Grid down is super fucking bad - but it's not as bad as never having had a grid - for those who survive the initial shock of food and fuel distribution failing, anyway.

Seriously, power going out for an extended period of time is really bad - but it's not as bad as living in the ebola mud forest foraging for nuts and monkey flesh.

Its by design, and it'll only get worse.

Ebola is not just some incurable disease; it is an unstoppable plague of biblical proportions with the potential to very quickly wipe out almost all of the human race if we don't control it. I unders

Let's hope that Obummer catches it during the summit... hey, a guy can hope.   Yep, we can contain nuclear reactors...like in Japan...   Isolation in hospitals is perfect, just don't Google nos

Really?  So you think people who have lived their lives without a power grid will do worse than people who have never known a day without starbucks and facebook?

Most Americans have never eaten a meal that wasn't grown by someone using the power grid, distributed by someone using the power grid, sold by someone using the power grid.

All that we have relies on the grid.  And we rely on all that we have to live.  Take away the power and all that remains of the infrastructure is irrelevant.

But this thread is about ebola.  And ebola won't knock out the grid.

Like I said - everyone that survives the initial shock :D

The 2% who survive will have it way better than Liberian forest dwellers.

Ebola could potentially knock out the grid, indirectly - enough of the population sick or dead and there aren't enough people left to keep all the shit running.

Incredibly unlikely - but this is a paranoia thread, so it's okay to think that way.

GUYS

"At around 11pm on Sunday, the Department of Health said that tests for the deadly Ebola virus on the woman who died at Gatwick had proved negative."

WOULD THEY TELL THE TRUTH IF IT WERE OTHERWISE; I'M NOT CONFIDENT.....
