  1. Or elk hunters, antelope hunters, varmant hunters, upland bird and waterfowl hunters, range shooters, ex-military, gun lovers,etc... Amen brother.
  2. "I'd rather be judged by twelve than carried out by six". Life or death situation, I would gladly give axcess to my gun to an untrained loved one, rather than take the chance of having a would be assailant kill them. I have # 4 buckshot at the ready in my bedroom in two shotguns that won't kill anyone outside my home, but probably will the robber(s). Of course, everyone I know here in Montana knows how to use a firearm, especially loved ones. I usually don't converse with anyone who's anti-gun.
  3. I have a corded and cordless Dremel. The corded one I've put through hell in the past about 16 + years, keeps on tickin'. Had her literally smoking a few different times. I like the cordless one if I need to be mobile and cut through some steel. It definately doesn't have the power the corded one does. If I cut something and put a little too much pressure on it, it cuts out momentarily, which sometimes gets to be a pain in the ass as the cutting disk grabs whatever I'm cutting if I push a little too hard or don't keep it straight as I cut.
  4. These are pretty neat also... Concealed Bed Safes Total hidden protection for firearms and other valuables is a reality, using this 1300 lb secure 78”x 60”x 14” (queen size) 10 gauge steel strongbox fitted with ¼” thick steel 140 lb. hinged doors. BedBunker Safes are available for any size bed. King and Queen size beds can be fit with a single safe with two adjoining storage supports on either side for complete concealment from all angles. Bedbunker safes are approved by the California department of justice for storage of firearms and are guaranteed for life! Conce
  5. I like the idea of a Zanotti safe, being able to disassemble it and take it with you if you had to relocate (and in a hurry!).
  6. It's really just a show piece, though I will use it for marmots. I do the odd custo build here and there and I have found that several guns attract a lot of customers. My draco, close to stock, insanely fun to shoot, and a real tack driver that often outshoots folk's full sized AKs My Saiga 12s A kit built PSL what folks keep asking about is an AR, I've held off because I used to build tons of them and really am not a fan of the platform. I can't really wow people by adding $700 in picatinny-crap as that is what every other AR looks like, also I don't make money from accessorie
  7. What an awesome idea! Just like nyclu3 said, actual power going through one of the conduit pipes for a dehumidifier (a Golden rod would be great), and romex powering a little light. Hell, run it hot with some 220 electrifying the cabinet itself and an automatic water sprayer that faces the guy opening it. (LOL! ) Seriously, I want to do this set up with a Sentry cabinet I have. If I had a storage building, I'd put a couple of them on opposite corners, waterseal the door, and put some cheapo guns in there. I'm gonna partition some closet space for this project. Thanks for sharing this
  8. I swore I'll never step foot in that town again!! I lived in Boulder City for five years (built the Hoover Dam bypass bridge, and a few highrise towers in Vegas.) Place is only good for fun, not livin' in if yer a good ole' boy like me. Alright enough of my griping! Do you like seafood? The Rio just off the strip is the best of the best ( at least it was three yrs. ago when I left) All you can eat clean, fresh scrubbed raw oysters, king, snow, blue, and Dungess crab, quartered lobster tails ( thats right, and all you can eat!), and everything else you can imagine. Every dessert known to man (
  9. This is some good shinola! My answer to Facebook that I don't frequent. I look forward to all the wealth of info, humor, and knowledge on this forum, especially the pissin' matches and education given out by moderators! Keep up the good work, Juggs! Semper Fi brother.
  10. For around $35.00 more, the Vortex Strikefire is a pretty darn fine dot IMO. Check it out. It has both red dot and green dot, built rugged as hell, has a switch that dims or brightens the dot, it's night vison compatable, shockproof, and its supposed to be waterproof, although I've never tested it. It also comes with a screw on doubler. You can get it with either the low mount or the high mount. I've got the high mount on both my rifles so I can see the iron sights under them.
  11. They are kind of fun to read, now and them.
  12. I used a thin Dremel grinding wheel that was about 1/2 the diameter of when it was origional size on the last three I did. The first one I did, the wheel diameter seemed a fuzz big, because I slightly cut into the housing, which wasn't a problem, because I filed it smooth after some work and painted it. The ground downed disks with a steady hand worked better for me without nicking the mag release ends.
  13. For five years I was a member of a range in B.C., NV that charged $50.00 a year. They had 8-10 100 yrd. bermed pits, a hugh area with shooting points set up between 100-1000yrds with iron dingers, 10-12 butt pits set up like in the military, multiple 25 yrd pits, skeet and trap area, and everything else inbetween. Yearly upon renewal, my membership card would have a four digit code on the back that was the enterance code for the locked gate. Sun up to sun down was the time for shooting axcess. The only time I ever saw a rangemaster was an ocassional class (SASS, long range sniper shoot, or the
  14. I'm runnin' a TWS Gen I on one rifle and a Gen II on the other, both with rear peep sights, and both have Trijicon tritium front sight posts. In daytime, they're night and day compared to the origional factory sites, with the rear peep and the extended sight radius. I haven't done any dusk to dark firing yet, but that will be coming soon. I've got Vortex Strikefires on both of them.
  15. "one female member, who goes by the screenname Arnold, boasts at least one unique skill she can contribute: making “humanure" I'd have a bit of a stress being hunkered down in a hidey hole cave when TEOTWAWKI comes and my celly is a gal named "Arnold" who can contribute a unique skill that namewise is the combination of " human " and " manure "! I would definately be doing ALL the cooking!!
  16. I used an m-16a2, and a Mk-19 in the Marine Corps. (Desert Storm-Somalia)
  17. I got both refunds two weeks ago from them. I was holding my breath, thinking the money was gone, on pins and needles waiting for both refund checks to clear, and a few days later, they did clear. I sent them an email when I requested my refund saying that I'll pay full price for one when they're in full production. Of course, that won't happen unless I run into a nice chunk of cash, because I sold my Saiga 12, and all the parts I had intended to put on the Kushnapup for great prices to others. 15 months of pre-order waiting, and having a carrot dangle on a stick in front of my nose with
  18. This makes absolutely no sense to me. I would think that a splattered taliban diaperhead viewed personally by another taliban diaperhead from the result of a firefight/ payload drop/ chain gun would "influence" them bastards a lot better than printout data on the G.I. weapon from a web forum.
  19. It's hard to imagine what they could want that kind of quantity for. That's enough pistol ammunition to kill every man, woman, child, dog and horse in the United States and Canada. They must have had a lot of money left over they had to either spend or give back to the taxpayers. My wife ran the numbers and she cam up with it being enough ammo to kill every US citizen 1.3 times. That would be one shot, 1.3 kills, as long as they are accurate with every shot. I was starting to think maybe they bought that much ammo because I kept avoiding the Census lady back in 2010! (LOL).
