  1. I wonder what exactly "IMAGE INTENSIFIER, NIGHT VISION" is and why my county needed a shitload of them. Like, three pages of them - at a claimed value of $10,747 each, then more pages of the same thing but valued at $6,800. Like, maybe one for every officer in the department. There about 800 in the Omaha Police Department, not sure how many in the Douglas County Sheriff's office, but many fewer than the city. I would also be wary of trusting this information as accurate - our local Sheriff's Office recently took delivery of a surplus armored vehicle, and that is not listed here.
  2. There are Romanian pump-action AKs out there, as well - I had one for a little while, didn't care for it. There's no locking mechanism - the only thing keeping the bolt carrier locked in position is the spring - what is called the recoil spring on a semi-auto. Very unsafe, in my opinion.
  3. Corbin - I don't, but I'd make that trade in a heartbeat. Does that bolt fit a standard carrier? I might see if I can obtain a complete BCG just to trade for that bolt.
  4. You should do a little more research on modern rifle plates - you are very wrong.
  5. Nope. A standard AR receiver is designed to accept a stock - or a tube. Similarly, that hole pattern can accept an Ace stock - or a folding mechanism with something that is not a stock.
  6. No reason why it should be any different. I've seen it done. The only possible concern would be constructive possession, if you also have a compatible stock and no other weapon it is meant for.
  7. That might be the same action, but it's a different weapon - the Bushmaster Assault Rifle was a full-length rifle that took M16/AR15 mags. I believe it was also short-stroke gas piston. This thing: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/f/fb/First_Generation_Bushmaster_Assault_Rifle.JPG Though the one I saw had a folding stock, not fixed.
  8. Surprising. The old Bushmaster "Assault Rifle" - yeah, they really called it that, stamped right on the gun - had a stamped sheet metal upper receiver, basically just a rectangular tube. I figured they would've gone the same route because it's cheap. I've made that error - but it didn't tear my cheek off. Startled the shit out of me and hurt a bit for sure. It was my fault - it was someone else's rifle (either a Steyr AUG or an FN FS-2000, I can't recall) handed to me with a loaded mag, on the range. I just charged it, then fired - had no idea the owner was a lefty and wasn't bright e
  9. BUT SOMEONE SPENT LOTS OF TIME WITH A SOLDERING IRON STIPPLING THE GRIP!
  10. You could make a quick $200 and reinvest your profit in steel-cased 7.62x39, while it's still available.
  11. I would love one - nice and light, gives less of a shit what mix of ammo you feed it. I'd want it as an SBS, or maybe even a full-length shotgun.
  12. looks very nice. I hope it's around $800 - would make it a very attractive purchase. They're short-stroke gas piston operated, right? Ugh, just looked further into it. They're going to be $1800.
  13. Wow. Fuckers. Local place got in 100k rounds of Fiocchi bulk pack recently. 500 rounds = $50 Exploitive shit.
  14. I learned something new. Thanks, Cobra.
  15. IO is notorious for shoddy assembly. A buddy of mine managed to take a rifle home with the rear trunnion installed incorrectly - the trunnion wasn't slid all the way on the rails on the right side, and the receiver was just sort of crushed out of the way by the press when it was riveted. No idea how that shit passed "QC"
  16. I've fired one a bit. Stripped one down at a gun store before, I remember it was kind of novel how it took down.
  17. Is it happening during operation? If not, don't worry about it. Many AK platforms hang up around that position during hand cycling. It's not a bad thing.
  18. This is only fair game if you already know the answer.
  19. Read - he said he plans to replace the FSB, which was removed for the Kushnapup.
