It was probably a cheesy concession for importer pricing concerns. Perhaps the steel rail option is a $150+ upgrade? Who knows. I doubt it will affect me with the T1 and Kobra, but its not milspec in my opinion. Sometimes you gotta call a spade a spade.

I believe that 922r will kick in with just a folder or collapseable stock regardless of a 5rd limited mag. Anyone that knows different feel free to make a correction.

I feel bad now for calling your inner adapter names. It's just that I want to be able to bash my buttstock repeatedly against a tree if I felt like it. I'm batshit crazy like that. I understood that the design choice was made in part due to the inherent variations in AK dimensions. Hard to get around it without producing multiple inner adapters. When I get back stateside and can make my preferred stock interface that mates with the Vepr12 I will post it here. I'm pretty sure you already know what it will look like.

Looks very nice. i was tinkering around the house today and made a simple spacer for the adapter. The 1/8" alum flat I used was a little on the thick side and spaces the stock off the receiver by about a millimeter or so, but I think the idea is sound. If someone wanted to spend an hour wetsanding it until the rear adapter barely fits flush with the receiver I think it would look nice and moreover put the recoil stress back on the rear trunnion where it belongs. I still plan on making a whole new internal piece because I dislike the 2 screws, so these are no use to me. If you or mutt w
