  1. Sorry my last post was too long for some, I know reading is tedious work. First, was Ned Beatty "Ass fucked in deliverance", well, we may never know, it was insinuated, but, penetration was never actually confirmed, and seeing that its a movie, and not real life, I doubt NED was actually "ass fucked" but its good to know inquiring minds feel the need to ask pertinent questions such as these. Mine would be, "Does the person who asked that question play a Banjo"?? But, I wanna know this, is there any vendor whose ass Bridis hasn't kissed, seriously dude, get some independence, you're
  2. This one quote, just sums up 95% of the people here in a few lines. "Just enjoy the show and be happy." From day one, when you mentioned the wrong word, PRO MAG for example, you faced being run out on rails because you dared speak words which may not be uttered. I remember one certain former mod, who even proudly banned people for disagreeing with him, at least he is gone from staff. Sheeple, come see them in droves here. STFU or else YOU may be GONE! And this, following the above quote, was his next line. "Next week they combine motor cycle parts with that of a bel
  3. JD, well said, I thought the same thing as well, but didn't put it into words, as someone else said, the misfires with junk ammo at least give you a training in FTE procedures, so there is some benefit, though dubious. I look at each weapon I own as a tool, you wanna cut metal, don't use a wood blade, thats cheaper, and each tool has a usable life, why waste the usable life of a weapon doing with it, what it was not designed for, and then bitching when its worn out a failing come time to need it. Better fewer training rounds that emulate real life, than more that don't, Paintball is fo
  4. WTF is it with all you people that just live to send your guns out to someone to spend money on? Deal with the fact your gun was never designed to use low brass, and pay for what works, or quit bitching. I have an 1187 and it won't work with cheap ammo, because it WAS NOT DESIGNED TO BE A CONVENIENT TOY, its a weapon, designed to kill things, thats why police use them. Same thing with the Saiga, find some beater that will shoot your shit ammo, and deal with it. Christ, the people give you your ammo for free, and, you have the mistake stuff as well? Why not ask them to fix y
  5. Hey I heard those guys with the gun show airing on the Discovery Channel, are designing one with...get this, 8 tubes! Thats 56 shots plus one in the chamber, and, its going to have both a left and a right pistol grip, so its universal for left or right handed shooters, one grip is used as the pistol grip, the other as the forearm, its just a matter of switching to the one you want in front. But thats not the best part, they have designed a caseless 12 gauge shell, that burns up as part of the propellant, and only the primer is left to be ejected, so there is virtually nothing to be eje
  6. Well, once again the predictability of the S12 forum comes through again! Differing opinions are classified as "Hatin" or some form of "Hate Speech". And of course the inevitable, vendor protecting, ass kissing mentality, has reared its head as well. I wonder what you guys would do if SOG used an Alliance Armament drum in one of his builds? Half of you would go blind, the other half would have blood streaming out your rectums, and then, the price of AA drums would triple overnight as younze all maxed out your credit cards scouring the earth to get one, at any price. I am glad s
  7. "Y'know, it really seems as though the people who produce the show are at least slightly anti-gun, the way they imply that Saiga-12s are some kind of mysterious animal that most citizens have no business owning; the only customers shown are there for NFA items or are completely ignorant and couldn't be trusted with a .22LR without some instruction, much less a 12-ga anything. The implication is that only specially licensed individuals have any business in the shop at all, and when some fool happens by, that's supposed to represent most of society. In the last episode, the Saiga 12
  8. Actually, according to Wiki, the Saiga is sold in Russia in both sporting, and non sporting versions, as some people actually prefer a sporting version, (if any of you can actually fathom that.). And though I have shot mine both with and without the bolt on pistol grip system(s) that i own, for skeet purposes, hands down, its best with the factory stock, though the bolt on ones are nice to use for those tacticool moments, when my pecker seems to be too short. I just haven't given up on the ramifications of what may occur with the ATF, if they come down with a bad decision, and want to
  9. I tend not to be influenced by hype, and hyperbole, and have never felt the need to do many things, only because people around me were doing so. Plus, I am a cheap fuck, and I see no need to fix a problem, where none exists, instead of spending bucks to cosmetically alter an item, be it gun, car, etc, I will spend the money to enhance performance. I firmly feel you are better off with a stock saiga, and two factory 8 round mags, than an altered one, without them. That said, if you are of the mind set that your new Cobalt, with a spiffy rear wing, and a big old fart muffler, is goin
