  1. I am aware of at least 1 case where a recently discharged young man was denied a purchase of a hunting gun due to "possible PTSD", even though he had been given a clean bill of health on his discharge physical. Of course, this happened in the far west, go figure.
  2. Thanks Juggs! That was funny as hell. Appreciate you lightening things up in here from time to time, some folks getttin waaaay to mean.

  5. Police offices, and the military for that matter, are simply a cross section of the public. All persons in these organizations are products of the same schools, same communities, and same basic application of rules, They just put their lives on the line for the rest of the public every day. That same public, is far less than perfect, but extremely judgmental of those that exhibit the willingness to face death daily for others. They are no different than the rest, suffer the same emotions, shortcomings and sometimes failures in judgment. Imagine the stress of being the target of all that h
  6. Congratulations, Nathaniel! Bonus Dad points too, Chili!
  7. Please, just watch the video. Perhaps there is still hope for our nation. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8k9Si28k0Fk&app=desktop
  8. Right on the money! It's kinda like TV, if you don't like what you see, change the channel or turn it off!
  9. Mr. Hopkins, while I respect your right to your opinion, I do not appreciate being referred to as a "frighten ignorant medieval peasant " due to my beliefs. To resort to name calling to express your difference of opinion is neither necessary nor flattering to your personal opinion. And after all, yours is just an opinion, same as mine.
  10. There is nothing better than taking out the bass boat to the river, casting around, & when that little green muther finally makes that "thump" on the line, I let all the frustrations, anger, and harsh feelings flow down that line on the hookset. After we fight each other as bit, I thank God for the opportunity and the fish, & let him go. Wife says I return every time a renewed man, and I agree. They say every day spent fishing is one the Good Lord don't count against you, so I'm gonna fish as many as I possibly can!
  11. A sign, perhaps? River turns red overnight! http://abcnews.go.com/International/river-china-mysteriously-turns-bloody-red-overnight/story?id=24715670
  12. My understanding is that the importance of the "black boxes" was to disprove any of the other possibilities that could make a plane explode in mid air, decompression, fuel cell, on board bomber, etc. What would be left is missile attack. To get to that assumption, they have to eliminate all other possibilities, whats left is the fact.
  13. Not exactly sure what you meant by that, Stryker. But I do agree with 1 point, I have not only grandchildren, but great-grandchildren as well. And yes, I do consider them my greatest wealth. As to my other possessions, well, they are mine now, and I do not owe anyone anything for them. Not my house, my truck, my 2 cars, nor anything else. I hope you are able to say the same someday.
  14. The typical U.S. household headed by a person age 65 or older has a net worth 47 times greater than a household headed by someone under 35, according to an analysis of census data released Monday. If all of us “old farts” have all of the money, then let us try to elect someone who might be near honest and not be after feathering their own nests. They like to refer to us as senior citizens, old fogies, geezers, and in some cases dinosaurs. Some of us are "Baby Boomers" getting ready to retire. Others have been retired for some time. We walk a little slower these days and our eyes and hearin
  15. I guess there is absolutely no possibility of the petition being used as a basic "listing" of Russian Weapons owners, huh? Don't mind me, just tightening my tinfoil hat.
  16. Yeah, judging by some of the comments being posted on some threads lately, we don't need no help looking bad!
