  1. I understand "investment startegy" but it's important to also "want" something like this because it's indeed a financial risk. Could be profitable... could be lossy. If one really wants the item(s) then at least he/she can enjoy the "thing" for what it is even after taking the fiscal hit. That stated, I'm not buying anything like this pricey Saiga because I can make a lot more money buying drums and hi-cap mags... plus they'll be much easier/quicker to sell due to the lesser cost per item. Regards to firearms... simpler/cheaper/stock is more likely to be profitable and will probably increase i
  2. Deleted... realized idea wouldn't work.
  3. Let's take it a step further and add make it auto-adjusting... senses range and size of target, LOL!! Yeah, that would be kewl.
  4. I bought some of the Centurion slugs and they do fit in the MD-20... at least this batch does. However, they're a tiny bit longer than some shells and the fit is VERY close. I haven't tried shooting any yet because I haven't even picked up the S-12 from my FFL yet... waiting for other firearms to arrive so I can save money. At any rate, it APPEARS TO ME that they'll cycle just fine. Again though... that's THIS batch.
  5. So do you have an "exact quote" to Google that will find this hidden treasure?
  6. ....using that logic i guess an '86 chevy malibu is better than a '57 Bel Air? LOL Actually, in some ways it probably is. But it's comparitively WAY lower on the classy and kewl factors!!
  7. Good boy!! Now eat your broccoli and do your homework. Then you can play Nintendo for 30 minutes.
  8. Oh c'mon. The sky's falling and you damned well know it. That's why I'm buying enough Saigas to prop it up all around my house and enough ammo to keep my protectors fed for many years.
  9. DAMMIT!! I was hoping to see nekked chics with Saigas,
  10. My FFL received a .308 and S-12 last Friday and this Monday respectively. Both look very nice with none of those issues... haven't checked the barrel or internals yet though. Both do have very minor marks from the safety lever being moved but that may just be from the factory or from people in the store messing with them.
  11. I hope the new "rifle" prices don't increase like that. I'll have to cancel my order.
  12. ^^^ Softer materials are regularly coated with harder ones that can take higher heat. This usually only serves to improve durability of the product regarding wear but often also creates a surface with reduced friction and/or protects against corosion. It's a common manufacturing technique that most don't bother with because it adds to the cost of the final product. Only manufacturers with better offerings go to this much trouble and expense but, more importantly, go to the touble of proper R&D to determine if the coating actually has any "real" benefits. It sounds like MD has done its home
  13. ^^^ "HERE HERE!!!" And to those thin-skinned folk (in a condescending but symathetic tone), "there, there..."
  14. Sorry, I can't help with your problem but, oh man... that title had me going for a minute!!
  15. Please be sure to share if you figure it out!!
  16. It seems they addressed the major concerns. If the street price is less than $600 after the frenzy settles and after the kinks are worked out of the initial runs I may buy one.
  17. RE: LEO nervous about armed citizens. Texas is a Castle State... we can legally carry on our own property and in our own vehicles without a permit and are justified with deadly force should it become necessary. I've asked 5 LEO's (police and sherrif) here in San Antonio how they feel about citizens carrying in their automobiles for SD. Every single one of them looked at me like I'm a bad guy. This may only be due to their personal experiences but there you have it. They all responded more positively when I asked if they'd feel better if I had a Cocealed Carry Permit stating, basically, tha
  18. Just curious... I assume you have a full choke 24" barrel. Was your brother shooting slugs? If so then what kind? Sabot?
  19. CSS might have a 308 but I know for sure they have no 7.62x39's in stock.
  20. I bought one about two weeks ago for $509 shipped to my FFL. But prices went crazy right after that. Only a slect few know will happen with pricing over the next few days/weeks. Sadly, I'm not one of those privy to that info.
  21. I'll definitely ask to shoot it. It's unconverted... nothing done. I edited my original post to provide more info.
