  5. I have always gone gladly and served. In the 7-8 times called I have ended up on two juries. I was seated but removed from one during the preliminary stuff (?) because the defense lawyer caught that I rolled my eyes as he explained over and over "a person is innocent until proven guilty" He called my name and asked if I had a problem with the concept. I replied that I didn't but I was starting to form an opinion about his client based on the fact that he kept harping the issue. Who says you can't have fun while serving on a jury? Certainly not me! In the other trial that I was on, we
  6. Four and that's about it for me. One is converted and the others will get converted when I find the time. Just wanted to get a bunch in case "something" happens on the federal or state level.
  7. I'm in, payment sent for one light and switch thanks Paul aka Psssniper
  8. There's always the goldenrod device BUT as I am a cheap bastard I use a light bulb. Yup a plain old light bulb. I have a thermometer in the safe and tried different wattage bulbs till I arrived at the temp I wanted. Keeps the safe contents warm and dry.
  9. Received mine today and installed, nice work Tromix! And thanks to CSS for taking care of us here in California
  10. but......... but........ its battle ready!!
  11. My dog died a few years back, don't know that I can ever replace him. Daughters dog in the pic, if he had opposable thumbs he'd flip me off.
  12. There are intermediary FFLs who will receive your S-12 install a maglock and then ship to your Ca FFL. Costs vary but run around $75-100+ to receive, install their "proprietary" maglock and ship. Henderson in Nevada is one, EvilBlackRifles in Colorado is another.
  13. Went to Iron Sights range today and ran some of the value pak through the S-12 with the two enlarged ports and the newly drilled third port. Was having 100% FTE's until I remembered to change the gas setting,(dohhh!!) then things went to about 10-15% FTE. The FTE's were so close to ejecting, often halfway out of the gun so I am getting close. I have two of the Gunfixer gas plugs on the way from MDARMS I'll give that a try and then if I need to, I'll open up the gasports to a #43 drill.
  14. Looking for a WASR 22 if you have one for sale or know of one please send me an email or PM me through the forum, thanks!! Psssniper at yahoo dot com
  15. Checked my S-12 out with a paperclip and flashlight, found two holes near the very front of the gashole(?) I assumed that one or two more might be buried so I followed your tutorial. It all came apart easily and it all went back together just as easy, guess I got lucky. Big suprise though! these were the only two holes in the barrel. I found the drill number size of the existing holes and then enlarged them. (45 to a 44 if I remember correctly) then since there was tons of room I added another hole and yes I angled it forward just like the factory holes. I decided to drill because I have alre
  16. *New* Factory Saiga 12 handguard - $25.00/plus shipping I'll take the Saiga Factory handguard and possibly the surefire handguard. I need some pics of the surefire and/or I'll search it out on the net. Edit to add: alright I'll stick with the Factory handguard only and I'll also take the buffer. PM sent for details, thanks man!
  17. I marked the spots where, during the safety levers movement arc, the gun is on safe and fire. Then I just touched a small drill to these spots to make little dimples. The safety lever has a little bump on the back that likes to stop in those dimples. May or may not be a good idea in the long run but it works for me.
  18. Calif law says a shotgun becomes an assault weapon by these definitions So it looks like if you convert and add a pistol grip, you can't have a folder. I don't agree. The maglock solution is legit and 100% defensible. Tens of thousands of AR's and AK's are in use every day and barely rate a second glance by LEO (except maybe in admiration) FFL's are transfering Saiga12's no problem and they wouldn't be doing it if they thought they would lose their license. The ten round mags are legal under calif law, yes they do look HUGE!!! but they're legit.
  19. Everything arrived safe and sound, appreciate the packing job. Thanks man!!
  20. BRC heres a couple links for you to get more information on California and what we have accomplished in the last 4-5 years From almost three years ago the original MMG http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/showthread.php?t=35072 The Calguns forum http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/index.php Calguns foundation http://www.calgunsfoundation.org/ Assault weapon flow chart http://www.calguns.net/caawid/flowchart.pdf
  21. I'll take the following Galil HG with Tromix bracket for S-12 $50.00 + shipping Saw grip $20.00 + shipping 3 AGP mags $50.00 per + shipping
  22. EJECT EJECT EJECT I found and bought three sets So no longer am I
  23. fixed mags of ten rounds or less negate the "evil", so just get a maglock and your good to go. Tell the buyer to send you a maglock and charge him to put it on and away you go!! Go to calguns.net and do a search for "ak maglocks" there is the JJPerl the raddlock and one other which I cant remember the name of. My Saiga12 is on the way from a dealer in colorado, who has no problem sending it in to calif and my FFL in california has no problem receiving it. We have made major gains in calif against the screwed up laws. Keep up to date on calgun if your interested

    DONATIONS?

A gathering of information and dedicated individuals in one place, available to help me learn about something I am interested in is worthy of my donation. These sites do cost money to run and maintain. I guess the "me" generation expects everything to be handed to their lazy asses and it better be fast and it better look good. Most of these "me"s will pour God awful amounts of money into a gun to get "the look" and then they will stick it in the safe and most likely never shoot it. God forbid they kick down $10 to help a good site stay afloat. rant off
