Thanks for the fast replies fellas. I spoke with one of the companies who are vendors on the site. Very knowledgable fellow who assured me they could do whatever. ( I would use any vendor here. I have confidence in all of them. If their work sucked it would have been brought to light by forum members) I guess it boils down to who has the fastest turn around time (and price too). I have an interest in this thread myself. I have been a member here for a few years, and FINALLY broke down and bought a Saiga 12. I have shot mine a few times with low brass stuff and had some issues with cycling FTE, ect on #@2 setting. Originally, I was using the search feature looking for threads about the 2 gas port issue compared to having 4 gas ports. Hey guys, I havent been here in awhile but I had a question about the Saiga 20 gauge.... It seems there are some posts on here about them being finicky & not being as reliable as the 12 gauge is... Is there any truth to this???? Also, does the S20 weigh any less than the 12 gauge, or are they the same size & weight, with the only difference being the gauge??? Just like the title says... I was wondering what mags the Saiga AKs will take. Since these guns are so inexpensive (wish the 12s' were) I was thinking about adding one as a SHTF back up gun. To arm others who are gunless & to just basically have a descent AK for range fun & SHTF.... Is it a factory mag only situation, or will any standard AK mags fit? Also, I was wondering about the .223 & .308 as well.... I assume that the only mags you can get for the .223 & .308 would be factory mags only.... Can you use other .223 AK mags? So now there will be three competitors for the mags? Hmmmmm, sounds like who ever gets em out first will be the ones who makes some cash.... All others will probably not do so well. Knowing this, I think it will help speed up the delivery to market time.... As for myself, I would probably get at least one from each & see who makes the best ones for the money. ETA: HOWEVER, when the 8 & 10 round mags ARE finally available, it should make the Saiga12 a MUCH more popular gun than it is now.
