  1. Liberty Leonidas with a 9" barrel The integral suppressor is removable.
  2. If you are going to get into reloading soon, you better do it... well, soon. Like after the current panic subsides, but before the next one hits. Timing is everything. If you do take the plunge into reloading, develop a direction and a plan, and when you spot a good deal on components, buy and buy till it hurts. It is good to have several reloading manuals, but a good one to start with as far as an introduction into technique and safe practices is the Lyman manual. A lot of load data and info can be had online, too. http://www.hodgdon.com/basic-manual-inquiry.html http://www.reload
  3. There has been a run on those shoulder things that go up. They are out of stock with no ETA, all price ranges. https://www.exilemachine.net/shop/rifle-44/shoulder-things-that-go-up-198/
  4. I agree. There is no constitutional basis for Piers deportation. But putting the shoe on the other foot, even briefly, can be a worthwhile pursuit. After the Supreme Court case Kelo vs. New London Ct there was a petition to declare eminent domain on Justice Stevens house and evict him. Anyone who is not familiar with this case should look it up, it's a real eye popper. Piers Morgan will likely be around for a long time to come, like a really bad smell.

  6. Don't look at me, I haven't bought any .223 lately. I have a quantity in sealed battle packs as a standard buffer, and I'm still loading my own .223 from pre-'99 primers with red and orange bands on the white packaging.
  7. I've myself been wondering, and in the broad light of day, where the Hell does someone like Lanza come from? What molded that mind? A lab experiment gone wrong, or a Psych Op gone as planned?
  8. I haven't been panic buying, but I have been making some prudent purchases. All at fair prices.
  9. I'm building a 300 BLK bolt gun on a Savage Model 12 Varmint .223 that I bought as a donor rifle. I am setting this up as a 600 yard rifle, subsonic or super, and it will be suppressed. The Savage stock is shit. After 3 months of waiting, my choice of replacement stock became available yesterday. I bought it immediately. It is now out of stock again. http://www.midwayusa.com/product/174505/choate-tactical-rifle-stock-savage-10-short-action-center-feed-with-44-screw-spacing-left-hand-composite-black
  10. I bought them some time ago, all during a period of calm. I am currently in the market for a 500 S&W Handi-Rifle. Plan to order it after Christmas. This single shot rifle is very, very low on the ban list, but I'm going to get the barrel cut down to Title I minimum, then get it threaded to accept my VERS50 Suppressor. Barrel threading could be on the hit list, so I'm going to waste little time getting it done.
  11. 5000 Large Pistol Magnum Primers. Primers, and most other components still seem to be holding price. Likely not much longer.
  12. Fudd store, with Fudd clerks behind the gun counter. Anything I would want in there, Walmart has it cheaper.
  13. Brace yourself for the article photo of that haggard wretch. http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2012/12/16/feinstein-to-introduce-assault-weapons-ban-bill/comment-page-2/
  14. You could call and get a status update. How do I go about it, this is my first NFA iteam so its all new to me. Call 304 616-4500. Tell the receptionist who answers you want to check on the status of your item. They will ask for the serial #, your name, and the business name of the dealer. They will then give you a status. Remember, be nice.
  15. 5000 Small Rifle Magnum Primers, a quart of Butches Bore Shine, and 1000 - 147 grain 9mm HP projectiles, for subsonic suppressed loads.. Reloaders, check out and bookmark http://www.rmrbullets.com/ Oh yea, and a 3 pack of Stamp Collector shirts.
  16. Pauly, Do yourself a Really Big Fucking Favor, go to http://classicshell.sourceforge.net/ , download, install, follow some basic instructions, tweak it somewhat and don't look back. Windows 8 does boot up fast, but the layout is a Gay~ Emo~ wetdream. I mean, WTF is with the Charm Bar? Who would dream that shit up?
  17. As has been pointed out, the receptionists do not process and are not involved with processing item documentation. Verifying item status is part of their job. As to "not calling being easier", I have heard of Forms disappearing after check cashing, sometimes for months. Rare, but it happens. Pending means the form has been entered into the system. Prior to the Form being entered, they can't bring it up on computer, at least the department that processes. I have 1rst hand been on the receiving end of Bureaucratic SNAFUs in the past, so I am always skeptical of government and that go
  18. When you shoot it, be sure to wear a hat. One with a large bill.
  19. Ever hear of that one? Well, you have now. I called today to check on the status of an Item, a Bowers Vers50, to see if it went Pending. It had, on 11/26/12. I always verify my items go Pending. When I do, I check on any item near approval. When I asked about another Item that went Pending on on 7/7/12, the answer was "Pending Approval, as of today, November 30th." When I mentioned to Linda, the NFA Receptionist that I was talking to, that I had never heard of that, Linda said, "Pending Approval is a new step in the process. Pending Approval means the item will be approved wi
  20. I'll never quit Face Book, for the same reason I'll never quit smoking. I've never done either.
  21. Have you also considered getting a Pistol and/or Personal Protection in the Home certification? Indiana is a CCW state. Also, a RSO certification would be a good idea for you too. This reminds me, time to renew my creds, they expire on 11/30!
  22. In a case or out of the case, if you take a NFA item to Illinois, there is a chance you would never come back.
  23. I went into Walmart about 2am one Sunday Morning and picked up 8 Federal Value Packs. These are kept unlocked in the Walmarts around here, and this particular Walmart at least doesn't give a shit when you buy it. Walk around a Walmart with 800 rounds of 12 ga in you cart at 2am, even the wee hour freaks give you a wide berth. Anyway, I fucked up somehow and 2 of them were 20 ga. I went back the next day. It took some wrangling, but I was able to exchange them.
