GregM1 241
very nice. i still think of doing that with my 20" 223. Did you make the stock or buy it?
psl sniper 963
very nice. i still think of doing that with my 20" 223. Did you make the stock or buy it? its a modded wood stock i picked up from GB. the svd cheeck rest clone was pure me, made it from scratch using a fire extinguisher release. im going to get one of the slip on recoil pads nxt for some length. good eye on the people who mentioned tabuk, thats what i was going for. i basicly wanted a realy accurate ak variant sniper rifle (or DMR for the rest of you) and i thought "why not a 21" barreled saiga with a virgen barrel" the price was right. way cheaper than an rpk. the barrel is a little thinner than my budies romanian rpk, but it will outshoot it any day of the week. thanks for the comments. psl sniper 963
you cant really see the svd type cheek rest. ill try and get some better picks.
Trickey99 10
Sweet setup! My next gun will be something very similiar. l figure if l buy ammo for my ak (my mid-range gun), why not build an accurate ak-type sniper. Easier to bulk up on one type of ammo than several. So what kind of yardage have you tested her out on? l'd be interested to hear how long she is
psl sniper 963
ive been able to do some really nice headshots (water jug) out to 400 meters (thats how the scope measures) i think once i get the rubber butt pad extension (say that without chuckiling) ill be able to extend the range better. right now the stocks a little too short. it makes it a little dificult to get a proper cheeck weld. DrThunder88 912
Great rifle! There's nothing humorous about rubber butt pad extensions. They're very practical so long as you can still stick a cleaning kit into the butt hole. Edited January 12, 2011 by DrThunder88