  10. Take it from Bob, Enzyte will make your unit bigger, and the ATF isn't going to do anything about Saigas...... How about some hard evidence? Anyone? Anyone? Beuhler? Beuhler? Today it was "Presidentialed" that the ATF force the four southern border states from TX to CA to start reporting multiple rifle sales for over .22 caliber, mag fed rilfes. No fear to enact new paperwork regs, right in Fast and Furious's back yard. The closer it gets to Frobama looking like a one termer, the less fear they will have to go after something anti gun, and the Saiga sure looks like a g
  11. No, don't live in a ban state, and I don't go around calling things gay because I don't like them, can 12 year olds actually own Saigas legally???? I see no reason to perform a strictly cosmetic procedure just because the vast majority find some reason to do so. Moving the pistol grip forward does nothing to the basic function of the rifle itself, its still a semi, it still shoots one shot at a time, and I never expected a match rifle trigger when buying an AK based product. You make it sound like there is a need for a slick trigger on a shotgun, when in fact, in a panic situation, it
  12. Go ahead and drink the kool aid..... MUST MOVE TRIGGER GROUP.....MUST BE UNIQUE BY BEING LIKE EVERYBODY ELSE..................... No, think for yourself, if the gun is fine, why screw it up? No one even mentioned that ACE and others make a bolt on pistol grip stock conversion did they? You are going to hear 49 reasons why you MUST convert the gun, for every one that says not to. Key to this as we await word from the ATF, is what happens when it leaves as imported "Sporting" configuration. And nobody here can guarantee that nothing bad is going to happen but that one guy
  13. And, I would love to see a warrant issued only for discussion of technical details, short of an "I did this to mine" I don't see just discussing details to be probable cause. Its like arresting someone for rape, because they bought duct tape and condoms at the same store, there must be some indication a law was, or is, being broken.
  14. Since a semi auto is not a true "Assault Weapon" the 86 ban is probably closer to a real one, than the later one. Remember, it was always a tactic of the antis to make people think they were actually banning a full auto version later on, and AW became a keyword, meant to confuse the sheep.
  15. They work in mine, both slugs and buckshot. Cycled fine too. Frankly, I think the gun was actually made for these.
  16. AFAIK, none of the PTR series has chrome lined barrels which has kept me from going that route, I had considered one in 308. I personally think its a bit expensive, seeing you can get Arsenal rifles for less than that, and the AK system is tried and true, where all of the PTRs are a mix of new, and mil surp, again, which made me wonder about the ultimate quality. And some have had issues because of incorrectly cut grooves in the chambers. The ones in x 39 make sense because you can use existing mags. I already have a FAL, and I found it redundant to acquire another 308 "System"
  17. Nice pop can in the end of the muzzle If thats what it takes to reduce recoil, I'll live with the recoil....
  18. The problem is that "I" word. Intent, you cant prove it, but that wouldn't stop a charge if they feel like, and if the laws says NOT for resale, they I wouldnt chance the word of anyone, especially an ATF agent.
  19. I would like to see the definitive evidence that you can sell a home made firearm legally, Can you provide the source of this data? Hearsay from another individual doesn't count for crap. I wouldn't be advising anyone to do so, unless you can document the facts.
  20. Where did you find this "general consensus"? The only chinese AK's that came into the US without threaded barrels were post ban rifles. Is the consensus with the idiot on gunbroker that lists every mak he has for sale as being altered by the previous owner? And trying to pass off MAKs as legitimate pre ban rifles? Even the earliest clayco's and Gsads had threaded barrels. There is no consensus, only the facts. And, there are very few FSB's with underfolder hardware left anymore, and when they do show up, expect about a 300 dollar price. Even bolt on pig stickers go for
  21. I love it, back in the day, you couldn't mention promag without someone giving you an ass reaming, now they are not even bitched about, seems competition is a healthy thing. Yeah, something about paying 240 bucks for my first drum that still rankles.
  22. Hey that Crusader guy said they were going to make the Saiga a DD, is he going to get banned from the site for posting that?
  23. Regardless of whether the OP is joking, full of shit, whatever, bottom line is, you gotta machine gun if this happens, and no, I don't think the ATF would look on it as simply an issue to be fixed. Its also another case made that not all people should be working on their own firearms.
