Happening in my neck of the woods

Yeah. It used to be called the Posse Comitatus act of 1878. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Posse_Comitatus_Act Since Waco, I think it has been largely ignored, just like our immigration laws. -
Bye Bye Internet

It seems to me that the world was a saner, friendlier place before the internet. I don't miss buying encyclopedias and atlas' ever couple of years...and phone books were good and bad. I cancelled DirecTV because I despise paying for TV and still having to endure endless ads. I refuse to have any phone that does more than work as a phone and text. I also refuse to online bank and online bill pay. I still keep maps and gazateers and compasses in my truck and can use them. If the internet wet away tomorrow, the only thing I'd miss would be the free porn. Oh - and this site... Mac -
Draco's are the standard 14x1 LH I have tried several on mine and the Tapco birdcage (AR style @ $20) has been the best for muzzle flash. The AK-74 style seems best as a break. OAL was important to me so I went with the Tapco FH. Your results may vary.

The use of a firearm in a non-military situation is a projection of your will. Your will should be to stop the aggression and obtain the compliance of the aggressor. Training allows you to rapidly administer your will at the proper time, place and on the proper target. Macbeau sends... -
On things I never want to move again, (Scope bases, sling swivels, 922r muzzle devices) I use GRAY Loctite.... AKA - JB Weld I have a Chinese BWK-92 with a flash suppressor so affixed because the ChiComs turned the threads off of the muzzle to get it importable. It has been on since 1993 and through several thousand rounds without a hint of movement. The trick is to use fresh stuff. Macbeau sends...

I've had one for 17 years and carried it for about 6 years. It's aluminum frame takes a beating from the steel slide, but it still works flawlessly. A Kel-Tec P3AT is thinner, lighter, carries 1 less of a far more effective round and is about the same price, That, and it's easier to rack the slide. I now carry the P3AT daily. Macbeau sends...

^^^THIS^^^ Either ALL of the Constitution applies.... or, NONE of it does. Macbeau send... We will have to agree to disagree. My wife has a green card and is a Slovak national. She is the mother of my two American children and has taken hunters safety in Montana and multiple concealed carry and defensive pistol and shotgun classes. She can legally purchase and own firearms and carry them openly or concealed. She has a duty to protect her family as do I. She has a social security number, a tax identification number, pays more in taxes than a majority of Americans, speaks our lan -

SC Approves Concealed Carry in Restaurants Finally
macbeau replied to Dad2142Dad's topic in Southeast
Now! If GA and SC could get a CCW reciprocity agreement....! That would be great! I hate having to un-strap when I go to S.C.(to the VA Hospital in Charleston....). I can carry from GA through GA, FL, AL, MS, LA and TX to El Paso - and all is good. I can go from Key West, FL to the UP of Michigan up I-75, no problem! I go across a bridge 20 miles north (I-95) - not legal - until I get to N.C... My drivers license is fine in 50 states. My carry license - not so much.... Macbeau sends.... -

Evidentially, the "Peter Principal" applies to all of us in terms of firearm usage, caliber and experience.... To be fair, some of those women were set up to fail... As for the dude who shot a hole in his mothers ceiling, I have ZERO pitty for him!....Dumbass wigger!!!!! Macbeau sends.... -
Jerry is FOS on knowing how to handle an AK. I have seen him, in person, several time, using an AK in demonstrations and/or compettions using an AK platform. HE AND HIS DAUGHTER BOTH shoot S-12's on the 3-gun circuit.... Anyway.... I digress... I agree and acknowledge that MagPul, P-Mags are some of the best DOMESTICALLY produced AR rifle mags available. I think MagPul using Jerry to hawk their new product so early on is sad.... (without testing them somewhere else first). That he agreed to it (this early in their development) is sad too. I'd like to try one, but I won't fill an ammo

I'd say you have the wrong bolt (either a 7.62x39 or a VEPR or something else) and, if that's true, the head-space is possibly completely in question. I would check the firing pin length after I had it head spaced and the front trunnion checked out by someone who knows AK's The Ruskies put that extra lug on Saiga and VEPR rifles for a reason and if the bolt was replaced with something else, I'd wanna know why, or at least, that the replacement could handle the pressure of a .308/7.62x51.... I've read a lot of things on this board, but you my friend win the prize for the most ignorant, arsine and stupidest thing I have read yet. Perhaps, but at least I can spell asinine (or at least smart enough to use spell-checker). Using the persona of a 17th century witch hunter on a 20th century gun board with nothing constructive to add just make you a 21st century troll. I expressed on opinion. Nothing more. Nothing less. If you disagree; fine. There is no reason to be insulting; unless you really are just trolling. Macbeau...

Home Raided Over Unregistered Ammo

Having worked in a District Attorney's office, it's not about "Justice" or even "fairness". It's about whether or not you can get an indictment with a Grand Jury and conviction with a Jury of "Peers". Common sense, compassion, "Simple Mistakes" NEVER plays into the thought or "logic" process... It's all about getting convictions - even if it involves intimidation and plea deals. DA's and ADA's live by their "conviction" record. Good on him! Sounds like they are grasping at straws... It's kinda like "solicitation". Or - attempting to acquire something immoral or obscene -
Or one quick pass on a polishing wheel... Or replacing the firing pin with an after market / different firearms pin... Or policing your brass... Anyone who claims to be a "responsible gun owner" from California (or Massachusetts or N.Y. or Illinois, etc..) and they haven't immigrated to the United States of America, should be viewed with skepticism and distrust. "The BIG One" in CA can't happen soon enough, as far as I am concerned. Why do so-called Americans still visit, much less live there? Seriously? Good for S&W and Ruger! Macbeau sends....

7.62 vs 5.45
macbeau replied to Redrum4u's topic in General Discussion - Any topic is welcome here!!!
I prefer 7.62x39, but anything in X39 is fine.... If you can stock up on it. Go with the rifle, mags, and ammo you can afford the most of... BTW - If I wasn't so invested in 5.56 and 7.62x39, I'd go 5.45x29... Just FYI... Macbeau sends... -

One hell of a mute button huh macbeau! All of this home defense talk has me wanting to ask a question... as a father of a 2 month old, it wont be long before i have to keep arms under lock and key. Any suggestions for keeping a gun at the ready with a kid in the house? Short of getting really good at using a key fast? I will teach my kid to respect firearms and gun safety but i was wondering if there was another option in regards to being quickly able to deploy a gun in a home setting with a kid just in case of shit. Any thoughts? Introduce them young to [unloaded] firearms and make it kn -

I applaude and am greatful for their service and sacrifice, but it didn't have to happen. The Navy and USMC have no business in an inland war that's 200+ miles from a coast and NAVSPECWAR doesn't play well in JSOC. Not the operators fault, just tragic cause the Navy and USMC are suck prima-donnas in JSOC. That scenario played out hunderds of times in WWII, Korea and Vietnam... I wish it hadn't happened and I know they [The operators] did their best, but, it was not their venue and not a SEAL mission. [Neither was the take-down of Bin Laden, but I digress]... I have a at least one firearm stashed in every room of my house and at least 3 in my car.... and I always carry... even at home. I view firearms like a Swiss Army knife of a P-38 can opener... Or a remote control for solving problems... Macbeau sends...
