  1. I love the show(!!!) unfortunately it isn't on my cable yet Can't wait to see the new shows. The mohawk guy has grown on me, and I love the new guy who builds the MG-42's....talented guy! Still want Will's shop....best/roomiest Class-2 shop I have ever seen
  2. I may end of doing that (or rather having a smith do it). I have my doubts about the durability of this Krylon. It actually came out really nice looking, but I dunno, seems to be a lot weaker than I was expecting. If you want it done right, give me a buzz. I follow Hk protocal when I refinish. Since you are a forum member, I would cut you an excellent price

Thanks, that's exactly what I'm looking for! Shoot me a PM, email, or phone call. Matt C&S info@csm-w.com csm-w.com 636-928-1511
  4. Just my .02.....I would bead-blast the gun, for way better paint/enamel adhesion....gives it something to bite to. I prefer to glass-bead, parkerize, then go over the parkerizing w/ desired 'paint'.

I've got an extended release. See the pic in my signature photo.
  6. Greg brought in his gun already converted.....he had picked out some dynamite products to do his build, and the end result was a very unique and well thought out s12. The stain job he did on the AK stock, set the whole gun off. Very nice gun We stripped the weapon, glass-b'd/parked/Hk'd it. It looks like all the components are factory, now. He was having some issues w/ low brass, so we also did our bolt/T-pack conversion for him. His results were 100% on low brass and actually being able to dramatically reduce the gas-adjuster's gas flow/pressure......meaning his gun is working be
  7. Excellent post. imho, those AK varients are designed to be hammered and put away wet. Some lube, light cleaning if needed, but nothing meticulous....that's not what they were designed for. My personal gun is being torture tested, and she is holding strong and still runs 110%....never been cleaned (just gas puck) and runs and runs and runs. Again, just my opinion. On the flip side, there is nothing wrong with immacuatly cleaning the s12 and lubing it precisely....I just prefer not to on MY gun......don't feel it needs it. Now on my M16's? That's a different story....everytime fired (h
  8. I am the Saiga guy up here, so it will be handed directly to me....I'll fix it in 1 minute, and the dude will think I am a Wizard!
  9. I installed it in one of our employee's guns  Waiting for him to go shooting and pulling his hair out
  10. I bet donuts to dollars a bolt/carrier/T-pack job will fix the issues. The guys I would trust are Me- C&S Cobra Pauly. If you go with me, money back gaurentee if it doesn't fix cycling issues. Regardless, all three of us are highly proficient in this modification.
  11. It is a combat shotgun. 1-clean the gas puck/housing. 2-Lubricate. 3-shoot the pizz out of it. I have shot bizzions of rounds through mine, never cleaned (except for gas assy) and pop the top cover and hose it w/ rem-oil once in a while. Runs 100% Running a brush down the bbl, imho, does nothing as far as longevity. Removing T-pack and cleaning does nothing unless it is gunked up w/ sludge/crud. It is not a tight-tolerenced AR-15/M16 that need to be stripped and thoroughly cleaned. I am sure 99% of the people here are going to disagree how I treat my personal weapon (S12)....
  12. I could be wrong, but my understanding is the auto-plug self regulates the correct amount of gas pressure in the system, to keep gun from over gassing. It does not raise the gas pressure more than the gun/ports allow. An undergassed gun, is still an undergassed gun. Again, I am guessing, but I think the new piston actually creates more gas pressure from an undergassed, incorrect ported gun. I have seen the auto-plug and it is beautifully made.
  13. Couldn't have said it better Thanks Pauly, coming form your talent, that is a big compliment. I appreciate it!
  14. If nothing else, they would be good to have as spares while they are still available, from Tony. Imma buy a couple/few sets for me on my next TROMIX order.
  15. Pop, thank you for the photos!!!!!! You are going to love the bolt-mod the next time you shoot the weapon....smooth and fast! Everyone, thank you for the comments, I truly appreciate them!!!!
  16. I want to thank everyone for your positive comments and for taking the time to post! I am glad everyone is happy with the final product!
  17. When we were building (not selling) s-12's for employees and friends (free) back in 2005/2006. We were using factory T-gaurds. We were using an elongated mag-relaes pin as a safety lever stop. We opened up the hole on the lever itself ....and reamed the hole -0.002 undersize for the outer portions of the pin....impossible for pin to work its way out. Like someone else said, you could carefull stake it to. Good luck. Matt
  18. Try coating the spring in dry-graphite-lube spray. Should fix everything, and that stuff is slick.
  19. In my experience, you have to lathe the bbl down to proper .O.D. and lathe down the front of the muzzel (per OEM), after shortening from 24" to 18" (and 19"-12.5". Every one I have done had to have O.D. reduced for proper threading. Other's experiences may be different. But....I have never chopped a 19 to 18 though, so the O.D. might be the same on that one (prolly is), I honestly don't know, and I ain't gonna check until I do one
  20. That is Awesome gun-setup! Tony, what are you doing?!?!?!? ...... You should be on a yacht cruising around the Camain Islands after all you have done....not continuing to make gun history No, I am glad you are still churning out the innovative ideas! But take a much deserved vacation one of these days....I'll bet everyone would happily chip in ($) and get you to the Bahamas for a week
  21. Why? If you have possession of a shotgun and a matching sawed-off bbl, you are in possession of a sawed-off shotgun. Get caught? Doubtful. Against Federal law? Yes. Serious crime w/ havy consequenses? Yes. Prosecutable? Yes. Why take any chances? Just my .02
  22. Doc, I agree with you 100% Hk parks then enamles over the fresh park....imho, that is the best way to do it....that's the only way I'll do it. btw: Big Lou came in w/ the B-West AK, you and Otto swapped recievers on....Frickin' GORGEOUS!!!!!!!!! Beautiful job
  23. I agree with Pauly, if it is cut deep enuff, it won't come off. Pauly, the jeweling looks good, nice job
  24. Never personally had any issues, once notched. I like the BHO too, sorry you are having issues.
