Great thread, good info

Great thanks, my magwell didn't come with a pin or notched bolt, what should I use?
-
I'm in the same situation too

What a great idea, I'd love one of these on my s12

I've had it done to my trap gun over ten years ago Made a noticeable reduction in muzzle climb Worth every penny The company I used machined the holes with an EDM machine to prevent any internal burs
-
You can chop it built up but have to be carefull of internal burs, the barrels are chrome lined to you have to be careful not to chip it when cutting Removing the barrell was easy, there are loads of threads on here about it Makes it easier to cut down in a lathe and rethread for a choke or muzzle break

I'd love a metal magwell like that

I've got 4 x 8rd factory rock and lock mags if your interested? Can ship from the UK

Great work looks good!!

I had my s12 barrel chopped to 24" too, the barrels are heavy If anyone in the UK is after some 8rd factory rock and lock mags I have 4 up for grabs
-
YES they will fit the 8 and 5 rock and lock and the magwell type mags I tried the extension on my 8rd rock and lock mag but will be selling those to get some Vepr mags for my Magwell

Ordered mine last week from Maxrounds in the Czech Republic for 45 Euro's each Arrived today Very impressed with the fit and quality Machined out of billet alloy and hard anodised black They fit all variations of Izmsh and Vepr factory magzines and add 4rds to the capcity taking them from 8rd to 12rd Check out the maxrounds facebook page for details http://www.facebook.com/#!/MaxroundsCOM

I went to a local gunsmiths today to show them my S12 barrel to discus lengthening the forcing cones, as Ive had this done before to trap guns with the benifit of reduced recoil and a more consistant patern spread. Whilst on the subject he measured the std barrel which turned out to be 0.720 ID He comented that this was quite tight and that the gun may benefit from back boring upto 0.729 or greater Obviously this would remove the chrome lining but as I clean my gun after every use this is not an issue for me Just wondering if anyone had back bored their barrel to reduce recoil

What did you do about the trigger guard rivet on the inside My oem trigger has a cut out and sits flush with the base of the reciever but the red star arms trigger sits ontop of the rivit which is approx 3mm higher
-
I'm having the same issue with the rear trigger guard rivit on my S12 too
-
Did you find out what trigger fitted the S12?
-
I'm fitting an AR stock to my Saiga 12 Has anyone fitted the spring and buffer? If so what brand? As pictured below
-
Is it a big job to fit the Vepr Magwell to the Saiga 12?
-
I've just compared the forcing cone on my Saiga 12 to my Miroku Trap gun The trap gun cone is approx twice the length and highly polished, I'd like it doing to the Saiga if possible as they only charge £40 to do the work and the benefits are well worth it
-
I assume you would have to strip the chrome, ream the cones then rechrome?
