So weird, my gun shoots just fine, saigas are weird, I jumped a round accidentally using setting two with a 3" kent steel, otherwise mine will occasionally shoot cheap #8 remington $5.50 a box on setting one, stupid weird saigas!

The one hole looked untouched, the other looks chamfered from the bit on the top side of the hole, doesn't look like it changed the shape of the hole, I think its fine, just undue. Get the proper retaining plate and new pins, might have to figure out the safety, I want his old trigger for a project!

Where is the OP from? I'd be glad to offer a helping hand and or hands on advice. Depending on how bad the holes are they might not need attention! Look at the hole for the safety lever! It's got a giant notch to clear the arm inside but still holds the safety just fine. I am on a cell phone so maybe I'm not seeing it but it looks to me like he may have just scuffed the edge a little, don't see egg shaped from my view.

Legion has the 223 for around 550, Prices are up, just how it is. Might go down but I doubt it
