  1. Wow, when I came up with this same idea near two years ago a certain talented Saiga builder here politely thought my idea was bonkers... To be honest, this design is cleaner then the one that I envisioned.
  2. Very Nice! I saw a Dodge Power Wagon for sale at a government auction here in Atlanta about 10 years ago! It was very near this this style but I do not remember the exact year. It was a Search and Rescue Vehicle that belonged to one of the other metro area Fire Departments. It looked great and cranked up and ran. The only obvious problem was the vinyl seat covers were worn down to the fabric from countless butts being slid across it. It went for $2200, I have always wished I was the guy who bought it, but I had to place to put it at the time!
  3. You really should take the time to look first next time, they are mounted differently.
  4. I could not get your picture to load, but congratulation on the new 7.62x25 shooter. As to the ammo, I have about 800 rounds of lit left. It was good shooting ammo, but would crack in the neck on some fired rounds. It is said to be able to kill a werewolf wearing level 3A ballistic armor... so you have that covered...
  5. Dune comes to mind. Good movie, great book. No, awesome book! Speaking of Dune, I kind of liked the Si-Fi Channel remakes as well. They when in to more detail, but did not have the power of the original movie. I had hoped that they would finish the whole series.
  6. We are talking about a shotgun here! My dustcover mounted HKs work fine for this purpose. I keep my cover tight and do not take it off every 15 minutes. On a rifle, I would consider hingeing the dustcover, or a dogleg mount.
  7. Oddly enough, I have a picture of Brion James and I standing together. He is the actor that played Leon Kowalski. Nice fellow in real life, but in the movies he ususally played the bad guy.
  8. The ban scare and of course the promotion that the Saiga is getting from Sons of Guns has created an increased demand, this has of course in turn created an increased price. I have several friends suddenly calling me and wanting an Saiga 12, but all at a cheaper price. I tell them all the same thing, either pay the price now, or wait and see if the demand is sustained. Personally, I don't care, I have mine...
  9. Blade Runner was based on the novel Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? by one of my favorite SF authors, Philip K. Dick. I am not sure how much more material there is there, but I guess that if they stick to that is a guide. I would just hate to see it take the road of Highlander, in which the sequels looked have been made by people that had seen no more of the original movie then the poster... Brazil is also one of my favorite movies! For something equally odd, but set in a different period, kinda, try Naked Lunch!
  10. Frankly, the way most of them fit, they bad as well be "vented." The fit of most is far from gas tight. I do not believe that it is an issue either way.
  11. I can find you more then you can afford. internet source right? you know, id really rather avoid putting credit card info on my computer We have it here in Georgia as well. I will be to first to admit that it is not a common caliber, you will be unlikely to find it on sale at Wal-Mart, but there is plenty for those of us that prefer this caliber. Besides, with my Lonewolf .40 S&W Barrel I practice with the cheaper ammo and save my 10mm for serious business.
  12. Give the guy a break, he has not been right since crossing swords with Uncle Ron...
  13. Look at several places in the clip, one of which occurs at 2.54 where he is digging back into the left cortex of his brain looking for the right words to not answer the interviewers questions. There you will see the onset of noticeable nystagmus. This narcissistic junkie was stoned at the Interview. I have seen 6 minutes of "Two and a Half Men" in my life, I feverishly hope that I never have to go through this ordeal again. Who spends their time watching this crap?
  14. Wow, that is a seriously nice looking Cz52! Kudos! I too thought about a slide release, but since I am a Glock shooter, did not want to teach myself a bad habit. The Glock slide should be released by grasping the rear of the slide, not by using its vestigial slide release. I am afraid to ask, but where did you get those grips and how much were they?
  15. I have fired both pistols as well, but not at the same time. Perhaps the Cz52 does seem to recoil more for some folks, who can say? Perhaps the sly Commies were able to bend the laws of Physics a tad! The perception of recoil is a pretty individual thing, and some of this may be attributed to hand size and shape, I have very large hands, with a span of a foot between my outstretched little finger and thumb. Either way, given the dynamics quoted above, it is hard to imagine that the difference is worthy of consideration. I will say this, neither of them is nothing compared to my standard c
  16. Nice Video! I too had no idea that these rifles had the rear trunnion plate. I am anxious to see if it is thick enought to keep the butt stock assembly tightly mounted to the receiver. If so, this is a nice detail for those that want a folder or statci stock like you have used.
  17. Simple. I have had one many years, did the conversion myself and like it quite well. But, if you don't... Remove the Bullpup stock kit and install install a standard AK Buttstock, pistol grip, gas tube cover and lower handguard. You will also need an AK Pistol grip screw and nut and a rear sight assembly. You may also need a front handguard retainer. You may find that you your gas block mounted sling lugs have been removed in the original conversion. If so, you will have to cobble up a new front sling mount. The Bullpup Conversion Kit came with a replacement FCG (Fire Control Group),
  18. If you are not happy with the Viers Amendment, my suggestion is to call or write Representative Thad T. Viers ® and let him know! He can withdraw or amend his own amendment. He is the Rep from Horry County, (Myrtle Beach) so it is pretty obvious who the influence is behind this. Most likely the Motel Industry.
  19. How does a heavier pistol, with more grip angle, and a longer barrel, firing the same round, have more recoil?
  20. If you noticed above, I concurred on this as one of the better examples of this design. Yeah... You will not find much support in the idea that this pistol is an improvement over the 1911. It was redesigned to be made as cheaply as possible, and often, as you have stated, from sub-standard materials. The often quoted "thicker chamber" is simply the result of this. Both pistols are still at war. Both are very popular in areas were body armor is common. There is a lot more to a pistols ability to withstand heavy loads then this one factor. It is, in the opinion of many, as thick as it n
