Best home defense safe

I have a Gun Vault Speedvault and I really like it. You install it vertically against a wall or desk and when unlocked it drops the gun holder down for quick access to your gun. Info at gunvault.com. Doug -
Nice job, I really like the hand guard! Doug

Robert threads his barrels for Remington chokes.

Did you zero with slugs first? I zero with my preferred slug load and then check all the chokes at 15 and 25 yards to see what the pattern does. Doug

Anybody know when it takes effect? Doug -
Reloads -Yes Bird shot - 85 to 95%, remainder mostly Slugs. Occasional matches will have Buck on a stage, but not often. Some matches allow you to use Buck on steel, see the match rules before you do this. Most big matches are lost brass, ROs keep the brass. Big matches will have Stage ROs, local matches vary. There are no "Butts" in 3 gun because they don't use long range paper and call hits on steel. Steel is almost always reactive or self setting, no walking down range to reset. Speed of the action depends on how fast you can shoot and run. Time for a single shooter including reset

The Fed is not sitting on 4.5 trillion in fake money, they already payed the 4.5 billion out. They now hold 4.5 trillion in debit instruments, like bonds, that they purchased with the fake money. The damage has already been done. I think their idea is to sell the debit later when things get better. They have been propping up the economy for years with this ruse, and things are getting better for the rich folks but the little people will continue to get screwed. Since rich people and corporations run the government I doubt anything will ever change. Doug Quantitative Easing: http:/

Yes you can use NFA items in most any 3 gun match but it must comply with the rules and none that I know of, except perhaps Ironman, will allow them to be used on Full Auto, has to be used Semi-Auto. I do know that Robert Wright from R&R uses one of his short barreled Saigas for 3 gun and shotgun matches. He's running a 14" barrel on the Saiga. I have run my suppressed AR at a few local 3 gun matches, but the gun is set up for short range and I use my 20" JP at the big matches and it is heavy enough without a suppressor. Doug

They are common and well respected in USPSA pistol matches. 3 bills is pretty cheap, hope it's not stolen. Doug -

I use MSA Supremes, they have a low profile and don't bother me when shooting long guns. I also double plug when in a closed environment, when ROing or when shooting loud rifles. I've had professionally made fitted plugs but they cost about $50 or $60 bucks and my daughter's dog thinks they taste great. Now I mold my own with a kit that cost less than $10. Design is pretty much finished, Robert is working on getting 3D models made to check fit and function. Looking to have a working gun by spring. I hope to have one of the first ones! Doug

I got this for helping out a shooter from the Czech Republic at the Rocky Mountain 3 Gun World Shoot last week. It is a Maxrounds PowerMag 650, 20 round drum that is made from aluminum and comes with belt clip and an extra coil spring. No carry case, packaging or literature is included, only what you see in the picture (minus ammo) I have no use for it because it will not fit my R&R Saigas. It is lightly used and I was told it will fit Saiga shotguns with the original mag latch system. Looks like the tower is long enough to fit Rock and Lock and Russian style magwells. Feel free to PM

You can go to the website, randrtargets.com or you can call him at 503-551-7283. Doug

Not sure at this time. He's busy now finishing a US made Saiga prototype. Doug

Robert says that the carriers are being manufactured now but there is a list already going for those so contact him if you want to be on the list. Bolts will be starting after the carriers get done. Probably a good idea to call and get on the list for those too! Doug

Rocky Mountain World 3 Gun Match
Doug Hartley replied to Doug Hartley's topic in The Competitor's Corner / TEAM SAIGA
Looks like Vaclav took 4th in Open, he was unprepared for the long range stages that went out to almost 600 yards. Still a good showing for a guy that had never shot a US style multi-gun match. Hope he comes back in 2015 because now he knows what to expect. Doug -
Rocky Mountain World 3 Gun Match
Doug Hartley replied to Doug Hartley's topic in The Competitor's Corner / TEAM SAIGA
Vaclav Vinduska of the Czech Repoblic is running my R&R Saiga because they wouldn't let his in the country. So far he has several stage wins and is on Jerry Miculek's tail in the hunt for first place in Open. It's sad that my shotgun is shooting better than me! Tomorrow the match finishes and I'll post who wins. Doug -
Rocky Mountain World 3 Gun Match

I'm out here in beautiful Raton, New Mexico at the RM3G World Shoot. I finished shooting the staff match yesterday with a very poor performance but the regular shooters arriving and it should be interesting. 15 stages of 3 gun fun in all natural terrain with rifle targets out to 600 yards. There are a lot of international shooters here including Russians so we should be seeing a bunch of Saigas. Info at rm3g.com Doug -
.22 suppressed pistols are really quiet, the loudest thing you hear is the slug hitting the dirt. .22 rifles need subsonic ammo or you still hear the supersonic crack. I shoot Mini Mags in my suppressed .22 rifle and pistol and they don't go supersonic in the pistol. For some reason it's stupid fun to shoot suppressors! Doug

I'll see Robert next week in Raton, NM for the Rocky Mountain 3Gun Match, I will check with him then. Doug
