  1. I actually still have one installed in my spare bedroom. Only have Sonic2, Street Fighter2, and Spiderman "maximum Carnage" for it. It's in like new condition since I got it and almost never played it when I was around 13-14 years old (32 now). Wonder if my Dad still has my NES?
  2. Thanks for the update and PM's. I'll get in contact with you and get everything I need to send it in. Hope everyone else examines their own gun to make sure mine is just an isolated incident of Russia's love of Vodka.
  3. Take a look at the Sig 238. I got to shoot it finally today. Thing is a straight shooter and cycled everything I put in it. I was using Fiocci FMJ target loads, Speer Gold Dots, Buffalo Bore +P FMJ and JHP rounds. Great BUG and carry option for days when putting on a holster is a chore.
  4. I may get rid of my grip for cheap soon. It bit the hell out of my hand enough to cause a blood blister on the web of my thumb and fore finger. It's not American made and it's painted Duracoat Blackhawk Coyote Tan with the removable black rubber inserts. I may get a Houge or Ergo once my gun is fixed and not trying to suicide me and itself. Keep your eyes on the WTS forum I may try filling it down some more so it fits more flush with the receiver before I commit to sell it off. I love the way it looks/feels...other than when it's pinching my hand while shooting.
  5. I was curious about that myself. However, that hole is more of a dimple. You can see the Duracoat went down into it but the hole doesn't go all the way through. I have the pick out now to make sure it's not lead fouling it up but it looks like the hole wasn't drilled clean through. ....The hole does not go through. Looks like the drill didn't go all the way through. It is the same steel as the receiver and is seamless.
  6. It was a absolute pucker moment when the dust cover popped up like that. Thankfully I was shooting low brass birdshot at that point and the rear latch I cuss when I take this weapon apart did it's job and kept steel out of teeth. The gunsmith that did the work is reputable and has done many conversions of the Saiga. The paint was applied by an automotive guy that does the duracoat on the side for the smith. I saw the gun before it headed over to paint to approve the color since I had chosen it off the interwebz and had not seen a sample in person. Everything was Kosher. Thread protector was re
  7. I inspected the area BVAMP said to look. There is no paint on the surface when you move the gas tube forward. There is also no paint underneath where the gas tube locks into the gas block. This was only the second time the SAIGA has seen the range due to a busy year dealing with taking care of my mom after the loss of my stepdad and a busy schedule/weather. The first time was back in the summer when I did the initial break in and shot 30-50 slugs (magnums and standard 2 3/4). Everything was shot on 1. I doubt anyone ever removed the barrel. Why would you have to? I spoke to my gunsmith, all he
  8. Local smith did the conversion. I actually sent it in for warranty work before it was converted to CGW last year. My smith did not remove the barrel. Glad it happened with out blowing my face off. I will be sending it in soon. Hopefully warranty covers this?
  9. My new Sig p238. Nitron w/ Rosewood grips. "I used this gun when I was a prostitute"
  10. Sig p238 Nitron with Rosewood grips and shiity cell phone pics(obligatory foot pic included). test fired today. Buffalo Bore +p JHP and FMJ all feed flawlessly as well as 150 rds of Fiocci target FMJ rds. I appendix carried on my strong side inside waist band since I could not find a pocket holster. Forgot I had it on when I came home. Nice little shooter. 5 in groups at 15 yards. Everything was dead center at 10.
  11. Yes I shot the gun on the correct gas setting. Oddly enough and thankfully everything went to shit while firing low brass target rounds. I only have my cell phone pics for now, girl has the camera with her for some reason. The rear latch kept the dust cover from coming completely off and fucking my face.
  12. Went to the range today to test my new SIG 238 and take the other guns out to play. After my pistols ate up all my target loads without a hitch I brought out the SAIGA12 to have some fun too. Shot 20-30 slugs down range banging the 24IN gong at 100 yards. Only did this because I blew one of the legs off the 50 yard gong (it was hanging from a wooden saw horse). After that I got some milk jugs that were lying around and put them out about 25 yards and pushed them down range with federal bulk pack target loads while practicing tactical reloads. One Promag funtions flawlessly while the other won'
  13. I've been hearing a lot of good things about it, and the videos on YouTube look pretty cool. So is it every single game is guaranteed 250-ish people to be playing? That sounds insane. Once you pick a "company" to play for, are you stuck with that one for good? I want to get Battlefield: Bad Company 2 when it comes out, but I'll probably hold out until it goes on sale, 'cause I'm cheap. That game looks awesome too. The completely destructible environment sounds crazy. There was a video of a guy running into a building in one of the objective-based games. Apparently, an enemy team me
  14. Anyone tried MAG on PS3 yet? I played for a few hours last night, I liked it. I picked Raven since they seemed to be the underdogs.
  15. SSHHHHH!!! YOU'RE GOING TO WAKE UP MY NEIGHBORS.
  16. I like this as well. The Losers, based on a comic series from DC/Vertigo. Basically the same thing different flavor. Still looks like fun. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MHvzsFSdxqk
  17. I'm also looking for a smaller CCW carry handgun. Would a 9mm Kurz fit your requirements? I have been trying to locate one of these but they are in such high demand I can't seem to locate one. I will try a large gun show in Houston to see if I can locate one this weekend. Good luck, Yakdung I made an impulse buy the other day and purchased the 289 as a pocket gun for days when I don't feel like throwing on my holster. I found the one in Nitron finish w/ Rosewood grips at my local gunstore while they were haviing a 5% off sale. Got it for $597. Ammo is a bitch to find though. tr
  18. I use Pandora. You pick artist you like and can keep adding them whenever you want. It uses the "music genome project" to find artist that match ones you listen to. Sometimes it picks someone you hate, so you can choose to "hate" it and it goes away. It limits how many songs you can skip, but you can get around that by hitting refresh.
  19. I did mine myself (not recommended...it's serious business). I was careful and didn't take much off. Just a slight dehorning and polished afterwards. Used the pictures on here as a guide. It functions great. I would recommend a business member to do it in case you fudge it up.
  20. Only got shot at once. I couldn't carry since I was at Friday's drinking with friends from work. One of the guys with us had his girl there. He gets up to go to the bathroom and some douchebag comes over and tries to hit on her, drops his number in her lap before her boyfriend comes back from the pisser. She shows him the number and he takes it over to the douchebag and grabs him spins him around and puts the number in his pocket, says he dropped something. Not sure what was going on at this point bouncers got involved, lots of yelling was all I could hear. We spend another 1/2 hour or so hang
  21. Got 10-12 inches here in Richmond. I believe they said we'd get 3-6! Damn this GLOBAL WARMING!
  22. I work for Lowe's I have never seen it there. I'll check it out, maybe it's just not available in my district. I may have to try and have it added to our inventory.
  23. I only have one now. Everytime I see one with wood furniture I realize I will probably buy another.
