  1. I really dont understand folks thoughts on the vent hole. IMO that vent hole is only there so that any heavy crud that gets past the puck that would normally collect in front of the puck can get blown out of that hole. Lighter crud and most of the gas that gets past the plug goes down the gas tube. When I built a new gas block for my gun I ran it without a vent hole at first, guess what? It ran fine but I was getting some carbon build up at the bottom of the puck. Drilled a hole and now it doesn't do it anymore. Im almost considering drilling another one on the other side to see if I ca
  2. How are you going to keep the rims on the shells from stacking up and jamming up the works?
  3. Mine looks very similar to this one. Bending is the way to go. There is actually alot of room for it to go up under the ejector block, its recessed even farther once you get past the first pin. Mine worked as Cadiz intended with this configuration. Having said that....... Im really not happy with this design, it only goes halfway to having an LRBHO that works the way it should. This design always puts pressure on the top round in the mag and then has to push the round downwards while the bolt goes forward. Ive got some idea's that will make it work alot better but its going to take
  4. Sounds like were one step closer to a US made S12 (but better I hope) shotgun.
  5. If your disconnector is set correctly you cannot short stroke or bypass it.
  6. Yeah, my point was that to out cycle the action you only have to do that once, not sustain full auto speeds.
  7. Yeah, thats great if you only want to use modded mags. It wont work for drums though. I would rather have both, and will. I started my LRBHO tonight. Im pretty happy with the results so far. I ended up bending the "beak" area up a bit. I ended up with a "beak" that looks more like the one Cadiz posted. I still need to get a screw/button that I want to use for a side release and clearance all the springs and such. Its definitely not project you want to rush and taking a tiny bit at a time is the way to go. I will try to get some pics up when I can with my crappy camera );
  8. Actually, if your calculations are correct, you would only have to pull the trigger within 1/8 of a second after any other trigger pull. Even less if your carrier slows down for any reason.
  9. So the reason they dont is because they would have to have a few 8 rounders to begin with that they could copy? Sounds lame. If they sold factory clone 8 rounders here in the states for a reasonable price how long do you think it would take them to recoup having to buy 2 or 3 factory mags or even a dozen? IMO the factory mags are currently the best looking, best functioning mags out there. I would love to have a dozen factory clone 8 rounders.
  10. Its funny, a friend of mine and I were just talking about this in Emails earlier tonight. I told him that you can actually pull the trigger to fast on these guns and that Ive actually had that happen to me. He came back and told me that I had a runaway and should check out my gun. I had to explain to him that I didnt have a runaway and that I know what that is. I have the Tromix FCG and I dont know if all FCGs are the same but on that set up you can in fact do it. Its only happened to me twice and both times it was during a dump where all I cared about was dumping as fast as I could. Whe
  11. The cost would be almost exactly the same as a 5 rounder.
  12. It probably is thinner on that one side. S12 bores are not concentric with the outside of the barrel. Looks great, nice job.
  13. I just Emailed them on the factory clone 8 rounders.
  14. I think Ill have to get a few. Why the hell didnt they copy the 8 rounder though?
  15. If you did that wouldnt the hammer hitting the disconnector cause the trigger to slam forward into your finger? Sounds painfull. I dont know about the manufactured question though.

I would think it wouldn't cycle in the S12. Maybe if you chambered them one at a time by hand.
  17. Check out the Fenix brand lights and reviews. I have two, so far, the PD31 which I will be permanently mounting on my S12 inside the Chaos rail and I also have the TK15. Oh, I forgot I have a little AAA one from them as well that is always in my pocket. That one gets used everyday.
  18. Not completely true. My gas block was canted a HUGE amount when I got the gun. I was going to remove the pins, straighten the block and then redrill the holes. The slots in the barrel were so big I didnt need to drill anything. This later turned out to be a huge problem as those oversized sloppy grooves were allowing my gas block to leak all over the place and cause my gun to work great one day and FTE like crazy the next. It took me forever to figure it out. Oh, the gas block would also twist and move around under recoil. I ended up putting a set screw in to fix that. Later I just made a
  19. I noticed some of the events he had to pick up his gun and then insert a mag. Do the tube fed guys have to start empty as well? What an advantage the mag makes.
  20. I modified a UBR so that it can twist and then fold all the way with a drum. Its spring loaded so all you do is pull backwards when the stock is open and give it a twist. I had a CTR on it before but I had to loosen the locking nut first to be able to twist it. Heres a pic of the CTR. It looks the same with the UBR its just easier to rotate it.
  21. Mine was tight with zero wobble/movement. Well, before I cut it off and moved the gas block. Now it wobbles a bit when I open that drawer on my tool box.
  22. Edit: Dont want to add fuel to the fire. The MD arms puck design is very different than the KA puck. Pressure waves can be made to do different things by changing the geometry they interact with.
  23. That are coming out right after double stack mags right?
  24. You should not have to cut that hole for the LRBHO. It is designed to work like the factory and protrude out the bottom of the receiver. Im guessing that the picture you posted is showing what can be done if you want it on the side.
  25. Well, the slot in the trunnion would have to be removed to mill it. I dont want to remove mine so I will make the first cut with a hacksaw blade and then open it up and clean it with files. You would be surprised what you can do with hand tools and patience.
