Hey guys I have a question. Seeing as how the good Mr. Claus is coming our way, I have been seriously eying the 3rd gen Kobra. My only inquiry is whether or not the sight picture is clear with the HALO hand guard installed. It looks to me like it would be A OK but I wanted to ask if anybody here had the HALO with any of the side mounting Kobras and if you could clearly see downrange? Oh yeah, and also, if I were to get a night vision scope in the future would it work being mounted in front of the Kobra? Assuming of course that the optics lined up correctly. Sweet man, 12c was what pushed me the way I went. Unfortunately mines a bit half assed because I couldn't find the factory retaining latch. Come to think of it, I haven't looked for one for the saiga since the conversion, and that was quite a while ago. Where did you get your conversion materials? I just a kit off of KVAR and it included this doo dad for regular AKs. It looks like the latch is the only piece that you have that I didnt. I can fold it over i just cant lock it down I know youll be happier with the damn stock being able to lock to the side lol.

Yeah I would imagine. After all the welding during my conversion my fiver no longer goes into the mag well without a serious fight. My 10 rounders dont have an issue (so neither do i) but our guns seem to be made to morph a bit.

From my understanding of it all, your assumptions sound correct. If you goal is to put on a RUSSIAN stock and a US pistol grip just make SURE that your US manufactured part count is 3 or more. I wouldnt count the ten rounders, ignore them until you have at least three US parts in the gun itself. I had a stock saiga that now has a folder and a pg, although my US parts include a new gas piston (Tromix), Disconnector (Tapco), Hammer (Tapco), Trigger (Tapco), Handguard (HALO Mfg.), folding stock (KVAR), and the SAW pg (Tapco). F that man. Let me tell you what worked for me. If you have the same prob that I did than hopefully this will help. Take a look at the feed lips of a factory fiver compared the the AGP mags. Note any differences? I did. My fiver's feed lips has a steeper angle than my AGP mags on the most advanced angle (closest to the hook in front). Also note the position of the shell's rim in relation to this angle when your AGP mags jam. From that point forward I polished off the smallest bit of material (ill probably polish it just a bit more). This made the shell itself release from the feed lips and the
