  1. The Governator has been getting a bad rap lately, but with how liberal the politics are out here it could be a whole lot worse. If Gavin Newsom for example is ever elected governor like he wants, then I'd expect the BS gun laws to flow for sure. At least the Governator signed a law that prevents the state attorney general from adding new AK's and AR15's to the series banned lists (All AK's are "supposed" to be banned by series out here), which effectively legalizes all newer AK/AR15 models with no chance they will be labeled assault weapons without a new law passed. Most people out her
  2. I was a bit leary too in the beginning when I got it about being plastic but the part is stiff as all hell, looks like the stuff they make their handguards out of. That being said,it takes the beating from the .308 and the scope doesnt budge.
  3. For the front attachment you pop out the rear sight leaf and theres a black steel pin that pushes through from the side. It comes with a little plastic piece so you can use a clamp to pull it down against the spring to keep the pressure on it and the pin pushes right through. Its actually real easy to install.
  4. I've got two on rifles with homemade wood stocks, and also one on a S 12 with the factory stock. Looks like they were made for the factory stocks as they fit decent.
  5. If you take a small screwdriver and push the button with it you can use the button to pry it a little. Those bottom plates come right off like that.
  6. I've got three Fords and a Dodge and all of them have been basically trouble free with not much more than gas and oil changes. Regular maintainance keeps them going good. My Dodge is a 96 Ram 1500,my Fords are a 96 F250 Crew,99 Taurus, and 02 Explorer. All but the explorer are well into the 100,000 miles already. I've personally always had better luck with Fords and shitty luck with the few GMs I've owned.Besides, now that Obongo wants to run GM they wont be around too long, and I certainly wouldn't trust this government to warranty my car.
  7. I've got the SGM one on my .308 I like the fit of it and it is rigid up there. No problems holding zero on the scope either when you flip it up to take the dust cover off. Easy to install too. Its the one in my avatar
  8. Scary part is,it almost sounded like the broad from CNN didn't know that these tea parties were all over the country when that other woman confronted her. silly commie reporters....
  9. Thats about how they've been playing a lot of things lately.Thats where they pass their back door deals and try to shove them in our back doors....
  10. The thing is,if we keep getting the canned replies,we know they probably didn't read what we sent. Come November when their time is up,hopefully we can can them back and hopefully get people with a little common sense back in their place. I've gotten both canned responses and also direct responses,of course not too many of the latter but.. We do need to get more of our own involved with sending off letters and emails, they all have email links in their web pages, and hopefully if we can recruit some more of our shooting friends to write, they may just start to take note of what their constitue
  11. The 7.62 mags from Surefire was what got me hooked on their mags and they have not let me down yet. I've got a bunch now that I shoot without any problems whatsoever. I would definitely recommend them.
  12. Thats a standard response,I got one almost word for word from my idiot on the hill. Thats got to be the one they send out to those of us they don't agree with or listen to,let alone vote our ideals...
  13. I've had a MEC 600 for about 20 years now,was used when I got it and still works great.Made thousands of rounds with it and still going strong.
  14. Sure is making his rounds...I got one too but the message didnt open so I put it down, good thing too,I see.
  15. I picked up a few bags from Midway USA a while back,a 42" and a couple 46",theyre decent for soft cases but they do hold our Saigas with all the toys mounted. Also has 4 mag pouches and a big side pouch. Was Midways own branded bag.
  16. CSS has some made by Surefire http://store.carolinashooterssupply.com/se...FIRE-2RD/Detail Good place to deal with too.

    Mag vote

I've got a few Surefires,an AGP and a Promag. Of the three my Surefires rank the highest.I have had no problems at all with them, but both the AGP and the Promag have feed issues and had to be fitted. My vote goes to Surefire.
  18. Its a metric 5X0.8 10-32 fits perfect too
  19. We are talking side rails to mount an AK type scope mount not a top rail. Gotcha I was thinking of the top rail my S20 has,my 12s do have the side scope mount rails.

    Dinzagarms

Thats too cool Someones got some talent with wood..
  21. Neither of my 19" S12s has a top rail, one 07 and the other 08. Just the dovetailed rear and a pin.
  22. Last time I went to the Gibralter show there were a few vendors with Saigas. One guy had a brand NIB S12 for $900.... There were others that were reasonable, sort of,but it wasnt too bad. This was back in January.Went to one there about a year ago and there were maybe 2 Saigas in the place and not too many vendors.Their shows have picked up some now that obongo got into office.
  23. I just picked some up from them last week too. Does anyone know if those are reloadable at all? Was thinking of trying it with a reworked crimp die to roll the top lip back down.
  24. The plastic feed lips on the surefires let the shells come out a lot smoother than the steel feed lips. The steel digs into the brass just a little and helps slow the feed. I cant say that I've had any troubles with any of my Surefire 12 rounders yet as far as sticking and I've put hundreds of rounds through mine already.
  25. I've got the 8s and 12s and they do have the same spring in each from the factory. I've had good luck with either of them pretty much shooting anything I want through them. Some people have had troubles with the 3"mag 00 buck breaking off the front of the mag but thats one helluva load, and aint for a lot of shooting as much as they cost.
