  1. Thanks for the helpful reply there fella. None of the business members carry the Law adapter, so it would be hard to link their advertisement for it.
  2. How about $60 each form my LGS. A customer ordered them and then threw a fit on the cost ($60) because SGM mags are less each. Even though the store explained they were factory mags and more expensive he didn't want them is the story, so I got them at their cost.... Happy camper I am. This kind of stuff never happens to me.
  3. You won the lottery on this one. I have been looking for a square back for a while now and no luck at all.
  4. To get into federal service such as what you want military service is the quickest way to achieve the goal. All branches, sans tue coast guard as i can not speak for them, have a branch for intelligence ajd your current degree does not decide your job in the military. As an officer who is successful transitioning from military to civilian in the field is easy because uou will be working with them already. The four years you will spend serving will do you much more justice than that same amount of time in college. Also when you are in they will pay for you to advance your education, aside from
  5. I have never seen a post about this before, so please do not crucify me if it has, http://lastinterestingnews.blogspot.com/2013/10/md-arms-double-stack-saiga-magazine.html According to this site, there has been a patent request by MD arms on a double stacked S-12 magazine. The article shows detailed descriptions and all that good stuff.
  6. I see this happening a lot more soon, as far as quick releases from jail, in metropolitan areas where overcrowding is rampant.
  7. Chuck norris doesnt do push ups, he pushes the world down. Chuck norris can sneeze with his eyes open, and then round house kick you before you can say bless you!
  8. "Did your parents have any children that lived? You are so ugly you could be a modern art masterpiece" AND ".... How can you shoot women and children? Easy, you just dont lead them as far... HAHAHA, aint war hell!!!....." Both from Full metal jacket. Samuel L. Jackson line from Pulp Fuction, as he is a out to shoot a guy- "The path of the righteous man os forset on all sides by the iniquities of the selfish and tyrrany of evil men. Blessed is he, who in the name of the lord, sheperds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he os teuly his brothers keeper and the find
  9. Ruger American rifle series is inexpensive and rock solid quality. Has an adjustable trigger between 3-5 pounds so you can set it to your liking, comes bedded and free floated for accuracy, and hammer forged barrel for sub $400. for less than your $700 price point you cold add a nice piece of glass on it and have a seriously nice rifle. Forgot to mention, the name "Ruger American" rifle is because the gun is 100% made and assembled in America. That alone says something about it, and it gets a lot of good reviews, especially the trigger and bedding. The review here http://www.gunsandammo.c
  10. To jump in here, i have a 2010 mountain edition, hard top, and love it. Is a daily driver as you said yours will be and the BF goodrich MT tires are perfect for sand and mud on the stock vehicle. I had several jeeps before this one ranging from a 1998 all the way to a loaded 2012 sahara (how i got my wife into jeeps) and besides a 2008 lifted soft top 2 door all have been wonderful. The 2008 models were garbage on many levels. Mine had the ignition issue where it would build up static electircity and short the vehicle out which was a ton of fun. My wife has a chrysler 200 with tye penesta
  11. Rangers are meant to hate life, thats their job, which is why they are so adept at taking it away so easily from others.... HOOAH!!!! Anyway, just treat people like they are human and how you would want your son treated and you will be successful and so will they. I do not envy anyone on those ships and it takes something that i could not do personally. I did bot mind living in dirt holes i dug because there was always ground under my feet. Good luck and lead the way.
  12. Best advice: dont go and join the army instead. Second best advice: before you leave check to see if your head fits up your ass. If it does not, ensure it stays that way. Many officers are ass hats to their subordinates. Respect to your title will exist regardless, but if your guys respect you they will do just about anything to make you successful. Also, be fair and remember that people are people and make mistakes, anything you can handle in house with some tough love and not take the UCMJ route is the better option.
