  1. I guess I wasn't the only one thinking about this: Atlantic Firearms is now selling a folding kit for the "wrist brace".
  2. Thought folks might be interested in this: Industry group issues update on ATF’s gun trust rule changes, NFA Backlog /http://www.guns.com/2014/11/08/industry-group-issues-update-on-atfs-gun-trust-rule-changes-nfa-backlog
  3. I still have my Grandfather's 10/22 that he gave me when I was a teen. Picked up a 77/22 twenty something years ago too. Both have performed well, over the years. The Wife had got me a Charger pistol for Christmas a few years back (a gift certificate at a gun shop, actually). It's been ok. In the late 80s, I had a mini 14 for about a week. Couldn't get it to keep a decent group and it would typically fail to load the last round. Like I said, I had it for about a week.
  4. Just picked up my Huntertown Arms Kestrel 22 SS suppressor. About 5-6 month wait on form 4.
  5. My dealer just called yesterday, saying the tax stamp was in for my trust's very first NFA item. I filled it in June, I think it was. Actually, I was going to have the dealer efile it in late April, but after a month and a half, the system was still down, so I just snail mailed it myself.
  6. Back in the mid 80's, my HS actually had a rifle team. Granted, we could only use single shot or bolt action 22 rimfire rifles and they would supply the ammo, but still.
  7. I've tried half a dozen various grips over the last 5 or 6 years and I keep returning to the Magpul AFG. Granted, I have a fused wrist on my support hand (and limited grip), so some sort of added grip seems to work better for ME. The Magpul short vertical was pretty comfortable though, I have to admit. If I ever mount a flashlight on my S12, I might go back to the short VG. We'll see.
  8. I have one of these too. Hardly ever used it, since I also bought factory extended mags, but it worked fine the few times I did.
  9. Though not ENTIRELY on subject..... the wasp spray reminded me of an interesting defense mechanism a cartel kingpin made in Central America I got to see, back in my Army days: He took one of those electronically activated solenoids they use in doorbells to ring a chime and somehow had a bee hive ("Killer bees", I think) around it. I'm speculating that he might have somehow put a queen killer bee in an attached housing on it and let the bees build the hive around it, but I'm just guessing. When a button was pushed, the solenoid rattled the hive and the bees swarmed out, mad as hell. It was
  10. I still have the old SP1 of my dad's, as well as a carbine setup. If I do any more ARs, it might be a non 5.56 pistol of some kind, with the forearm brace. 300 BLK maybe? Perhaps a 6.5 or 6.8. I already have a Draco, so I don't need another x39.

  12. Yeah, it fits a standard BCG. I've already got two people interested, but I just forwarded their contact info to my friend's widow, so she can do the trade. If for some reason, it's still available, I can let you know.
  13. Not to be all conspiracy theorist, but I've not seen a video that actually SHOWS him being killed. I've seen "john" take a knife to his throat (sharp or dull, I can't tell) and saw, but the camera immediately goes dark, then it shows a still pic.
  14. Of course, I understand "someone on the internet said it's ok" is NOT a good legal defense, but I appreciate everyone chiming in. I already own a spare ACE folding mechanism and I just bought a "pig nose" AR tube adapter. Now to get a tube and the SB15. Still debating if I want to have the receiver drilled and tapped or just buy an adapter. I understand KAK makes a nice buffer tube specifically meant for use with the SB15. EDIT: I talked with Dinzag a little (he's local) and it sounds like the rear trunnion might need to be annealed before attempting to drill. Because he doesn't have a
  15. Hi guys This is for the widow of my buddy that died last year. She had me come over to help her figure out what firearms she had and what they were worth. Among the various things were a few ARs that were in various stages of being built. What's weird though is that she has a bolt for a 7.62x39 but no barrel or upper with larger feed ramps. I don't know if my buddy just bought the wrong thing or what. She doesn't want a 7.62x39 AR either. I asked if she should just get a barrel and a different upper. She loves shooting and wants to have the ARs finished. Does anyone have a spare 5.56
  16. I'll take the ACE CAR15 stock adaptor for $15.00. PM inbound.
  17. Thanks for your thoughts. I didn't know if drilling the rear trunnion the same way you would to attach an ACE stock would be an issue, since the hole pattern is the same for a folding mechanism.
  18. Hi guys I own a Draco and it's pretty much just been a range toy. I'm considering getting one of those forearm braces however to make it more handy. like this My question is.... If I were to install an ACE folding mechanism on the back of the Draco and have an AR pistol buffer tube for the brace (so it could fold), would that be legal? I'd be adding the folding mechanism that would make it pretty simple to add a stock, if I were feeling like going to prison. While it would be more involved than sliding a vertical grip onto the rail of a Glock (and making an AOW) or putting a
  19. Interested in something like this? Has front and back sections, but no armor.
  20. I wonder if you could load a shell through the ejection port on the super shotty, like any other pump action.
  21. Was at a gun show yesterday. Saw about 8 or 10 Saigas, two VEPRs and still a fair supply of Russian ammo. The prices varied, with one stock Saiga 12 being $650 and another identical one listed at $800. The VEPR-12 I inspected was around $1,100 (folding stock model, welded open). I didn't price the ammo.
