goldenpony 61
Are AGP 8 round magazines any good?
Mullet Man 2,114
You mean SGM 8rd? I think the only way you can get an AGP 8rd mag is to buy an AGP 10rd mag, then buy an AGP floor plate and cut the 10rd mag down to an 8.

Mullet Man 2,114
Interesting. Didnt know they offered an 8 like that, ready to go.

goldenpony 61
I've seen some good things on here concerning AGP magazines. I assume the 8 round mags are good. I'd like an Izzy, but can't find any at a sane price.
goldenpony 61
Well, I ordered one. I'll let you guys know how it works when I get it.
The_Caged_Bird 474
It's more-than-likely got guts from a ten rounder. I've never had a problem with my AGP 10 rounder, I'm betting that you'll like it.
goldenpony 61
Got my 8 round AGP mag today. Snapped in my gun perfectly and I ran 8 rounds through it without issue. I'm happy.
IPvFletch 2
Did you do any of the mods to the magazine or magazine well or receiver?? Do you have an aftermarket mag well or RockNLock? I might be getting some of these AGP (10 round) mags, just curious how plug and play they are... Edited May 11, 2012 by IPvFletch
crankywanker 7
is agp promag?
ndmak 10
is agp promag? no
The_Caged_Bird 474
Not only no, but HELL TO THE NO! Seriously, google AGP, agparms will be one of the first results...
goldenpony 61
No, gun has no mods as far as the magazine. I bought a couple of 5 round mags and had to file on them (I think they were Keep Shooting) to get them to work. This AGP 8 round just snapped right in and worked well. Not bad for $30. I would loved to have gotten an Izzy, but not for $200.
Groovy Mike 36
Should I stay away from the ProMags?
The_Caged_Bird 474
Should I stay away from the ProMags? They make good drums for the S-12, it's hit or miss with the stick mags...
stuken3 0
Goldenponey. Everywhere I've looked on line for the AGP 8 rounder has listed them as "sold out". Where did you order your 8 rounder from?
goldenpony 61
I got mine from 44MAG.com
RedChallenger 149
Out of curiosity, I own AGP 10rnd mags that I like a lot, whats the benefit of going to 8rnds?
goldenpony 61
Only real advantage is the 8 rounder isn't as long.
jackface 8
Only real advantage is the 8 rounder isn't as long. I always wanted an 8rd mag.can you post a pic of a 10rd and an 8rd next to each other to compare size.thanks
goldenpony 61
I do not have a 10 round mag, only 5 and 8.
Bayoupiper 738
I carried my S-12 shorty as a duty weapon and used several AGPs that I cut down to 8 rounds. That difference was huge in the manipulation of the weapon when sweeping buildings. Other than that or just wanting 8 round mags, I don't see much point. Fox84 0
Thanks for the 44mag.com site. Close out sale I got 2 a few left
mavereq 4
thanks for the link. i just ordered two of these mags.
Fox84 0
I'am a little disapointed. The AGP 8 round mag is the same size as my 10 round Pro Mag. That's wrong.
Fox84 0
Strange how I can put 10 rounds in my 8 round mag.
Fox84 0
How dificult is it to modify the size of the AGP mags. I'am trying to decide to either modify my 10 round mags or return them.
jackface 8
Strange how I can put 10 rounds in my 8 round mag. maybe they gave you a 10rd by mistake
Fox84 0
That's what they say. For $17 I can make them any size I want. I cut a 10 rd Promag in half today. I just think a 10 round mag is to long. It takes away from the lines of a AK. JMHO Edited May 31, 2012 by Fox84
