  1. I had one, the double bottle model. It was indeed nice while it lasted, which wasn't long. So here's what I do now: I picked up one of these, they are damn near bulletproof and you can put boiling water right in it: http://www.rei.com/product/733948/msr-dromedary-bag-10-liter Boil water (you don't have to boil it, but we draw it from the river so proper hygiene is a good idea) in a 3gal. steel pot over the fire, take it off and wait til it gets to about 110F or so. Dump in the bag. you can use a pop up privacy tent if you want, but just find a good limb to throw some 550 cord over and
  2. There is a company called "Mojo" that makes drop-in rear peep sights for the 91/30 and the M38/M39. These have adjustable windage and elevation so you don't have to mess with the front sight ever again ( I just centered mine and let the rear do the rest ). I love mine. They make front sights too but I've not tried them.
  3. Sorry dudes, I'm gonna have to go with... SKS That shit, at least the one that I had, was an unpolished turd of a rifle. I tried to like it, I really did but the jams, the ridiculous inaccuracy (I will go as far as to say re-god-damn-donculous-ly horrible) blew my mind. No it wasn't the crown, it wasn't the lands and grooves, it wasn't the sights. I tried it stock, I tried kits with it, different ammo, I tried every aftermarket mag I could find and it just absolutely sucked balls. I couldn't get rid of it fast enough. It ruined 7.62x39 for me to this very day.
  4. Betcha a few of those pics were obstruction/squib/hot loads/impropper headspace. People are real dumbasses when it comes to ammo, especially Fuds. Had a Fud last year at my range when I was working, brand new rifle (was watching him because he said I could have his brass). So he takes a shot (Bang goes the rifle, thump goes the plywood downrange) all is well, he adjusts the scope, really really reefs on the bolt ( I was thinking wtf, that's not a mosin) takes another shot (louder report, no plywood thump) he looks back at me, "I must have gave it too much windage." I snicker because yeah i
  5. How about something like this, but with some of that (idk what it's called) flexible electrical conduit. You know that stuff that's about an inch in diameter and corrugated, also very stiff, would make a rigid "C" shape and could be adjusted. So you grab an $80 91/30, make some sort of 2 screw base that fits the buttplate connection (so the rifle stands up and can be removed for use if you want to take it apart). Then take the electrical conduit put a ring on foam in the inside diameter, but not so thick as to not allow the barrels in...just snug. THEN, mount it on the barrel witha car heater
  6. I do RC FPV aircraft as a hobby. I could knock that sucker out of the out of the air with my multiplex glider then post the video on their youtube channel. Goggles on, it's time to piss off some hippies. I've got a few extra channels so I suppose we could rig up a little air-foghorn to a servo and buzz their operator with a few blasts afterwards...or drop a steak or something on them. We can piss them off, we have the technology.
  7. I don't think a legit gun owner would go for that deal. Someone with both of those probably either has an AR or is obviously very pleased with the saiga platform already since they own both. I don't really see it happening IMO, sorry buddy. You can always try though, and I think you should definately consider being a contributor anyway!
  8. He's trolling you dude. Send back lemonparty links and you will win this one.
  9. That's funny, I work the range on the weekends off and on. Outdoor range here. The ONLY issues we've had as far as safety are LEOs. Just last year we had local LEO training and we had a round leave the range and hit a farmer to the south in the hand (alledgedly). We also have to remind LEO's to clear/make safe their weapons when the round of shooting is over and people are supposed to check targets. "Why is the bolt closed and why is this weapon's selector switch on fire?" "It's alright, I know it's clear and I removed the magazine see?" "No it's not alright, what did I tell you wh
  10. "Dear wife, now that you know what I know, we will need twice as much ammo. I had to run to the store, grabbed the credit card. Thanks for understanding!" -Husband
  11. Same reason they backed Romney, they seem to want to give away elections now Wow and I thought I was the only one here with that opinion.
  12. That's right. Fun fact though...In my state, if your vehicle crosses a toll bridge (auto-camera toll, not booth) even if you're not driving, you get a bill in the mail. If you dont pay up, you cannot renew your license/reg. Good luck proving it too, lots of people get false charges for this and the state will not budge even with evidence against their claim. It's been a big news shitstorm around here and they refuse to fix it.
  13. I believe there was some sort of record and/or receipts found at the home that they found.
  14. I think this is a fair assessment. I would like to think a majority of "ground pounders" are on our side, probably more than 70%
  15. Yeah, you're right, being a responsible person that doesnt break the law, surely I'm not qualified to handle a weapon. Take care of your shit chief, you're a criminal.
  16. I was hit head on by a gal that had out of state warrents for traffic tickets. Guess why they arrested her at the scene? Mancat answered your question. Futhermore, traffic or not, you're a criminal, hence the warrant for your ARREST. You get no free pass from me sir.
  17. Now I've never been arrested or charged with anything, nor had warrants. But don't you think clearing your name, no matter how insignificant, would be a priority above getting a new toy? So you buy a firearm, multiple firearms, great. But don't you think you could have spent that money to pay off your tickets so you don't...idk, get fucking arrested if you're ever pulled over? No offense dude, but if someone walked on my range and asked me that, I would never let them shoot there. That's irresponsible, and irresponsible and guns don't mix. THATS why this seems pretty fishy to me. Gun owner
  18. I think I smell something...un-towards...almost like a patchouli musk. Am I close?
  19. Buckle up Marty! We're going to 2007! No really, you should see it. It's pretty good. I think there was a second one as well.
