TonyRumore 1,332
The first machining run of S-12 firing pins is complete and are headed to heat treat now. We should have them ready to ship in about 2 weeks. Tony Rumore Tromix Corp

TonyRumore 1,332
Around $20 bucks. I won't have a final price until I know how many fall out after heat treat. Tony
BUFF_dragon 3
awesome, does anyone have a link to how to replace the firing pin? how hard or easy is it?
corbin 621
I'll take two, when they become available. Will they be both parts of the firing pin or just the front section? Buff, you just push out the pin that holds the bolt head to the bolt and pull the two pieces apart. Then you can access the firing pin, which is actually made of two pieces. Corbin awesome, does anyone have a link to how to replace the firing pin? how hard or easy is it? Edited July 15, 2009 by Corbin
BUFF_dragon 3
sweet, I'll have to play with the gun I've got apart at the moment, but that is a nice compliance part can't wait to see one.
HillBilly2 9
uhhhhhhhhhh, a firing pin is not a compliance part..............................

crfakm4 0
Is there a problem with the one's in the S12's now?
corbin 621
Not that I'm aware of, although it can never hurt to have extras in case of loss or damage. Come to think of it, I seem to remember a thread I saw some time ago where somebody had a pin break and had to get a new one made. Is there a problem with the one's in the S12's now?
gkcf 8
I don't think its a common problem or really a problem anyone should be concerned about happing. However, having a spare pin on the market and having one in your parts box can't hurt.
BobAsh 582
Is there a problem with the one's in the S12's now? There have been very few cases, really. But I'm definetely putting a couple of them in my parts bag, who knows how long they will be available?
bigcec1 72
Always nice to have enough spare parts to rebuild a gun from scratch Edited July 24, 2009 by bigcec1
rightwingnut 0
so you are making these b/c the factory one's aren't easily available?
ChileRelleno 7,071
so you are making these b/c the factory one's aren't easily available?Yes, that is exactly why Tony is making them. There have been a few posted instances of broken pins/strikers, and myself and others have expressed a interest replacements. Always nice to have a stash of spare parts. corbin 621
Definitely worth have some spare pieces. Maybe eventually, a U.S. manufacturer will make things like the extractor or even the bolt itself.
goldenman 1
I'll take two. Thanks again Tony

BobAsh 582
The parts have just returned from heat-treat and are currently undergoing life-cycle testing. When we are sure about their longevity, they will be shipped to our dealers.
