Lone Star Arms 2,047
We are legally allowed to own magazines in the UK, they aren't 'controlled' under any legislation. Rusmilitary.com will sell 20 rd drum mags but the prices are eye-watering - about $1000 as mentioned above Our club in Lincolnshire has a practical target 50yard range with drop down steel plates. Our problem isn't your laws. The issue is whether a US export license is required to send them to the UK. If it is, that may well explain the extra cost. If it isn't you're getting ripped off, and you should start your own business. WS
Lone Star Arms 2,047
I have a type 07 FFL, and want to call ATF next week on another matter anyway. I'll ask about requirements for exporting magazines while I have them on the phone. WS
bigj480 203
Back to the OP's request: IIRC The problem is that, in addition to any other export restrictions that may exist, one can't legally ship gun parts with a value of more than $100 without an export license. My suggestion is that you should contact a licensed exporter or an importer in your country. You will not find the average citizen very eager to risk 20+ years of their life and jump through all of the hoops that are involved when exporting gun parts. Good luck. Lone Star Arms 2,047
Or leave US stuff and buy something in EU... Just picked up a brand new MD Arms 20 round drum at a gun show for US$150. I feel so badly for you poor Brits - having surrendered nearly all of your gun rights to appease the socialists. Have you considered importing baseball bats, and tire irons? WS

ASSASSIN 1
Hi all There are no import restrictions on magazine capacity of a removable magazine for any weapon here in UK. Our saiga 12s are not pussh me pull you as one person said, they shoot as fast as you can pull the trigger and are semi automatic, its the rifles that are manually operated (well thats the idea :-)) I know several people wanting the md20 for practical shotgun competition. sadly many people in the U.S seem to have a very antiquated idea of the gun laws over here and think all weapons are banned etc, this is not true and we do actually have quite a variety of equipment avaliable to us. If someone is willing to export the MD20 drums and other high cap mags then they are going to make some nice money. Someone think about it and be the first to do it, then others will follow when they see that there are no problems. I was exporting 8 round saiga shotgun and 30 round rifle mags to you guys in U.S when you had the assault weapons ban on, no issues for me exporting and all customers got their goods. assassin

madmax4x4 68
I don't think I have shipped anything to the UK but I have shipped stuff to others out side the US on here. Most of the time I put saiga drum or parts on the form and no one has had a problem yet. I feel your pain guys. A lot of stuff I want outside the states that will never be or I will never pay for because are dollar sucks. Edited November 20, 2010 by madmax4x4
