  1. I was thinking about running a defensive carbine course, and thought to myself, "I need a new gun" so this will fit the bill nicely. Wonder how many extra mags I'll need for the class?
  2. Cleaning rod that came with the gun: Check. Stick it in the gas tube from the receiver end: Check. Beat it with a hammer: Check. Puck comes out. The only time mine became really stuck was when I went through 500rds in like and hour at the range and when everything cooled from being so hot, it really grabbed that puck with the carbon.
  3. +1 Unfortunately, a dead perp inside the home would have saved the tax payers twice. Once for the perp's arrest, and another for the Vet's arrest.
  4. LOL! I love how you try to discount Savage and Tikka by saying Walmart and Gander mtn. WOO! Buy that $1300 Action and build away! Don't complain when the $900 Savage 12LRP outshoots it!
  5. Excellent advice! http://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/product_info.php/products_id/71098 I'd settle for the 260 in this: http://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/product_info.php/products_id/70995 But that's just me.
  6. Uhhh you know Sako and Tikka are the same company. That's like saying "ONE OF THOSE WANNABE SAVAGE PIECE OF SHIT STEVENS".... it's the same company the same gun. This gun here will do everything you could ever want: http://www.tikka.fi/t3models.php?supervarmint IF you look on the website, they have Tikka and Sako listed at the top. As well as beretta and Suomi. Also, I know the 700 is a type of action. It is a shitty action that you spend thousands of dollars on to make as good as a stock Savage action. http://www.sako.fi/sakotrgmodels.php?trg22 Thank-you Capt

  8. Pyzik clearly says "I gave him some ammo since he was having a hard time finding some". It seems to me Pyzik was trying to arm his friend short term as a friendly gesture, not pad his friend's pocket. Especially in this time when it's hard to find ammo. Basically it's not just the ammo, it's the time, inflated cost, inflated demand, scarcity, etc. that he saved his friend and the friend is like: "Thanks yo!, now I can sell this ammo for $1.00/rd LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL" Total Bullshit.
  9. I'm not going to go on at what i dislike about the Rem700. They have a large following. It is my opinion that one can get MORE gun for their money buying a Savage or Tikka than a Rem700.
  10. Dude, I'd be over at his place picking up the ammo you gave him. You have an unwritten contract that the ammo was for his use, not his profit. Fuck him and get it back. That is a douche move.
  11. People love them some Rem700s. I have shot Remington 700s. Winchester 70s. Savage 111's (Long action Savage. Short action is the 11). Tikka T3s. In order of Smooth action and nice trigger: Tikka T3 Savage 111 Stock Saiga-12 Rem 700 Win 70
  12. .260 rem. (.308 necked down to 6.5) Federal makes gold medal match ammo for it. Otherwise, you're hard pressed to beat a Savage in .308 for the money and they are dead nuts accurate. My .270 Win out of the box would shoot groups under a dime using Hornady Ammo.
  13. I had a Colt Mustang (P238) and traded up to a Sig P938. And even the 9mm version of the P238 has less recoil than the LCP. LCP is stupid.
  14. The media isn't covering this because it wasn't a crazy white guy with Assault weapons and high capacity CLIPS.
  15. With practice you can Rock-n-lock a full mag on a standard S-12. But with LESS practice, you can reload faster on other setups.
  16. I have never personally seen a Catastrophic Failure with my own eyes. I have seen a Saiga-12 go FA because the guy forgot to put the disconnector spring in when he re-assembled his conversion. He shot it, BANG. Pulled the trigger again. Nothing. The hammer didn't reset. So he hands it to me to figure it out. Bang-bang-bang-click. Full-auto Slam fire mode It was fun test firing it and going "UHHHHH Dude, Something ain't right" and then taking it apart to find the DC was missing its spring. Shit can happen. Seeing photos of Catastrophic firearm events makes me not want to use t
  17. Breid1970, You can call me out by name, it's ok. My concern isn't that it's a likely event. My concern is that in the HIGHLY unlikely event that you get a double-charged round, or pop off a squib during some rapid fire.... etc. etc. I don't want a chamber next to my cheekbone. ~SN
  18. I was bitten by the Bullpup bug years back and did a ton of research. For ME the best option was a MSAR 556 (Steyr Aug Clone) but they were too expensive and I never bought one. To be honest, the idea of a bullpup is great but the disadvantages outweigh the advantages in the long run. Advantages: Short(er) than standard rifles for the same barrel length Weight distribution closer to your body Disadvantages: Poor Triggers (even the RFB which has a great trigger, pales in comparison to my triggers in my AR and AK's) Slower Reloads (Don't even argue this point. Someone who
  19. If you read the entire article, it states that only businesses with OVER $1m in sales would have to collect taxes. Small mom&pop places would still be ok to not pay taxes. I do agree with Ebay that maybe it should be higher ($5-$10m) Considering that even if you sell $1m and make 10% profit, you're only making $100k. And I doubt people are making 10% off Pmags when they were 10/$100. I would like to see the bill simplify the sales tax to say a flat 5% online tax that gets paid to the state where the product was shipped. That way it evens out the playing field but you don't have Mom
  20. Anything you say Can and Will be used against you. There is a 99.9999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999% chance that if he had kept his mouth shut and just gone to school and left the shotgun in his car all day, nothing would have happened and he'd be free and clear.
