  1. Yeah, but it's like an ad campaign for Colt showing an AR-15 with Tapco on it. If you are going to spend $380,000 to advertise your product, advertise YOUR product.
  2. Here is another venue to file a complaint, http://www.ic3.gov/complaint/default.aspx The Internet Crime Complaint Center involves the FBI (it being Interstate commerce and all).
  3. So true. It's like when the National Imagery and Mapping Agency (NIMA) changed their name to NGA, the National Geo-Spatial Intelligence Agency. Everyone was like, Geo-Spatial Intelligence is one word? Common sense be damned, Clapper wanted them to be a 3-letter agency.
  4. I can't believe the Russian promotional video. A lot of the rifles have CAA or Magpul stocks and American optics.
  5. You are wrong. BATFE does not regulate the length of a buffer tube It's all about "intended use" and they have determined that the intended use of SB15 brace is for the user to wrap it around their forearm. If the user chooses to hold it a different way, the intended use does not change. It is still a pistol. There are several opinion letters from BATFE saying that firing a pistol from the shoulder does not change the fact that its a pistol--putting a stock on it does.
  6. Back on topic. Well, the moral if this thread is that Pauly needs the law breathing down his neck and someone knocking on his door before he is prompted to action. He returned parts to the squeaky wheel, plus a few others, and then went dark again.
  7. My mags arrived yesterday and look perfect. The company also emailed me to ask if everything arrived OK. Prepper > CTD I like the CTD catalogs but don't buy from them anymore. I ordered something once and when it didn't match the picture, it was a nut roll to send it back and they didn't even compensate me for the original shipping. Between that, the price gouging and their high S&H charges, they are on my s#!t list.
  8. Register with the VA. It counts as a healthcare plan under the Affordable Care Act [sic]. Even if you don't use it, you can legally avoid the $460 penalty.
  9. Prepper Gun Shop has 12 round SGM Mags for the S-12 for $17 a piece. Reasonable shipping too. I never used them before but I'll give them a shot.
  10. I generally prefer the traditional furniture when it comes to an AK but that looks real nice. Good job
  11. My lawyer highly discouraged anything other than [Last Name] Trust.
  12. It may cost you in legal fees but you don't have to prove a thing. The burden of proof is always on the state. See Presumption of Innocence
  13. Darth, Nice job. That's a great looking gun. I did a similar thing with my Draco but switched to plastic furniture up front and a TWS Dogleg Rail (to mount the optic further back) to balance the rifle out a little better. ..and as much as I like the look of the Bulgy Beer Can, I found that half pound of metal sitting at the tip of the barrel was not worth the weight. The M92 is shorter though. How does it handle?
  14. that and all the extra weight from steel parts vs. the plastic crap that comes stock on it. A lot of people don't like the extra weight but that is what helps soak up the recoil. and I'm pretty strong so the extra weight doesn't bother me, I actually like the added weight, it fells like a real gun now and not like some plastic light weight toy. The gun looks great and has many of the mods I am looking at. Do you know what it weighs?
  15. I don't remember who, but one of our friends in Congress slipped a rider into an appropriations bill that prevents BATFE from banning any shotgun that was legal to import on 1 January 2011. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The “Fiscal Year 2012 Agriculture, Commerce/Justice/Science (CJS) and Transportation/Housing/Urban Development (THUD) Appropriations bills”, also known as the “Mini-Bus”, was passed by Congress, and signed into law by President Obama on November 18, 2011. The new law reads as follows: Read more: http:/
  16. Great "news" article. http://www.duffelblog.com/2013/12/mikhail-kalashnikov-dead/ I know everyone on here will get it.
  17. A good folding stock is the Polish Beryl stock. It bolts right on to the standard AK/Saiga rear trunnion. I prefer the Warsaw Pact factory look for my Kalashnikovs so went with that. It was close to $200 on Gunbroker for a used mil take off in good shape but they are cheaper at robertrtg.com when he has them in stock. Bonesteel Arms makes a new similar looking stock with a few options.
  18. I'm in. I celebrated my freedom from British oppression by working on my house...still working on freedom from home maintenance oppression.
  19. I put one on my IZ-109. It bolts right on. It has a nice natural point of aim with the factory iron sights. They can be pretty pricey for one in good shape and unfortunately, it won't fold all the way with the Krebs safety.
  20. Exactly Anyone using another 30mm side mount on a 109?
  21. Horse, I like co-witness if I can get it but not bottom 1/20th. The stock sights are really low. Thanks. That's what I thought but wanted to know from someone whose tried it. Will one of the Kalinka or Molot sight mounts get me up enough to use the stock sights but not so high I need a chinweld? Edit: Scratch the PK-01V. I read in another thread that its the same height as the RS AKM.
