  1. Ill buy the chinese 223 mags from you. I call dibs if he wants to sell them. How much ?? that is if you want to sell them. I never bothered to check what is needed to make the Chinese mags work in the Saiga, but I have used the EG Bakelite 74 mags (slightly modded --follower, feed lips, and ramp on the mag) in a 223 MAK and NHM 90. From what I can tell you won't need a bullet guide (the mag handles the guiding angle) and all you should need to do is dremmel the font of the mag to clear the trunion -- match the factory mag profile (or get rid of the "bumps" on the trunion itself). You
  2. You may need to do some fitting but from what I see the 5.56 MAK mags could be fit to the saiga and you wouldn't need a feed ramp since the mags have a built in "feed ramp."
  3. Just you wait, soon some large brained fool at BATFE will realize that the '74 style brake is on an assualt rifle. Then they'll say FH's and brakes are AW features. Where's the aspirin.................
  4. Where can I find one of those pointy 4-section muzzle brakes? The Flash supp. is the Bulgy type for 24mm threads. KVAR used to sell them. Midwest Armory has a US made version of them. The pic lost some resolution from the original.
  5. Rope is a bit cheaper than tar 'n' feathers so that is good to know This was supposed to be a quote but I screwed up the tag, and am too lazy to fix it right. Ooops. Avatar, Gene Taylor is a special case. He is one of the old-style Southern Conservative Democrats. Not a lot left anymore. Gene Taylor is one of the best friends the RKBA will ever know. I'm not a Democrat, (thank god) but I have supported this man. John Thank God for the South.
  6. A democrat fighting vigorously against a ban? Am I gonna need to cut back on my order for tar and feathers?
  7. I agree wholeheartedly. I do however remember what happened the last time anyone tried to exercise their right to leave the Union.
  8. "I have again introduced legislation to permanently ban assault weapons. These weapons have no practical use. They are not used by hunters for sport or by individuals for self-defense. They are intended to kill as many individuals as possible in a short amount of time and have no place on our streets. The unfortunate situation in Philadelphia could have been avoided if Congress stood up to the gun lobby in 2004." This crap just goes on and on. If the majority of our populace is so uneducated by our schools (which cost us a hell of a lot of money), and agrees with the above statement then t
  9. Crappy pic and it's the only one I have

  12. Tapco's T-6 stock offers a lot of length if you like the look. http://www.tapco.com/proddesc.aspx?id=5631...2e-6ece269bd62a

  14. If you chamber the shell/round OK, it sounds like your hammer is following the carrier. My best guess would be the disconnector is releasing the hammer to soon. The disconnector is the spring loaded part with the hook on it. It holds the hammer down until the trigger resets. You probably need to file/dremmel a bit off the forward under side of it. This will let it rotate fwd more and hold the hammer long enough to catch on the trigger hook(s) when the carrier goes forward into battery. Before doing anything check to make sure your FCG is assembled properly -- both tails of the spring on the
  15. I ordered June 24th and I am #65 in in line!!! At least I hope that is what that means. Haven't got a clue where in line I might be, but I did choose the unassembled option so they would ship faster
  16. Now that's tacky Sorry couldn't resist. Seriously though sounds like a good simple idea. The best kind. You may want to use the original formula JB -- it is more shock resistant than the quick formula, but if it works .
  17. Like Tony said it is hard to tell from the pic, but it looks like you didn't go to far into the chamber. If the same or more of the case is supported than in your SAR you should be good to go. Just check your first couple cases in the head area when you fire brass cased 223/5.56, to be safe.
  18. Looking good. Does the rear align with the Front sight OK?

  20. sorry I dont have enough techanil knowledge to take photos ,The guide I mean is the groove where the rim runs up and down and the last shell runs off and gets stuck in the thick part of the plastic stopping the spring from pushing the next round in ,hope this explains things better maybe ive just worn it out Try a little dry lube, might help? Dry lube is a good idea. Also have you switched ammo lately? There are slight differences between manufacturers rims. And yes. You do buy "lots of Mags."
  21. I've got a couple ACEs on various guns and can't complain about 'em. They are a great stock. Tony's stock looks more appropriate on an S-12 - It's "beefier." I'm considering one for my S-12 to replace the ACE.
  22. Check the for sale forum. It's in there. You need to PM Jeric.
  23. If it cycles fine don't worry about it. It will eventually loosen up.
  24. Jeric, that looks awesome. I'm definitely in on buying one for the S12 and maybe my S223 if you make some later on. One question though -- my S12 has the factory hold open, do I need to cut another slot for your new hold open or does the manual use the OEM slot? Also as long as it doesn't give away any trade secrets could you post or PM any installed pics or maybe the install instructions to get an visual on of what I need to do for the install? My dremmel awaits.
