sKott 26
Just picked up my late Christmas present today. CZ 75 P01 9mm w/ night sights and 2 14 round magazines. Nice finish and a great feel. If you are in the market I would suggest looking at one of these. I plan on taking it to a range this weekend and give it a test run. Will have a Range report... matt 0
Congrats, I never get tired of looking at CZ porn. You're gonna love shooting that, and the more you do the smoother it will shoot. The P01 is my primary carry gun, can't say enough good about it. I've got a 85 and the .22 Kadet upper which will fit on either gun. The magazine Gun World Feb.2008 edititon has a good article on the P01. Just be careful CZ's are addictive, its hard to stop at just one.
caughtlikefire 0
nice! I'm a Beretta guy but I do like CZs a lot next handgun purchase will be either a Beretta PX4 Subcompact (when it finally comes out) or the P01 - just need to see which fits my hand better. nice thing about the P01 is that CTC makes laser grips for them - big plus for a concealed carry gun in my opinion
SuAside 2
CZ 75's are pretty popular out here (western europe). they cut themself a nice share of the market.
ClickClickD'oh 1
I went Pokemon on CZs... I just had to collect them all. The only one I've ever been disapointed in was the CZ-100. I'm on the fence with the 2075 RAMI, just because I think the CZ-75D PCR is just as nifty for concealed use. There are a few disadvantages to CZs though: 1) Holsters. Good luck, you'll most likely have to get custom leather. If you don't mind too much though.. Beretta holster and sometimes Glock holsters tend to fit. Leather or Nylon only though... Kydex never fits 2) You'll want to buy more CZs

sKott 26
Thanks for the replies. I went to the range today to give the P01 a "Test Drive". Again this is my first pistol and first time at the pistol range. Ammo was 115 grain Monarch (Russian Manufacture - Green Box) purchased at Academy $7.75/50. The Range I used was Carter's Country near Humble, TX. Range Distance was 15ft. I normally wear eyeglasses (nearsighted) but left them at the office on Friday. This was the results: Most ended up in the center. A few wild shots (mostly fast follow-up shots) All 50 of them hit the target or went through the big hole. All in all I am very pleased. Next time I'll actually bring my glasses and get a little better.
Twinsen 86
Sure is a pretty gun. I don't know anybody that isn't happy with one.
Saigaczech 9
Hmm, I never liked any of the decocker models that CZ peddles. I do highly recommend a CZ-SP01 or a CZ-75B SA for future purchase. Great gun with great ergonomics. I bet if you had your glasses your group would have been just one small ragged hole. SuAside 2
i always found the slides a little slim and difficult to grasp in stress situations. but then again, i might just be too used to big slides, that's all.
rs76239 0
Nice CZ sKott - I've got a P-01 also and have been real happy with it - has a great feel. The 16 rounders fit also - If you get the 40P baseplate from CZ it'll fill up the gap.
ClickClickD'oh 1
do you've got a CZ97? i always wondered about those... Sorry, about the response delay.. rough week. The -97 is a lot like the -75, only heavier. Seriously heavy. As in, I'm not carrying this on my belt heavy. It's not going to cause you muscle strain when you pick it up or anything silly like that, but you won't want it on your belt all day. The wieght does have a plus side though, the -97 is one of the sweetest handling .45s I've ever fired. That tonnage really tames the .45s recoil. There is on problem with the -97 though. Like most 1911s it doesn't like hollow points. Nothing a good gunsmith can't fix though. Big gun, fun gun... range gun.
sKott 26
Thanks for all of the replies. I really like this gun. Several of us from my office are going to go to the range again this weekend. Between the 3 of us there will be the CZ P01 9mm, a Glock 23 .40 and a new Baby Eagle .40 - can't wait till Saturday. In the meantime I got my Bianchi M100 IWB Holster today. Model 19234 Size 11 For the P01 not to be listed on the package, it fits the gun like a glove. Also no too bulky to wear. The leather and workmanship looks top notch. I'll have to see how it holds up. I also ordered a set of the Half checker Coco Grips from Ghost Products. From what I understand the Wood grips are a little thinner. Or at least that's what I'm hoping for. Besides I've always liked the look of the red wood on black. Not much heavier then a stainless 1911, IMHO. Their other weakness is the screw in barrel bushing, have had several fail over the course of years. Usually it is the threads getting stripped off, but I have also had the bushing fracture along the bore axis. Needs careful inspection after every range trip. Otherwise a good gun, would be better with ambi safety.

(Nothing says "Love" like a firearm...) It's a truly sweet, comfortable little gun. Haven't shot it yet (it's HER gun, and ya don't want to dis' an armed woman...) but one thing that amazes me is how smooth the trigger is in DA. It's nearly as smooth as in SA. The grip seems like it will be great for a woman with small hands (like my grandpa advised me to find.....) One downside is that the safety can't be engaged with the hammer down (Firing pin lock-type) so she may be reluctant about carrying it "hot" with the hammer down. That's how she was about her KelTec .380, the real downside is that she had trouble racking the slide by herself. So, I hope she will pack the CZ with one in the chamber, and be able to cock the hammer if needed. Although, as sweet as that DA trigger pull is.... The -97 has a SA/DA trigger that can locked in condition 1. I carry all my CZs condition 1 except for the PCR. The trigger feel on the -97 is like most of the other CZ's. A little mush early in the DA stage, then consistant pull one it takes up the slack. The -100 is the only DAO CZ I know of off hand. Avoid it like the plague.. and this is from a CZ fan. Respectfully posted, guido2 in Houston The 2075, like all modern CZs, has a firing pin block in it. In terms of the mechanical function of the firearm, it is safe to carry with the hammer down on a loaded chamber. Given the lenght of the DA trigger pull, it's also highly unlikely that anything will accidentally pull the trigger.. But, keep it in a holster with a covered trigger just to be extra safe. However, getting the hammer down might be a different story as there isn't really a safe way to decock a loaded 2075. Thumb dropping it is the only way I know of to get it down. If she absolutely insists on not having it in condition 1, have her practice practice practice thumb dropping the hammer and letting the trigger off halfway through the hammer travel. The included dummy rounds are perfect for it.

fobmagi 0
I've had a P-01 for about a year now. I love it. You will not regret your purchase, even some of my friends who are .45 lovers cant deny its a wonderful gun. I've put probably 2k rounds through it and have had 2 FTE's that may have been limp wrists. I like to feed mine Remington 115gr UMC (250 ct yellow box) at the range and speer gold dot +P+ 124gr at home. why does your gun not have the NSN in the first pictures? which picture is your gun the first set or this last set? sKott 26
why does your gun not have the NSN in the first pictures? which picture is your gun the first set or this last set? The first time I posted I cloned the NSN and the serial number out in Photoshop. The second time I just cloned out the serial number. I just don't like posting any identifiable numbers on the web. After I figured out that everyone had the same NSN number I didn't worry about cloning it out on the second set of picts.
dodgeturbointerceptor 1
Anyone know which CZ-75 was issued to foreign military? Do they make a current "spartan/stock" kind of CZ-75 in 9mm? Saigaczech 9
Hey, Dodgeturbointerceptor, just get a plain Jane CZ-75B. They do not have bells and whistles, have same great trigger, excellent ergonomics and they can be had for under $500 in most places (ones in my area are ~$400 still). If you want a great gun, stick with the original, you can't go wrong.

THEN You get a P01 and then I get a P01 and put wood grips on it, only to find out you did the same! Quit Future Copying me! I agree though, the wood grips are sweet.
