eye on it. It might not self destruct. You got a "good deal".
  9. http://www.akfiles.com/forums/showthread.php?t=330317 Some serious garbage.
  10. All that means is there's no mileage under it. Unless you bought it new, you don't know if it had 5rds put through it showing no wear or 5000rds put through it showing no wear. Pawn shop find and the average Fudd gun owner more than likely never shot it. Someones wife probably made them get rid of it. Not sure i'd have taken a chance on it, knowing the track records of the model, not to mention the track records of anything CAI builds. WASR's can be had for about $530 these days. Just saying.
  11. What are you wanting to do? Simple things like a nice Cerakote finish can be done to your hearts desire and more expensive like sending it to Salient Arms for a complete custom make over that will really lighten your wallet.
  12. Enjoy the fact that it works and is an excellent carry piece. It's like mans best friend, always at your side.
  13. I keep it holstered then I barely ever look at it and no one else ever sees it. It becomes money well spent that way. Moral of the story, leave it alone.
  14. Is the trigger guard riveted or screwed in place? TGI finished the importation and distribution of a batch of Saigas. Not sure what the exact circumstances were that lead to it but somehow they took over for RAA. Lots of rifles ended up the same way, with the knurled "match striker" over RAA's info.
