DrGonZo 157
so do you only sell that AK kit to LEOs? On the web page it says that that particular model is for military/LEOs only, but it also says that a civilian model will be released.
Bvamp 604
the gun is the LEO product, not the kit. at least the kit isnt regulated in any way, rather, but intended for NFA item use...
macgyverhk 3
Looks like it was made from Legos. IMHO I don't want this Lego Land S-12 Bullpup but I am still open to the concept of a S-12 bullpup that would remain a weapon rather than a movie prop. I believe someone will create one someday that will wow us. SGWORKS just wowed the SKS community with their bullpup, perhaps they can take a look at the Kalishnakov platform next. crlovel 4
I love these AK kits for LEOs only. Are there ANY LEOs running around with AKs or Saiga 12 gauges? Edited December 9, 2010 by crlovel

reapur 1
Has anyone on the forum got one of these? I've been talking to Bernie and I just wanted to make sure before I commit to one. cheers
gremlinx 20
I love AK bullpups, but the forgrip is video game. I'll carry my extra mag. Thin down the front grip! Take the Call of Duty out of it and make it functional, and I'm interested!
GeorgiaPD 408
I love these AK kits for LEOs only. Are there ANY LEOs running around with AKs or Saiga 12 gauges? Yes, there are two LEO's on here that carry S12's everyday at work.
IronDragoon 0
So, this is my first post on the forum, and I don't want to shoot myself in the foot, but.. This bullpup chassis for the Saiga 12 from CBRPS has my interest. I know there was some product testing going on for it, but having read through this thread, I never saw any results from it posted. Any ideas as to what the results were? I was looking at the Saiga 12 Standard (second chassis down on their product page), but haven't been able to find any solid reviews of it yet. Additionally, I know there's a couple other kits out there (one for the 20 gauge, and the Kushnapup which looks like it will never see the light of day), but if anyone has links to some good alternatives and/or reviews for them, I'd greatly appreciate getting hooked up with them. Torqued 8
Coming from someone digs bull pups....Sorry But I Im not diggin it. It looks bulky, cheap, and not very functional. The multiple mags also looks pretty cheesy.
csmw 98
If I wanted to go short, I would just SBS it, and chop the bbl 12" (or have tony make an 8") and be done with it. Seems like a lot of work to get basically the same result. imho Edited February 6, 2011 by C&S Metall-Werkes
IronDragoon 0
Just got an email from 'Bernie.' Apparently the stock only comes in black or white, and he expects to ship his run in a month or so.. As for the extra magazine, I agree it's kinda.. Goofy. But, a solid alternative/fix is just getting a block of machined metal with a groove cut into it to accommodate the mag release pieces. Get a machine shop to drill some holes through the stock and the metal block, secure it with suitable bolts/nuts. You can even have them machine in, or attach, a rail system if you want. But, that gets more into modding a mod, which typically ends up fairly disastrous from my experience.. Though, I'll return his email with the suggestion..
Sian 14
I'm going to be trying one of these out. I plan to keep everyone updated on how it goes.
Tolderian 1
Well, as a newb, I don't really feel I have the right to say anything, but if I may... the only thing I don't like (aside from the spare mag thing) is how the back part looks like it's failing at trying to cover up the original setup. Maybe adopt a more FS2000 look to give it a solid cover-up? I could use the extra space to hide skittles. [edit] I read this thread last night but don't remember if someone said anything about a better butt plate? I showed this to some friends and they said the current one looks like it'd hurt with the recoil of the 12. I think the FS2000 look would also remedy this problem. Kinda sucks to fire them slugs without having it pulled in tight. No, but seriously... this would look hotter. I hate a mall ninja as much as the next guy but... me likey futuristic stuff long time *braces for remarks* I also just realized... I'm SOL being left-handed aren't I... Tolderian 1
Ah well... I'm heartbroken. Just found out from Bernie that the Spike is only for 18" S12... my 24" just isn't good enough to spend time with I think the Spike with the black anodized whatchamahickey would look pretty slick with the front grip. I just don't want the standard since I can't get to my gas tube and that I have to use a mag as a foregrip. Hopefully he'll come out with something for my 24" barrel before the apocalypse... like some sorta Bullpup/G36 crossbreed... yeah... that'd be sexy *slides hand under desk*

Something about carrying slugs which, no offense, just isn't logical. If I wanted to carry a different ammunition type, I'd carry it in a separate pouch. Where I put it doesn't change how cumbersome it is to pull out the current mag, eject the former ammo type, and then move the mag from front to back. As for the TAC sleeve... it's part of what I want. I like the idea of using the carrying handle as a foregrip and without the sleeve, I can't use detachable flip sights. Mall-Ninja though it may seem, that's what appeals to me and it's different strokes for different folks. Not that you implied that, just kinda throwing that out there as a "just-in-case" for others haha. But as I mentioned in the forums, or to him, or somewhere... I think if he made a longer tac-sleeve, it'd kinda look like a G36/Bullpup monstrosity that would tickle my pickle. I would be happy to use that. Not everyone has SBS and I hope he won't disregard the minority. I mean, he says it's a 12-week machining lead time... so... how much would it hurt to just extend the current concept and machine a custom one for me. I'd crap out an extra $100 for that. Though a tac-sleeve that goes the whole length might not be all that appealing... hmm... I'm conversing with myself in this single post lol. I hope he figures something out. I need a balance between function and aesthetics. It's why I got a Springfield XD with the 5" barrel. Hate the way the glock looks, didn't particularly like the utility of the Sig... my choice was a balance between effectiveness and sexy

That's one sexy beast that makes me wish I had slightly larger hands.
Tolderian 1
I wouldn't say compact. I think it's very full-size. I can't conceal it worth a fig. In the dead of winter, I can use a shoulder holster and it's slightly not noticeable under a loose-fitting leather jacket, but usually I just carry it on a duty belt. I can't use an in-the-pants holster, it looks ridiculous. Fortunately, I open carry for the sake of it. It just so happens that it's more concealed during the winter haha. It's the one time of the year that I don't frighten all the sheeple. The XDM is the next best thing though... adjustable grip for small or large hands. I hated the compact. The shorter barrel, obviously, had worse recoil... but the concussion hit me in the face which caused me to flinch whereas the 5" didn't. I think it's the XD Tactical, honest, that's what I HEARD, I'm not trying to mall-ninja. I'm a gun n00b. But Bernie... gimme mah 24" Spike por favor!
Sian 14
Bernie's updated his saiga spike page, now with pics of black anodized Spike. I have to say, it looks better than I thought. Also the barrel shroud is no longer optional. I wonder if it will work with a decent IC choke muzzle brake.
tktm 13
Make a TBK-0145K kit for the Saiga 12 and I would buy it. macgyverhk 3
I imagine it is great for bugs. My thought is... if it is going to look similar to the Starship Troopers gun then make it exactly like the Starship Troopers gun. In the very least it would make for a functioning movie prop. It is in the picture to demonstrate the diminutive size of the SGWorks kit. Edited February 25, 2011 by macgyverhk
