  1. Make sure its mounted correctly an then follow these instructions. This should help with any other questions with that as well. http://kalinkaoptics.com/manual/KOPOSPFixedManual.pdf
  2. Dang, wish I would have caught the FS thread.
  3. Thankfully I don't have any personal experience with this, but weren't there some instances with some of the older chaos rails with optics placed around that area that caused FTE? May be worth a try to remove he optic and test and then remove the rail and test? Just a thought.
  4. Picked up a black handled, black Bayo bladed Ultratech a little over a month ago and I love it.
  5. MI side rail mount looks great. I have their quad rail on my 7.62. They make good stuff. If I didn't have side mount optics, I'd definitely pick one up.
  6. It rubs a lot of people's hands while shooting. I have the one on my S12 I didn't trim and it doesn't really bother me. Trimmed my 7.62 one while I had it out though.
  7. Directly from the description... "Optional Rail Sets (sold separately) can be secured in numerous positions to attach any lights, lasers and vertical grips."
  8. You can have whatever finish that you can have with clear coat (flat, satin, gloss, whatever) because that's what it gets sprayed with after dipping. As far as the durability, probably just like a cars paint/clear. I had my guns painted and cleared with automotive product and they handle the heat just fine. They will also scratch just like a car does though, so if you want to throw it down and around, I may go with a different coating. I have not had anything dipped though, so that may hold up better/worse than paint if you were to scratch through the clear.
  9. Just reuse your stock spring pictured above. Examine the heads of the axis pins and see where it sits in to prevent the movement of the pins, place the spring where it should be getting started and push it to place with a flat head screw driver while directing the path of the end of it.. easy.
  10. Yea, I know.. Never know what's out there until you ask. Almost picked up a Draco on another forum, but as you said, too slow.
  11. Been looking at these little "pistols" lately and thought one would make for a nice SBR project when the time comes. Let me know what you have at Pre-panic pricing. Thank you.
  12. Ill take some when I get home. I have a TLR-2 on a pistol I can swap over to illustrate size difference between the models too.
  13. TLR-1 HP. Bright as hell and mount is integrated. I'd wonder about the clearance with your barrel though. If that's a no-go with fit, you could do just the regular one or any of the other models. With either of them, you could always upgrade to the pressure switch tail cap as well.
  14. Goodluck with putting a site on the dust cover and keeping groups. Yea, its an AK and archaic and groups probably aren't your thing with this platform anyway, but there's a reason people have worked to develop ways to not just weld a sight/rail on the dust cover and go. There's also a reason the standard FSB has been around/used so long. It works and its easy to operate/adjust. Keep us informed though. I'm always interested to see how everyone builds their rifle and their results.
  15. What different direction are you thinking? A bulgy or any other threaded FSB fits all of your needs listed. Easy to cut your current one off and press/hammer the new one on, drill the barrel and pin it to it.
  16. Rakurs FTW.. And I'm with the others, all I see is a nice looking set of red furniture. *Schwing*
  17. I've been bit by the Draco SBR bug recently. Great looking "pistol" and I like the way you're headed with it! I debated on making a wood folder out of one, but heck, I need to buy a Draco before I make the stock for one. Haha
  18. OP, its an AK... You're not going to hurt it. Make it how you want it and go out and shoot the heck out of it. One of your "I didn't mess it up, did I?!" Or other concerned threads are always at the top of the page. Just relax and enjoy it buddy. It should be fun, not something to worry about all the time.
  19. Have you checked Apex? They usually have some parts kits or individual parts for many needs.
  20. FSB.. It just depends on your FSB and brake wants I think. My barrel was threaded from the factory, but I still cut off my FSB and replaced it for the bayo lug and authentic 74 Brake use. Bought a parts kit so I used as much of it as I needed and now have some spare parts.