  13. I wish i still had access to it, but i read a very detailed article some time ago specifically about springs and their ability to maintain tension. It essentially said as long as you do all or none you are fine. It is when you apply any amount of pressure other than that for long periods, or over and over, that you essentially train the spring to not function right and create a higher risk for malfunction. I am no spring expert and can not testify to this info being correct, but does seem logical. As far as capacity goes, i do not believe that greater capacity means a higher chance o
  14. Ec4321, It is hard plastic, not rubberized like the moe+ (i wish it were also), but the biggest advantage over the molot grip is the aggressive texturing. I can not imagine an environmental situation that would compromise your grip on the magpul, unlike the slick sided molot grip. This would be very beneficial for those who hunt in harsh climates involving any combination of rain, sleet, and snow. Even with thinner gloves on you can feel the texturing on the side. Also, as stated above by Muffman, the ergonomics are very nice for the grip. Being able to stuff a boresnake in it for a q
  15. Not to enflame, but this is horrible advice from a legal standpoint. If you pay fhe money, you by default agree that he was right. You will then have no foot to stand on if future issues arise. Also, with it being noncontractual any warrany, implied or other, that is not in writing will be subject to dispute on a word vs word basis. If you do pay the monies, make sure that you get a contract prior to payment detailing all work performed, the amount of time per work performed (essentially a breakdown of what was done and associated charges per item), the warrant applicable to each part ( t
  16. Did you gey anything in writing? If so, and he dis not lrovide another estimate changing or advising of changes then you have an issue you can fight. Also, was any type of agreement signed where you authorized up to a certain amount without prior approval? It does get more sticky in a word vs word scenario, although if he is an actually established business a court would probably look very poorly on him not having any type of record system to account for charges and work done. A handshake and verbal agreement does not tend to favor well on the company in most cases if litigation becomes involv
  17. If it is naked i would suggest trying frog lube paste. The stiff is nontoxic, food grade, edible, but more importantly it dries on and leaves a dry lube film that is great for friction reduction without a residue. I do not buy into all the fluff of most brands, but frog lube works great phenomenally as a dry lube.
  18. Call and speak with a company rep. I was told by them that they are not 922 compliant and parts need to be changed to allow for hicap mag usage. These do in fact come exactly like this from russia, no conversion is done to the shotguns. I was stuck between this model and a V12 when they first arrived, i went with the V12 because it was only $100 more at the time and was considered superior in many ways for the money. I did go back and try to get one of these but they were already gone from K-var.
  19. Convenience, aesthetics, and functionality are my reasoning. Many people are intimidated with doing a conversion and in PG configuration it is much more appealing and usable out of the box. Think of glocks and 1911. Low end 1911's which are all metal and polymer glocks command the same premium. Both are reliable, but preference drives any market
  20. It coult be assumed that they manyfactured the current supply of neutered firearms quite some time ago ant are trying to eliminate that supply before going strictly to standard configuration guns. There was also the recent hoarding of AWB scare guns that will be trickling onto the market for some time to come. I do think, even though production costs should be lower, you will see the price rise on imports wih pistol grip confgurations.
  21. Do you personally know anyone else with a VEPR12 to test it in theirs to see if the magazine is universally messed up or just something with your gun? If not, and you are moderately trusting of people, you could contact one of our more reputable members/vendors who are ghn knowledgeable and see if you could send it to them for some assistance. Not volunteering him, but someone like Cobra who is well known and respected as well as very knowledgeable.
  22. On topic, i bought one of the L5AWM (Lancer5AdvancedWarfighterMagazine) And have been extremely impressed with it this far. Feeds without any issues, fit and finish are great, drops free everytime I have used it, which is all i can ask for from a magazine. I planned to buy a few more and then the AWB scare happened and i refuse to spend $60 for a single magazine. Now that it is over i will be picking up a few more Lancer mags and add them to the ammo box. I also am a big fan of the reinforced feed lip area. Is like a hybrid of a USGI type mag and a Magpul, bringing the best of both worlds
  23. I previously owner a S12 and currently have a V12. The V12 is out of the box ready to use. No conversion needed, no gas adjustments, no re profiling needed, and making it 922 compliant is cheaper than a S12. the magazines are the drawback to it compared to the S12 for most, but mostly because they already have a S12 and the mags are not interchangeable. If this will be your only AK 12 gauge version firearm then that point is moot. If you spend $45 and change the FCG with US mags you are compliant with 6 parts as I understand it. Allows the use of hicap mags while saving your money and deciding
