  1. locktite is good stuff just not if you ever plan on removing it. I locktite'd scope shades on my leupold scope because they would rattle loose when firing.... bad idea. Im not even going to try removing them.
  2. I wish i would have invested in these shotguns when they were like $200.00

The test fire and zero was interesting. My dumbass put the trigger group back together and forgot to put one leg of the hammer spring back on the trigger. The trigger wouldent reset, I fired one shot and it wouldent fire anymore. I took it apart and reassembled it. Then the hammer pin started walking out, I guess I dident put it in all the way, again disassembled and put it back together. The rest of the shoot was flawless.

The ultimak rails are awesome. You remove your rear sight, it has a piece that replaces it with a threaded hole in the center, you remove the front sight, drop the rail on, and put in the two screws. The krebs custom selectors require some extencive modification to work in the saiga so I wont be using them.
  5. I took a hacksaw to the sight and cut almost all the way through the rear sight then they tap right out with a hammer. I got my ultimak rails installed with an eotech on one and reflex on the other. I'll post some pictures in a few.
  6. what's the best way to remove the rear sights? I hit it a few times with a punch and hammer it dident move. I done want to screw it up.
  7. I sent you an im dident get a reply.
  8. awesome guns you have an IM.
  9. Krebs customs selector Its $65.00 I ordered them i'll post a review when i get my hands on them. http://www.krebscustom.com/PartsPages/KalashnikovParts.shtml
  10. I'm going with the krebs customs selector myself I just ordered them.
  11. I'm using blackhawks swift slings for M4's on my saigas. I'd cut a link to them but I'm on my Iphone so I can't copy and paste.
  12. alumahyde II sucks if you get oil on it it soaks in, then you can peel it off with your finger nail. You should just get a good finish like moly resin
  13. I'm going with the ultimak rail and a trijicon reflex sight on the arms mount. I hope that will work well and give good cheek weld. I will post some pics and review when I get back and assemble it.
  14. I dident expect to see these so soon, if mike sent me one I won't see it for a while LOL. They sent me to FL for a month of training, then back to NY for a while before I go home to WI. I'll call and see if one was delivered.
  15. I like the blackhawk Swift slings http://www.blackhawk.com/product1.asp?P=70GS04&C=C2041
  16. I ordered like 20 AGP mags and sold them all because they were crap. I have 17 of the russian 9rd factory mags right now, im not ordering any more mags, my MikeD drums are the last mags im buying for these whenever they arrive. yes im a mag whore.
  17. I dont know, but look closely at the picture of my guns. I attached 5 rails on the two guns. The rails I used were command arms accessories or TDI rails. I had to mill the rails a bit but they worked great. I believe it was imparidel (sorry if i spelled your name wrong) who told me about these.
  18. I can only bumpfire from the hip, its only usefull at close range and if you have a laser so you know what you'll hit. It's illegal to bumpfire any guns now, I'll try to get a copy of the ruleing.
  19. I got my first saiga years ago, That saiga had the same problem with trigger slap. Its because they opened up the gas ports so the bolt is coming back too fast with 3in mag ammunition on gas setting 1. First make sure your on gas setting 1 If you are or still get trigger slap try to cycle the bolt with the trigger held down. If the trigger dosent move (which it shouldent) then your bolts coming back so fast the hammer is getting thrown down and hitting the trigger. The only way to fix it would be weld up and re-drill smaller gas ports or file a form1 and cut the barrel down.
  20. I wouldent have bought a saiga unless i could buy it converted. I knew little about the AK47 except how to field strip and operate it mostly because I dident own one, so I wasent going to try converting one myself. I would now that I know more about it. I say Tony Rumore Is the biggest factor in SAIGA 12 popularity.
  21. The stock angle will make the muzzle climb, the smooth metal butt plate will slip arround on your shoulder, and you wont have any cheek weld on the stock. I think it would be uncomfortable as hell and hurt with 3in mag.
  22. Im sure they are still selling drums, my WM drum works. Im waiting to get my hands on mike D's drum and try it out. It'll be lighter and have closed sides but we will see how hard they are to load and if they run 100%. I dont think you can load the WM by just pushing the shells down. You have to put your fingers on the shells and pull them down arround the outside of the drum while loading.
  23. whats the difference between this rail and the ultimak? To remove the rear sight.... you just tap it out one side?
  24. I would guess the top cover would be blown off in a kaboom without much other damage. The pressure should take the path of least resistance.
