  2. +1 on the screen saver! Were there mags in the pictures?
  3. Cobra, Just throw that in the box with the forearm OK?! Doug
  4. Ha ha. We never grow up, our toys just cost more!
  5. Yep. This may be jumping the gun and sorry if it is, but would there be a pre order discout like the .308 mag IF this goes foreward? Doug
  6. Here is a mag I made out of two. What else you gonna do with a spare mag body. Got one more body so I need to find another mag. (thanks again Vjor). I glued them with some sort of plastic epoxy. That may have been enough but I added a strip of fiberglass about 1.5" around the seam and added bondo crack filler shit and sanded/painted. I could have sanded it a little more and still may. Pictures aren't to good. Havent shot but ran severl cycles through by hand with no problems. With left over parts, I used my wood burning tool to practice welding the plastic. My next one I'm gonna
  7. The cedar was a bitch. The main trunk I was sitting on went up about 8' then spit into 3 all going different directions. If it went one way it hit my mom's house. The other...her chicken house. And another...more trees. I had to get as high as I could and hook a cable, make a face cut, start the back cut and start cranking on the hand winch. All that on each of the 3 witht the cuts made while on a ladder (not the best senario). Got some good boards out of it though. I have an Alaskan mill for making my lumber. Indy....I got some drums, I bet Cobra can sing. I got inked for th
  8. A chainsaw forum I use to go to and a couple others have done this and it seemed to be liked. Sort of neat to put a face to the name. Sorry if it's been done before.......or stupid. This is the most recent pic I could find. No, I'm not playing with myself.
  9. I think Cobra was right on the money with his soapbox chat and agree and feel the same way on a lot of it. People need to open their minds and accept people for who they are. I have changed my way of thinking quite a bit in the last couple of years. My mother use to "preach" all the time about stuff. One day I said who is to say who is right. Kind of shut her up......for a while anyway. I had to take a religion class in college. I was impressed by the one teacher. He said simply, "believe what you believe but know why you believe it" Well to steer a little back on course.........my
  10. I have a Belarus mount from Eastwave on my .308 and .223. I used Millet angle lock rings. Lined up great on the .223 when set to the right. Had to adust a little on the .308. Both bore sighted and will be on paper for sure. Plenty of room for adjustment. I was about Maxed out with Simmons rings and din't want to crank any more. ~$20 a pair for the Millets. Doug
  11. Parts shmarts! That is awesome Dinzag! You got some skeels there bro. I didn't want to make light light of the part count thing and it was cool of O.S.O.K to point it out for you. It just makes no sense to me about where parts come from make it legal or not when it is in the same set up. Like put in a higher cap mag from us and it's legal but a lower round from Russia and your breaking the law. It's just stupid. But hey, lets back to Dinzags new blonde babe! Doug
  12. Google: onpoint firearms. First or second to come up. If you did the other conversions the .308 will be easy for you. Also check saiga central....stanleys pro shop. Doug
  13. So let me get this right..............someone is making 20 round mags for the .308?

    Gas setting

Cool. Me and my nephew put a box through it. Light bird loads, on setting 2. I wanted to double check before I shot anything heavier. It is soooo fun. He wants one now.

    Gas setting

As far as the settings go, do you use setting 2 for all 2.75 sells including slugs or would the slugs need to used on setting 1. Thanks, Doug
  16. K-var, copes others will have the p-grip nut. Instead of the plate you can use e-clips for about $0.10 each. I used 2 per pin. That plate may work good. Do you have a BHO? Use a bread twisty tie stripped of the plastic to hold the spring in place while you line up the pin. Hope I didn't confuse you. The nut hole (wait what are we talking about.......sorry) may be the slot the trigger is in now??? Someone corect me if I'm wrong on this. This the way it seemed on the S-12. Doug
