I converted several E.german mags to 5.56 (when they were 5 bucks a pop), the big thing to make it work is to change out the follower. the 5.45 bullet profile on the follower won't work with 5.56 rounds. up to 10 rounds it's OK but anything more and you get feeding issues. so what I did was to ground off the 5.45 bullet profile and cut the "tails" off a AR 5.56 follower and epoxied that onto the 5.45 follower, you can only load 29 but it all feeds into my SAR3 with no problems. if you want one mag to work in both in 5.45 and 5.56, just buy some US made 5.45 followers (which i

Sneak peek firebird drum mag for mka 1919 and br99
Matthew Hopkins replied to james lambert's topic in MKA-1919
maybe so, but that much weight to one side would negate having one, when there is a 20 round drum that has all the weight below the SG. heavy? a bit, but you aren't also "fighting" to keep the shotgun level -

I also know and understand physics, the facts are; just like I or anybody else can't change the law of physics, changing the current state of politics by voting in one criminal over another, amounts to trying to change the law of physics -

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! georgie porgie proved that will never happen*. * for those that fail to comprehend that statement, it was sarcasm You made a post without editing it! wow, didn't know you cared -
I wholly agree with you there, we are great and prosperous. but anytime we go butting our noses in things that don't concern us there is always repercussions, and not the good kind either. you think that ISIS just randomly appeared out of nowhere? our so called "leaders" do more harm then good to this country. if you want to vent and beat somebody up why not go and get some straight answers from georgie prorgie , cheney and rummy and the current crop of criminals that took over from those criminals I mean if you swallowed that whole BS line from georgie porgie "they attacked us (9-11)

the KKK and others is riddled so full of informers/ undercover agents that the FBI would know if it happens before the rest of the membership -
wow, I didn't realized that knowing the history of this country, both the good and ugly was "disrespectful", thanks for clearing that up for me. I'll try to emulate you; ignorant and stupid just bumbling through life. naw, on second thought, you do it so well that no one could even hold a candle to you on that, so I will keep using my head for cognitive functions , rather then just a hat rack BTW, as for "disrespect for people of faith". well if it bothers you or someone else, then your or their "faith" isn't that strong to begin with, and must be one of them "sunday only christians"

sorry to bust your little half inflated balloon, but first off I don't go to church, I am not living in the dark ages believing in some myth and hokum. secondly, you really need to bone up on the history of this country, not just the good but the bad as well. you can start with the Spanish-American war, we didn't go to war "protecting people or democracies" and just trace all the stuff since then. Nicaragua, Cuba, Chile, etc....

well given the fact that for over a century we have been interfering and pushing our own agenda on those countries and instrumental in toppling other governments that we didn't particular like or doing it for what amounts to instilling a puppet regime that we can control. this basically amounts to the old idiom of "chickens come home to roost"

Cool weapon mounting system.
Matthew Hopkins replied to cvhanh20's topic in General Discussion - Any topic is welcome here!!!
like all military weapons systems, it's either has it's own battery(s) that is incorporated with the vehicle charging system. or it's directly connected to the vehicle batteries, which is 24VDC -
Mossberg 500a, get it or not?

unless you want a winter project, I would pass. but if you do decide to buy it, 75 bucks would be what I would pony up on the SG described. you can always cut the barrel down to 18 inches (cheaper then buying a barrel) then put a heat shield that has a bead sight on it, to give a different kind of look to it, rather then a Elmer Fudd gun -

New Sig Brace
Matthew Hopkins replied to XD45's topic in General Discussion - Any topic is welcome here!!!
well, here it is, complete with a big set of balls I bought a compete upper a few ago, that had the MAGPUL pop up rear sight for 450. stripped BUSHMASTER lower for 75. I already had the lower parts kit sitting around I bought ages ago. I found a NIB SIG brace with the tube at a local gunshow for 120, I jumped on that in a heartbeat as I never seen them lower then 130 excluding shipping and no tube on the net. -
this by chance wouldn't be your friend, would it? "lookie har bubba, them thar SAYGU 12s dun break in them thar 3 gun computations, now them that VEPERS they keep a goin'"

call for a Continental Congress? dude, there hasn't been a Continental Congress since 1789, when the Constitution was ratified and our current form of government was instituted. Continental Congress, I believe what you are trying to say is Constitutional Convention -
