I think he was pointing out language that makes it harder for the DOJ to screw with gun owners or people trying to obtain a firearm.

Gun scrubber Solvent ok to use on saiga 12?

Mako GL is awesome but you will need to have bolt, carrier polished as well as making sure you have it gassed right. That's because the shock absorbs energy that would be used to cycle the gun.

I just did the same thing as well. No problems.

Field report: Fist time out after converting

I was wondering the same thing myself. I'm thinking the brake has a lot to do with it. It is truly an amazing piece. -
Field report: Fist time out after converting

The drum seemed like it would have fte's within the first five rounds I would fire. I guess it would be due to greater spring tension. The gun ran ok otherwise. With stock mags, I would have an fte aprox 25% of the time when I ran wally world ammo but ran fine on high brass. -
So last fall the gun was stock. Over the winter I got bored and so I made a few mods to it based on what I read here. The first thing I did was to convert it. Boy was that a lot of fun to do. It takes the mystery out of it when you get to know it as intimately as you do while modifying it. After the convert, I removed the gas block and found that I had a three port gun. I enlarged the ports from 5/64 to 3/32". Next up was the bolt and carrier. I read the thread on profiling and polishing these parts and decided that I could do the work. I bought a polishing kit for $10 that fits on the Dr

Saiga 12 cycling issues, low brass issues, issues issues issues!&#

You shouldn't do that. You will ruin the chrome lining in it. -
WTK info on fitting the CSS Internal Receiver block
Paulie_Wallnutz replied to Chiroone's topic in Saiga-12
Why use the holes at all? These are supposed to be rock solid with just the top screw. I would use the top screw and then use the plastic caps for the screw holes on the sides. That way if you ever decide to convert back for any reason, you don't have to worry about egged out holes in the receiver. -
Awesome! Hey thanks guys. That was exactly what I was looking for.

Yeah I saw that one. I was kinda hoping for a close up.

I am looking to modify my bho so I can remove/install my safety lever with it installed. If somebody can post a good pic of one that has been notched that I can use fore a template/reference, I would appreciate it greatly.

I believe Carolina Shooter Supply sells a piece to make it compliant. It isn't a trigger guard but it is a California legal part.

I converted mine and have the original trigger guard still. If you think you can use it for a DIY, it's yours.

Saiga12 with interchangeable smooth/rifled barrels

This is just my opinion but I think Bob Ash is a dick. Every forum has someone just like him. He says rude shit quite a bit and doesn't really contribute to the thread. I say fuck him and pursue your project. Good luck -
evlblkwpnz, you have some nice videos. I think I've seen them all and just bought a 100pk of crap ammo to use when testing the reliability of the gun. Hopefully when all is said and done, it will run reliably on cheap ammo without a spring kit.

I just got done removing the gas block and found 3 ports. I opened them up to 3/32 from 5/64. I also profiled the bolt and am working on the polishing portion now. I guess if it has problems cycling after all these mods are done, I could go back in and either make the ports bigger or add a 4th port.

Thanks for the input. I ordered the Mako GL-SHOCKCP stock and a mil speck buffer tube. Now I just need to figure out which folding mechanism I want.
-
that's a new one on me. It's mentioned in their promotional videos.

So I'm stumped. I cut off the rear tang and will be ordering a receiver block as soon as CSS has them back in stock. I know that I want a folding stock. I really like the way the ACE stocks look but I'm afraid I am a bit sensitive to recoil. I originally wanted a 7.5" ACE with a 1" recoil pad and a push button locking folder but now I'm leaning towards a Mako shock absorbing stock an AR buffer tube and folding mech. I'll be running all kinds of ammo from cheap wally world stuff to mag slugs. I really only want to spend money once on the stock, so I'm hoping some of you can chime in. For ex

SSAK-47 Bump Fire Saiga 12 Shotgun Video

I don't see this being legal for long. They'll throw a term like this into law: "Any device used for the rapid fireing of a weapon"
