G O B 3,516
The sanctions are working very well. The Russian economy is in the tank. They need $100 a barrel oil at a minimum to survive without sanctions. With oil under a C note, AND sanctions upping the price of imports and choking exports, Putin is in danger of finding himself put in a 6" deep hole.

Much like ours. I don't think they are hurting as much as many want them to.

Capt Nemo 882
Russia is already accepting other currencies other than the petrodollar, and they're still buying gold.
vepr12x 89
Molot had a deal with schmiesser germany to supply vepr12's to 17 nato countries. They should license schmiesser to produce kalashnikov based firearms in germany for export. Side step the sanctions and would be quality for sure.
storm6490 2,768
The sanctions were not over the Ukraine. It is good to hear about the company's strategic move but, this is not about the Ukraine, it is about protecting U.S. reserves. Russia and China are in bed with each other and this is about the only way we can hurt the Russians without going to war. We don't really need to go to war with a country that has a well trained army and nukes.
